- Today's video is a throwback to the black owned plus size designer clothing brands video that I published in 2020. I updated the video with a few more black owned brands that offer plus sizes. I will be doing more videos like this but just wanted to re-share this one.
Black plus size designers are often forgotten about and I want to use my platform to feature them. Also, I do want to be clear that some of the designers included offer misses and plus sizes up to a 3X. Which is size inclusive. I wanted to include some of them because their cuts and fabric quality work well on plus size people.

This is awesome. So many designers make plus sized peices but not in store online only! 😡 Love these designers because they love regular sized women! Many times we thicker ladies are under repped and under appreciated. Kuddos to you for shining a spot light ❤.

The owner of Diyanu is lovely! I have been to the warehouse a few times. She has a great variety of African inspired clothing.
Just FYI - her fabrics used to authentic African prints and made in the USA. Now her clothing is designed in the US but made in China.
She always has coupons, sales and has a rewards program.

These brands are amazing and size inclusive but with the exception of Jolie Noire they are not income inclusive.

I'm so happy to see clothing by black women. Sadly, I can't wear any of them. I have no hips and flat butt, and it's very hard finding things that actually fit me. Aren't there models that's shaped like me, Inverted triangle, or as some say V shaped?

Looks like Diarrablu doesn't have any visual representation of plus size on their Instagram.
Also check out Andrea Iyama she has beautiful, stylish, classy and sexy size inclusive pieces
The only thing that bugs me is that some of these designers don't accept returns. (I didn't check all of them; just speaking about the ones I was interested in buying from).
These clothes cost hundreds of dollars an item, and are only available online, so the fact that I can't get my money back if an item doesn't look good on me or doesn't fit, is unacceptable. Even all the haute couture designers accept returns. I would love to support these companies, but I don't shop anywhere that doesn't accept returns.
I understand that they're small businesses, but they need to find a better business model other than stealing my money.
