Music video by Five Finger Death Punch performing Wrong Side Of Heaven. (C) 2014 Prospect Park - Hudba
I am a vet and almost became homeless. If it wasn't for my girlfriend's mom letting me live with them and get back on my feet, I would have became homeless. I listened to this song so many time before watching this video. And while watching this, I had a hard time focusing on the music because the subtitles and focusing on the expressions of these veterans really got to me. I liked the ending because there are a few amount of people that would help a homeless person, vet or not, off the street like that. When those 2 people locked eyes....
Edit: Well sadly we recently gotten divorced(married for 12yrs and together for 16yrs). It’s been rough for me lately.
She seems to regret what she did but is struggling financially. I’m only struggling mentally. I didn’t have just my heart crushed….it was shattered. Last few months I’ve been having to pick up the pieces to become what I’ve been training to be. Now all I do is work, workout, play video games and watch anime. Anything to keep my mind busy. But at night….when I sleep….its quiet and my mind wonders 😢😭
Thank you for your service. Because of your sacrifice I am safe.
You're a great man,sir.
they were in the same squad too if you payed enough attention. An ANY veteran out there thank you for all the hard work and all the sacrifices you had to make to keep this country safe.
Yeah, I already knew they were battle buddies from the same squad.
Thank you, I've never met you but you risked your life for the sake of my safety. Regardless of the abuses our government uses soldiers to conduct, we cannot abandon our own fellow man.

Praying for all of you Veterans. Today you may know love. Peace. I believe people are so grateful for your service. Get through today and stay strong.
My dad was a big drinker and abuser. I struggled with building relationships after I moved out. Took away my self worth. I soon drowned in the darkness and became my father. I became the man I promised. I would never become. I picked up that bottle and couldn’t let it go. Almost pushing away all my family and loved ones. I put that bottle down 10/19/22 and have made the changes. To being the father, son, and husband and friend my father could never become. I’m grateful that I was able to overcome my addiction. And get the help I needed. Thank you for the song. Really helps keep me motivated to keep pushing. 1 day at a time.
Congratulations Austin! The song that hits me the most is The Tragic Truth. Don't know how many times I woke up on the bedroom floor in my own vomit. My family went through it watching me go through it. I sent that video to my mother and it brought her to tears. She remembers
gj man .... continue like that , take the full control in your hands
One day at a time for sure. That bottle is like a loaded M9 with the safety off for me. I can’t do it anymore because seizures have become a common occurrence. Once your body gets to that point, it’s only a matter of time until the liver is past the point of repair. Scary stuff.

Thank guy's for writing such a powerful song. I'm a retired Operator. This brings tears to my eyes. I somehow came out of it without too much mental damage, but I've seen far too many of my brothers break.
Thank you for raising a voice for soldiers. We do our jobs with Honor, Courage, and Commitment.
Absolutely I’m a Veteran 16 years and 4 16 month deployments and as all Veteran on here knows or Brothers died in countries and for what. I struggle everyday and to all you weak civilians that are to afraid to sign that line and take that oath and be in country telling your Brothers that they are going to be fine knowing the whole damn time you was lying to him and there’s no cure and never will be this is our new life getting treated like trash and can’t get this or that because we are disabled but whoever is to scared and all men of age should do 2-4 years and it might make it better or worse but everyone needs to see what we do and see and it’s never gonna go away…… So me personally I don’t believe this disrespect any Veteran he went back and how many has been in war or military so until then judge us but I like the songs he gets justice for his Dead Brothers and I’ve done the same so say shit about me. I like the song and if had it to do over I be right there.

As a vet, this video gets me in my feelings every time I see it. I have to watch it every time it's a suggested video. I can't just pass it.
To any veterans or current serving members of our military reading this, thank you. Regardless of how debated our presence in the Middle East has become, I for one will always support people that are willing to lay down their lives for others. Especially in this day and age where you receive so many insults from people sitting behind computer screens.
it doesnt matter where you stand politically, our troops/veterans need our support. the men and women of the armed forces are the most selfless and honorable individuals on the planet and have earned that respect through blood, sweat, fire, and tears. everyone needs to remember that freedom isnt free. Thank you Jade Hudson for your support.
wraith502 selfless, honorable? Yeah, right. I guess you forgot how the armed forces used to make fun of Iraqi's and piling them up naked and torturing them everyday right? Honorable my ass you deluded fool
TheSoufiane let us not forget what Iraqis did, and still do to their own people, and any who do not submit to their shariah laws.

This is my 8 year old son’s favorite song. Thank you for helping me educate him and show that we need to support and be compassionate about our veterans. Thank you to all who has served
Be sure to have your son listen to..."Sky Pilot" by Erik Burdon. And 1916 by Lemmy of Motorhead.
Actually....it's Erik Burdon and the Animals....Be sure to click on the video that also has words.
My son Eric Crawford fought in Iraq. He came home a changed man. His PTSD was so bad. He passed away Aug. 19 2021 and I lost my hero that day and I'm not the same. My heart breaks knowing Vets are on the street after their sacrifices we took for granted!!!! WE AS A NATION SHOULD DO BETTER BY THEM!!! Any vet seeing this Thank You for Your Service!! Much Love
I’m so sorry for the loss of Eric. Thank you for raising a man who offered everything and for your families sacrifices. My father served for 32 years so most of my friends were military. It’s hard to see them return different. Praying you receive some comfort, some pain alleviation, some peace. God bless you.
I completely concur Margaret! Two words that should not ever be used in the same sentence would be HOMELESS VET. PERIOD! In my humble opinion, they should be taken care of for the rest of their lives for their service for their country. Any uniformed military person 🪖 I encounter I always thank them for their service although in all reality, that debt is impossible to be repaid.
Reading his lips as he says “You saved my life brother.” breaks me every time
Big Fact
Follow up appears to be "My turn now." Yup, always seems to be a huge dust storm when I watch this video, especially today. Thank a veteran today.
Always makes me tingle. Then I go cut onions to hide the feels.
My read was "You saved my life back there," followed by, "I'm sorry." Either way, my heart bleeds each time I watch this.

It's Veterans Day, 2019. Salute.

Remember the USS Liberty.
It's more depressing that's it's veterans day now
Suomalaane i’m not trying to sound mean to you I want to tell you a thing the US treats alot of veterans like a animal if the animal can’t be handeld then kill it don’t help it just ignore it I wish the US can get it’s brain cells together and treat their vets like gods and all countries should do that too so you respecting US to 100% maby you shouldn’t I mean it’s up to you but I wish vets are treated like gods because they are trying to eliminate the absolute mentally retarded people such as IS and many more criminal army organizasions that thinks killing and such is good so vets deserve so much more
I'm a vet. I lost my brother in Afghanistan.

"the nation who forgets their veterans, will be the nation that is forgotten"
who forgets about their veterans most? americans, because they are not fighting for freedom. They fighting for politicians. Were they fucking ever invaded? fuck no. Everytime Americans are the fire starter...sry guys. I have nothing against you, you dont even know about it that you are being moved like chess pieces all over the world. Remember my words. You have nothing to do with it, you just the poor people that will be affected the most when rich men in your country will start everything. Mark my words for that. The war is coming ...maybe not to your country because you away but war is already on middle east, you taking part in it for resources , you do not fight for freedom there. BULLSHIT. War is in europe as well...not officially but is there. And war will come to you as well...once you wont be able to fight you will be forgotten because we are all only a pieces in rich people game. God Save the world !
RIP to all veterans that died a horrible death on the streets, you will never be forgotten. Pls help support the homeless veterans and the homeless in general❤❤❤
Most respect from Romania for all of them! God bless them!
Every day I walked to work wearing a suit and tie thinking how much my job sucked and how much I wish I had a better life, Then one day I sat down beside a homeless man who didnt have his hand out. Imagine how absurd I felt sitting there in a suit, then I listened to his story, and every day for two years I sat down beside my homeless friend Rowl. Rowl would not let me give him money. He wanted me to just listen. So I did. One day my friend wasn't there. I haven't seen him since. I miss my friend, and, more importantly I really appreciate his sacrifice for us. Thank you Rowl. I miss you brother... You have tough me that a simple act of kindness is the least we can do and often what we owe the people we ignore... We can be better....
You and your friend give me hope in humanity.
+Jim Akeson I cried watching this video.... ten minutes later, i calmed down.... then i cried AGAIN reading this comment.... i hope Rowl is in a better place yeah? (im not american btw)
+Jim Akeson Thats all veterans want is someone to just try to understand what they saw and had to do. I have befriended many vets and some dont want to talk about their experiences andd some do. The most important thing is just being there as a friend. God bless you for your simple act of kindness, we need more like you.

Hello ❤
I can almost guarantee that this song alone has done more to help raise awareness and money for veterans and homeless vets than our government has in 50+ years
I'd agree that it may have raised awareness, but the money to help has been sadly lacking. I am one of the many veterans that have experienced homelessness, and I'm soon to be in that same damn boat again. Our government has been so interested in enriching themselves that the ones who have kept their freedoms alive are merely an afterthought. It is sickening, and a sad commentary of this country.
I agree with that and like I've said before. There is absolutely no reason for any of our veterans to be homeless. Cold hungry, whatever this country should take care of our veterans, till the day they pass for free. We need to take care of our own first and stop worrying about the rest of the world. Take care of our own first cause. I aint nobody out there taking care of iris. That's something we should do. I'm an army veteran and then I'm blessed because I have a home. I have good insurand that is such a blessing. And it's a miracle in my life. I can't stand the fact that. I've entrance around the street. Some of them in the cold. Someone emptied it arms andelete some of them's brain. Are not right. There's a lot of things and they should NOT EVER BE WITHOUT. People don't realize this country without our soldiers and veterans. It's like heaven with no angels.
A lot of good men and women stand up for our way of life and everybody. We have now and our military branches are all volunteers. There's not been a draft since Vietnam. And I must say Vietnam veterans are not treated fairly. They're not treated right and that's a shame .
I thank you for your service and I just gotta say it's a d*** shame there's no reason ever for vete trains are elderly and are children to be hungry cold homeless wild people from other countries and nations come here. We take care of them. But what better own I'm a veteran as well. But I'm blessed that I do have a home. I have good insurance where I can do medical. And that is such a blessing in my life. I could not imagine not having some more light in my head. Not having a blanket to cover up me. In my little Fur baby, it's a d*** shine. Veterans should be taken care of 100% free for the rest of their life. Shouldn't have to worry about d*** thing. But as you said, our governments to worry about other s*** to worry about the ones who stood up. I still stand to protect our way of life. Thank you for your servi. Don't know where you're from but if I could help you I will

PTSD, it scars all of us. What ever horrible thing that happen to us that caused us to get PSTD, it kills us all the same. It eats us inside, sickening us, angering us, the more we feed it with what caused it stringer it gets, the stringer it gets the more we focus in it and feed it more.
It will eat us until we are but a husk.
You are never the same when you come back. I had a horrible time adapting to civilian life when I got back. People who’ve never been to war can’t understand how you don’t just shut it off like it never happened.
Coming home has been the scariest thing for me, I gave 6 years of my life and was thrown away like a gum wrapper. Atleast while on duty we had a purpose

In the British army we are a long way from being brainwashed. We have to think for ourselves at the lowest rank and are expected to understand the law of armed conflict along with a lot of other things that are integrated into core values
In the Balkans we stood between civilians and people carrying out the most awful atrocities during a civil war. What were we supposed to do just leave them to it?The things carried out were horrible, and we didn't stop everything, but we made a difference.Even in iraq the human rights violations by the regime were horrendous.I don't trust politicians anymore than you do but the only thing needed for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing
@@NoNo-ng3nx it may sound like that. But why do governments send soldiers to mali for example? Because local war and local terrorists destroy local civilians lifes and terrorists spread all the time. We send soldiers because other governments ask for our help and also if we wouldn't send troops out they would spread around the world more and more and it wouldn't be safe for you to be in home no matter where u live. My grandfather served in the Army during WWII and my dad served in the air force during Vietnam. The both lived tough lives when they came back. My dad came back to an America that spit on him, cursed him and shunned him. Most of the Vietnam war vets were treated this way. He lived his life in shame and guilt. He never could find a great job, became an alcoholic and when my mom and him separated, he was homeless in another state for about a year. He passed away 3 years ago but it breaks my heart to know that he went straight out of highschool to do what everyone back then told him was the "honorable" thing to only be met with hatred and disrespect when he returned. I suck at lip-reading, but to me, it looks like they say:
"Hey..."
"Stop!"
"You know me. You save my life over there. It's ok."
On my way to work and at a red light.. I pulled this song up. Now in a parking lot crying. Being an Army veteran it hits different. My dad always said grown men don’t cry. Well… That’s bull shit.
Thank You To All Who Seved
I don't know who said it or what the EXACT quote was , but i remember hearing something just figured i'd share it.
*"Real soldiers don't fight because they hate what is in front of them, they fight because they love what is behind them"*
I want to be a soldier but I have autism so I can't but I support them and appreciate them
im on the spectrum too , but i dont like violence sooooo...
also because you said that for a split second i thought your name was "Clutch gods AUTISM trentham" not Austin ha
The way we handle veterans who need our help in this country is pathetic. I believe any veteran who has seen combat, should get there healthcare paid for, or at least a very very good plan, and a large amount of housing paid for as well.
But at the same time, it's horrible that young people don't know exactly what they are signing up for.
He/she gots it exactly right.
They fight for US interest, real veterans are iraquies, vietnamese, koreans, pakistani, syrians, cubans, libanon, lybia, ucraine people, serbs and croats and many others...becouse they FIGHT and RESIST for their MOTHERLAND and FATHERLAND againts imperialism, againts terrorism, againts colonialism, againts opression....today there is no patriotic veteran, just poor people used by imperialist Goverment.
I started crying when the little girl tried to give him the flowers. It's just so depressing.
EmzieOMG ! Lmao
God bless brother/sister
Sadly it does happen
Nothing more depressing and disrespectful than a veteran's wife who won't even let her daughter say goodbye to her own father.

I love when he says "u know me"
"You saved my life brother", and then "you're going to be OK". Roll back in the video... both men say the same words to each other at different times. Also, operater grabs Jacoby by the lbv and moves him. Jacoby grabs operator in the same way and rescues him!
Your brother is a hero. Always in my ❤

Always get chills watching this. Thankyou for your service....
I'm a soldier always and forever.
God save my brothers.
"Arms wide open, I stand alone.
I'm no hero, and I'm not made of stone.
Right or wrong, I can hardly tell.

I want to thank you for your service. This song is beautiful and I wish more knew about this song and how our soldiers are treated.
You're welcome.
Thank you for your service. If i met u in real life i would shake your hand

Lost a friend two days ago to suicide. A Navy vet with severe PTSD and depression. May Joe RIP! This song spoke deeply to my heart and what Joe went through. M own father was a Korean War vet who had nightmares the entire time I was growing up. War is hell and we owe our veterans so much more.
I'm so very sorry for your loss 😢
I feel your pain cuz I've lost friends the same way. My father was a a vet and his ptsd from Vietnam turned him into an abusive sadistic human being. He finally got a handle on it a few years before his death
I am so sorry for your loss! 🙏🙏🙏

My father Lost his battle with PTSD from his stint in the Air Force may 18 last year, his birthday is three days away and I've missed him so much since then, if you cross paths with a veteran of any branch thank them for their service, sit and talk with them for a little while and just listen to what they talk about, anything helps them, doesn't have to require donations but it helps just sitting with them and talking with them
One of the most heartrending pieces. Respect.
Five Finger Death Punch supports the military and makes soldier themed songs and albums. Big props to them.
All the people in 5fdp have served
Don't pretend you do.
You can't even spell, Kaan. Better to have people in your country fear us than what we currently have, no respect at all, thanks Obama.
Dylan Willey, where did you read that, the internet? according to their bio's, none of them served.
stfu Kaan. You're just a little weak internet warrior. Provide facts instead of an irrelevant rant. U.S instills fear huh? lol. Brainwashed jackass.
Five Finger Death Punch puts a message out there that's actually good. This video has raised awareness for veterans, and these are one of the few artists I know who have sung for a good cause. This video brought me to tears. Great job guys❤️

Today, in Eastern Europe, is Easter Celebration. All the best from Romania! For all of them! God bless them all!
Our government should be ashamed of itself. Sports athletes get more recognized than our veterans. My grandfather, stepfather, and multiple family, friends served and rearly mentioned the living hell that they went through. Amen for everyone everywhere who sacrificed everything for our freedom.
I was a homeless vet for 3 years until I was rescued by an old flame. We broke up after living together for 7 years, but we're still living together and we're still best friends. I'll never abandon her. I'll never not take care of her. She's recently developed a severe disability and can't navigate down stairs or even take a shower without someone there to help her and I'll forever be that person as long as she wants. I'll never forget that she was there for me when I was at my lowest. I have a wonderful career and 2 college degrees because of her. All I needed was a helping hand and she gave me that and more.
Amen brother (:
damn my dad was 17 when he got into military he's going to finish his job in about 2 or 3 more years he is 36 now 20 years in military had a divorce but still comes home happy each and every day just to make me feel better I really love and appreciate him
After two years of posting this comment I got it all wrong. My mom is the one suffering and my dad is the piece of shit he doesn't treat us right and we have over 7 dogs. He buys shit food all the time when he can afford to feed us better and a lot of other very horrible things my dad really sucks. But I still have major respect for other veterans because they risked their life to protect.
I have to take back what I said again. I feel he cares about us he is just struggling, I talked to him today and it made me feel better.
As bad as I think we have it over here at least we got a house and food. I'm unsure of his character but he does want me succeed in life.
God saved your ASS ! Keep humble and appreciate what you got...Good on you son !
I have lived with a visually impaired person most of my life and i am proud for what i have given...She gave me a healthy , happy son who i adore and respect, for him being the great person he has become. Life is precious and enjoy your moments !

Volunteer army vet here. I was infantry. One of the hardest things I've done in life, yet my fondest memories. Lost a few buddies and part of myself. I often think about if they're still there fighting hard. Is part of me dead or fighting beside them still? The love I have for my brothers, and this beautiful country far surpasses the love I have for myself and my life. I'm waiting and itching. I hope they call me back in. Civilian life is not what it used to be and no one understands when I say I was built for battle not a 9 to 5. Now I'm lost. I'm a protector not a carpenter.
the new urban combat units dont get enough recognition
As a Navy vet, I took this video with great joy, and sorrow. Joy that groups such as FFDP would put it out like that. And sorrow that idiotic networks like MTV and the news group by NOT showing this to the masses and youth and showing them the plight of what is going on with the Vets of today that need help!
51 million have heard this message :)

I can’t express my gratitude for the individuals who this song connects to, service member or otherwise. If you’re a wounded angel who has suffered through a few rounds in this world, know that your dedication to the light hasn’t gone unnoticed.
To the veterans, no words are capable of capturing your strength and struggle. The world and its deception can teach us that asking for help isn’t a successful strategy. Do everything you can to hold on to the truth of the matter, while you are at your most stubborn point the best thing to do is ask anyone. I’ve found that there is always an angle nearby who will gladly lend an ear.
My husband is a veteran as well, he suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury while in Iraq and has memory issues plus PTSD that is why it’s so sad to here that other veterans are homeless, our country are failing them because they all deserve to be first because they have protected our country with their own lives, I cried and I wish I could help all of them, because they deserve it first in this country!! But no this country don’t help all the veterans they help others before their own, it is very heartbreaking!!
“In life sons bury their fathers. In war, fathers bury their sons.”
Ain't that the truth
The truth hurts like a bitch.
True, sadly enough. Reminds me of a verse from a Tim McGraw song called Beautiful People...."A wrinkled Old man wearing medals that he earned on Omaha Beach, saying good-bye to a grandson that was killed outside Tikrit."
Death always finds a way into a broken heart you have to be strong no matter how lost you feel without your father's or mothers or sons or daughters
Its in peace not in life you noob.
"You know me!"
"You saved my life, brother!"
"Man, it's okay"
Damn that’s good lip sincing
Thanks. I had just stopped crying. In all seriousness, thank you. I feel like people need to know what was said in that moment. It just helps us understand better
@@kgapaneseschoolgirlb yea I know right

I personally thought he said 'It's Jacoby' as that was his name (time stamp around 2:42). But who knows. Powerful video though.
Dedication and commitment should never be forgotten. Watching this is like a story of my life as I served and I am always in fear of being homeless again.
There’s nothing to say… It’s a masterpiece.
This made me cry. I recently lost my father, a Vietnam Veteran. He was a good man who quietly struggled with PTSD all his life. Uncles, cousins, nephews - all veterans. All struggling. Most making it, some not. Pray for them all. God bless them.

Agree wars have been waged for thousands of years and wont change all parties involved always lose more than they should.
There are no winners, just the losses an survivors. Yet for the Brotherhood so many would sacrifice again.
Completely agree. Between songs like this that point out the hypocrisy and the stats for vets all over the world. I just. . . I just can't even vote or believe there's some 'just cause' behind wars.
Thanks brother from the USA
Feel that. On matter where the war is fought, it is still bad. It's always the pawns but not the bishop. Sadly, its humans they are sending out to fight their wars. 😭

I pray every day for them and those who have returned. Please ask for help if you need it. Please watch out for your brothers and sisters. Please call someone on this list and get help if you need it. Thank you all who have worn a uniform and stood a post. I salute you all. 🇺🇸🫡❤️
