Sam Rivers and John Otto never get enough credit. They're always on point!
Take 'em to the Matthews bridge !
@@swim_ad just what i was gonna say
"Sam Rivers is on a bass lines tonight"
showing the whole rest of the band for 30 seconds of the song
Thanks man!
Well sam is ok as a bass player and John Otto we’ll he is over done
I’m here because when I see a CZcams thumbnail of Wes Borland looking like Salvador Dalí on acid, I click...
Nahhhhhh
Dude, Dalí was on acid all the time. Even when he was not.
Hahaha same 😂😂
holy shit...that is dali
same! and also to see that drummer that ate John Otto
“I’ll never do this song justice” dude is honestly humble as fuck and IMO he did a great version of killing in the name, put his own twist on it and it sounded good
bet you like the sound of a giant wood chipper too huh?

I saw this last night in Wilkes-Barre and it was absolutely insane. Not the biggest Limp Bizkit fan on the face of the earth, but once Fred walks on stage, he has everyone in the crowd in the palm of his hand.
appreciated it that he said that its not a bad rendition better than most even
"I'll never do this song justice." I love that. Straight up saying "I'm not gonna make a better version, I'm just doing this bc I love the song."
Lullabies match to him, it is strange for him to like "killing in the name of".
Then proceeds to go and make a better version of it.
That's what I was thinking.
@@Milehighsnake98 I mean, kudos for them honoring Rage, but you're insane if you think this is better.
@@andygilmore8511 I'm ok with being called insane. I think this was better. That's all. I also don't think too highly of RATM anyways other than they have a couple catchy songs.
One can probably say a lot about Fred Durst, but from what i've seen he always performs consistently on stage and entertains the crowd well.
I've heard he was a bit of a tool but don't follow it enough to judge.
What You said goes a long way: when I go through the time & expenses to catch a concert I DON'T want to deal with some Axl Rose horseshiat.
I only saw Limp Bizkit one time and I think it was the very first year they did the "Family Values Tour" with Korn, Crystal Method, Staind, and Filter. I'm not afraid to admit that I really liked them back then but I probably hadn't even thought about one of their songs in over 15 years until this video popped up on my YT feed for some reason. It brought back a lot of good memories. Also, I 100% agree Fred knew how to own the crowd. Their show was really fun.
He was the best by far I’ve ever seen... he was miles far better than Eminem 50cent, rise against to say a few
Yeah, 99-woodstock is He's proudest moment...
Actually you saw them on the second family values tour..the first family values had korn, limp, ice cube, rammstein, orgy, and incubus..I got to see it Halloween night in 97-98
Fred Durst “I’ll never do this song justice”. Fred Durst you sure as hell did do it justice. That was epic
No kidding
Fred durst is a very underrated front man. He has an awesome stage presence!
the ones that know! Know !
Así es el tipo sabe cómo tener al público en la palma de su mano 🤘
But Dust had a big impact in the 2000s.
I’m waiting for the inevitable tour with Nickelback (now that we can finally admit they don’t suck).
Call it “The Critics Choice Tour”.
Wes Borland is legit one of the best guitarists alive.
He can hardly be called a guitarist. Legit.
Nah, dude. Wes is unique, that’s been good enough for him, I think.
Nope.
I disagree. He’s very good, but nothing compares to slash.
@@middle-agedclimber Yeah, that's an absolutely incorrect take. Wes Borland is an insanely talented and versatile guitarist. Remove him from Limp Bizkit and delve into what he's done outside of them. Danny Elfman (an absolute musical genius) did a small run of shows with songs spanning his film and Oingo Boingo careers, and who was his lead? Wes fucking Borland. If he's good enough to be hand picked by someone like Elfman, he's doing something right.
Wes Borland is a genius.
Most underrated guitar player.
He's a musical genius and durst is a comedic one. Dude's lyrics might not be there but he's fuckin hilarious. Idk maybe I'm just biased bc he reminds me of my cousin lol
That killing in the name solo was really bad, bro... I think all of the notes were out of tune. Check at 9:00
@@GustavoAraujo-zi7fk that's on the tech. Not his fault.
@@GustavoAraujo-zi7fk yeah, the guitar is out of tune by that point. Most likely as the guy above said, the guitar hasn’t been set up or tuned properly...plus Wes Borland has been thrashing the crap out of it throughout the song, he can tend to play very aggressively at times, which has knocked it way out of tune by that point. So what?
you forget how good the drummer was/is, unbelievable groove
is
john otto!
How dare u mentioned WAS. And ofcourse he is the best groover
JOHN KEEPIN' THAT BEAT PHAT
He looks like he's going to snash through the drum set. Lol
Fred has a unique voice, flair and style just like Wes and it's still epic. Love him singing Rage. Sounds so great.
Thank you for being a fan ❤

Wes being back makes me feel like a kid again. My favorite band of all time.
❤
Being from Jacksonville, it was a great time when they came out. Loved their music, still do. I'm 45 and watching LB videos at 11:30pm on a Sat night. Fuck my life.
What do people in Jacksonville think of them? I mean, they were simply the biggest rock band in the world in year 2000
@@jaupolio honestly man... it was such a great time. They were loved by the 15-35 year old range really. I was 25 in 2000😬 and it was awesome. You could always hear it on someone stereo at red lights. The mentions of the Jags, Milk Bar, Terry Parker high school, Matthews Bridge..... It was great hearing our small big town in these songs. It was great sense of musical pride. We have Skynyrd and Limp Bizkit. The two couldn't be more far from each other, but if you're a fan of one, more then likely a fan of the other too. They're both Gods of NE Florida.
@@RiverRat904 As a Duval native, I could not say it any better than that (though being a Fletcher high grad, I could of done without the TP mention 😜).

I have to admit Bizkit actually covered Killing In The Name Of pretty respectfully 👏🏻
I'm with you!!! I miss Zack...just a little...
THe drummer is fkn excellent, always loved the sound of his drums and his style.
He and Sam the bass player are cousins and always had a tight groove since they were teens. Very underrated/overlooked in my opinion!
Hes a great drummer but he butchered that mate!
@@tedshepherd6206 How so? He did fine.
Fat drummers look funny as fuck when they're playing .

Wes Boreland is the silent genius of the whole band
wish they would remain silent 😂😂😂
Silent ???
Duhh! Right! He's a beast
Wes Boreland is the metalhead in the band
Let's agree that the solo was shit though...
A humble Fred Dust loving the feel of the music is a good thing no matter if you like him or not lol. Much needed at a time like this
When he came to play my town a couple of years back, Fred's cool uncle vibe was so strong. Some people brought their kids to the concert, and he had them crowd surf to the stage just for a quick photo op. They're so humble these days, clearly just enjoying their relationship with their audience.
Ozzy forgave him, y can't we
@@tonyaskren2547 truth lol
Fred dust?
lol this statement is very true. Please watch his woodstock 99 video to see how cocky this fucker is at that time. He was on top of the world withBritney Spears, Christina Aguliera, and Nsync

Most underrated band of all time. These guys were/are true entertainers!
That little “Pollution” segment Wes
did in the beginning gave me absolute chills
That's Counterfeit, not Pollution, if you mean what I think you mean.
Limp bizkit is a guilty pleasure of mine like a high-schooler that roller blades when noone is around
Orgasmatron me too
i still listen to the first album sometimes. i hate that i do but there's a few real good songs on there. i can't take pretty much anything after that though.
LOLOL! Same here.
@@mreichard838 The first album is actually really good lol. Brings me back to 6th grade and jincos. Significant other is also a good one, but the third one is purely nostalgia for me....anything after their third album is unknown to me. Gold Cobra was just a tryhard.
@@Hijynx87 I agree 100. As soon as Nookie came out they lost me. That album has a few ok songs but when the best song on the album is a hip-hopish song, I knew it was all downhill from there. And don't get me wrong, I'm a huge hip-hop/rap fan as well but that's not what I want from Limp Bizkit lol
I am an adult. I am not supposed to be moshing in my living room when Bizkit covers Rage, but I'm losing my inner-15-year-old mind.
Fred Durst even looking in the same direction as rage is insulting.
me and my children were fan of limp bizket at the same time when the first albums came out. they have outgrown it. i am still a fan.
Don't have shame in that
@@r.b.rozier9692 you mean the wannabe-communists that collect checks in USD? So much edge.
Roots Bloody Roots is a good one for that. So is Deftones 7 Words. Metal keeps you young
John Otto, Sam Rivers and Wes Borland are as solid of a grouping for a rock band as you could ever find. Their chemistry is total fire. You add a good turntable man like DJ Lethal and a front man with heaps of likeable and unlikeable personality like Fred and you have a force to be reckoned with. How have I never come across this masterpiece?! WTF
2:09 Re-arranged, 5:27 killing in the name of
0:01 Counterfeit
Fred Durst gets attacked alot for various things....but he is a good singer. You may not like the music. But for a 50 year old guy, he has really good voice control. His tone and pitch are excellent
He's a better singer than he gets credit for, especially since half the young male recording artists of today can barely carry a tune
I saw them then and a few times since, and they never disappointed me. Always a fun show
Listen to his first 3 discs. Some good songs, but his rapping was dissapointing. When he makes his hi-pitch voice for stuff it just doesn't fit with the genre. Even Coal Chamber has better vocal control, don't justify Fred lmao
I mean, listen to 6:42
Fred is a poser, and his "singing" sucks more than his wigger wannabe apparel.
Never did I think I’d see Limp Bizkit do a Rage cover. And now here we are!! Hell yeah!!!
I won't do this song justice... Proceeds to do the song justice!
John Otto is an amazing drummer!!!!
Massively ignored probably because of the band he is in. Abe Cunningham never gets enough praise too.
When he said he sees the red caps at 1:42 he was pointing at me cause I was pointing at him with my red cap. Just a small thing like this puts your festival experience in a whole new level. Everyone around me started shaking me and laughing with me. It was so surreal to have a moment with Fred after listening to them for 15 years. They are my all time favorite band #bringthebeatback!!

I went to a concert in 03 at Ohio stadium. Mudvayne, deftones, Linkin park, limp and Metallica. Everyone was booing Limp until they started playing. Half way through the set everyone in the stadium liked them some Bizkit. Great show.
Fuck yea summer sanitarium. I still got my tour shirt. Limp stole the show right before the sd un started setting. I was 16. What a great show
Bro...my first concert ever in Irving, TX Texas Stadium... Limp Bizkit kicked ass.
Wow what a show that must have been.
Best concert I've ever seen, at the shoe.
My buddies an I just finished HS. We got in the gates when it opened, ran to the front row and stayed there from 11am till 11PM when the show was over. It was probably 95 that day. People were passing out from the heat and they were spraying us with water to cool us down. It was an awesome day!

My view of Limp Bizkit changed today, for the better.

Wes is mega talented and they are stellar performers. Even having seen The Fanatic, massive tons of respect to Fred Durst.
Limp Bizkit got a lot of hate back in the day. Fred Durst had a tendency to act a little douchy back in the day, but as you can see he is still humble and the band kicks ass. Can't wait to see them.

I was there. It was an awesome experience like so many other great gigs I've seen on Obudai Sziget. I wouldn't like to say which was number one because so many of the gigs I've seen there were the best in their own way. When the weather the ambience and the group you're watching are all at their best you end up with an unforgettable experience like I had on this occasion. What I can say is that when I'm about to die and my life flashes before my eyes this part will not be omitted.
Everyone in this band is incredibly talented at what they do.
Limp Bizkit hit it out of the park covering “Killin in the name of”. Great version !!!
kinda ironic since Rage said they apologize or really hate Limp Bizkit

Wes Borland is such a brilliant dude! He wears a ton of makeup and clothes and he is probably boiling inside. The neck adapter on his guitar is literally just torn away from the guitar and the instrument generally looks like its been through World War 3. Yet he plays without and effort and creates such great melodies. I mean, Limp Bizkit is Wes Borland. They would be nowhere if he wasnt with them.
