What short JRPG would you recommend?
Blue Reflection. Reaching to max level and beating the game took me 13 hours. It is a great game with great protagonist, and it was so adorable.

Awesome list dude! I'd add Scarlet Nexus here. On How Long to Beat it says it takes 25 hours but you could easily finish it in 20. Incredible game I will always recommend!

Ahh impeccable timing. I was currently just wracking my brain on a quick jrpg to play in between these massive behemoths I have lined up. You've pretty much sold me on Cosmic Star Heroine and Crisis Core. I would definitely recommended Dusk Diver off this list for sure, that one was a surprisingly good little game.

Final Fantasy I is one of those games that can be finished in about 20 hours give or take. The first two Megaman Battle Network also clock around 20 hours, I remember the first one just doing the basics I beat in around 14 hours and the second... 19-ish hours? The other games can get longer (and it isn't all of them that I can recommend).
Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition (PS4, PC, Switch) is also under 20 hours and it is a charming demake. For more JRPG style that are action, like the YS , maybe Silver (17 hours) and the Anodyne games (both around 10 hours)

Cosmic Star Heroine is a ton of fun. I would definitely recommend it. I'm looking at going through it again. I beat the handheld version (Also got the Vita version from Limited Run. So we're Twinsies on that) and looking through going through the PS4 version.
If you're looking to do a Follow Up, Ikenfell is a ton of fun and super charming. That's close to 20 hours (It took me about 22 but I like to level grind and got to the max level. A normal person would definitely finish this one under 20). It also has a bit of comedy, which is nice.
Though if you're looking for comedy, Cthulhu Saves The World and Saves Christmas is fun and hilarious. You can beat both those games in under 20 hours combined (I got through Christmas in under 10).
Hey twinsey! Now Cthulu saves Xmas and the world are on my list to get. Im hopefully going down the route of a steam deck (I don't have a pc) so hopefully will finally get round to them 😁

Final Fantasy 1 and 4 are both easily finished in 20 hours.

I am Setsuna is a great title :) if you want it physical you can import it from Japan and when you pop the cart in the switch it plays English automatically!

Currently playing Crisis Core. I'm in chapter 3, with 7 hours. And yes, it is indeed very short game. Most of my was spent on grinding and side quests. Chapter 2 main mission takes like 15 minutes which is crazy short. But with doing side quests I believe I can push the game for 40 hours.

@@chickenfillets I do. It is pretty much Kingdom Hearts in the gameplay. It is not THAT good, but still 8/10.
I have absolutely no idea how long it me to play games. With two kids, wife, job, and house, I set my controller down to do.... Something.... Constantly. So my play times are heavily skewed

Several of these games are in my backlog and I had no idea they were so short! I really like playing a shorter game between longer ones.
Oh definitely! With the amount of stuff I have going on in life Im now checking alot how long it takes to complete stuff! So hopefully this list helps!

Some great choices there! I didn’t realise Crisis Core was that short. I’m hopefully getting into Ys this year but it will be starting with the first game 😉

Actually true. The new game plus for Talea of Xillia took me 8 hours to beat in one sitting.
