    Just got a Quantum 100 based on this review, very satisfied after a couple of sessions. I started wing foiling with my wind foil wing (Infinity 76). This is so much better: easy to pump, lots of lift, good glide, more stable during transitions but does not feel slow.

    I started on the Slingshot Hover Glide FSurf V3 (Infinity 76 front wing) behind the boat last year and am now completely hooked on this amazing sport. I am looking for another higher aspect front wing that would fit my current Slingshot setup & be well suited for pumping, wing foiling & downwinders on lakes. I'm 6'3 @ 210 lbs, would you recommend the Quantum 100 over the PTM 926 or 1001? How would you best describe the differences in Speed/Glide/Pump for these wings?
    Also, just wanted to say thanks for all the great review videos, Keep it up!

      Hey Axiselk, Yes, I'd suggest the Q100 for your weight. Loving the 926 and 1001 but they are too small for your weight in anything but powered winging conditions. They are too small for wake and pumping for most people over 170lbs. They'd also require a totally different foil since the Phantasm system is not compatible with Hoverglide. -Tucker

      I'm 210 lbs and just got one of this Fsurf v3, are you saying you can't pump with it at all? can you get going SUP paddle? only good for towing?

    I'd like to dock start. How easy would the Quantum 100 be compared to the other foils you offer like Axis PNG 1150. Wonder if you could do a video of a few beginners trying to dock start with the Quantum 100? Thanks

      Great suggestion Lacki, We'll see if we can put something together.
      Compared to the PNG1150, it's a bit lower aspect but similar size. I'd say for an inexperienced foiler, the Quantum is more user friendly but the 1150 will be more efficient for an experienced pumper.

      Thanks. Hopefully you have a beginner dockstart to try it.

    Would this foil work well with the slingshot dwarf craft as a pumping setup?

    I'm also on a i84 FSup package. the fuselage is shorter then other packages . would the shorter fuselage work with the Q100 front wing?
    also I'm a 60kg beginner, this would be my light wind setup. would it be to big?
    and thanks for the awesome gear reviews

      Hey Markella, the FSUP comes with the surf/sup switch fuse and works great with any of their wings. However, The Q100 is designed for use with the 42 stabilizer and you have the 48. Ideally, you'd buy a 42 stab to use with the Q100 but you can use it with the 48 if you don't mind some extra stability and added drag. -Tucker

    Which of the two - the FWing (Infinity 99) or the FPump (Quantum 100) would be easiest for me to learn wing foiling on? I'm 6'1 and 210 lbs. I'm after the fastest route to progression and don't mind switching the foil for another as I get better.

      @MACkiteboarding  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Peter, If you are new to foiling, I'd go for the 99, if you have foiling experience from wake, surf, kite, wind, ect... then I'd suggest the Q100. -TUCKER

    I’m currently on an Infinity 84 looking for a wing for lighter winds; do you think the Quantum 100 will be a good improvement to the i84? Could I continue to use the 48 rear wing with the q100?
    And what was the lowest wind speed you went out with the q100?

    • @MACkiteboarding
      @MACkiteboarding  Před 2 lety +6

      Great question Caprice! Yes, the Q100 is far better for wingfoiling IMHO. Primarily that is due to the increased efficiency, upwind, glide, and top speed range. Compared to the I84, you'll have similar low speed lift and stability. Yes, the Q100 will work with the 48 stab but you'll lose some top speed, glide, and turning performance.
      I was out in 12-13kn with a 6m and it worked excellent.

    Whats the best mast position A or B for wing foiling with the Quantum 100?
    Thanks 😎

      @@MACkiteboarding Thanks guys - I've only ridden it a few times now, and I was finding that lift was too far forward in B position (even with foil all the way back in the board), so looking forward to trying it out in A.

    Is the quantum is quicker to lift onto the foil than the i99 because of the higher aspect ie least drag

    Do you think Slingshot will add the Quantum to their Phantasm Series?

    • @MACkiteboarding
      @MACkiteboarding  Před 2 lety

      Great question. I hope they do as they are an excellent design and could benefit from the new system's lighter weight and streamlined design. The 926 is about the closest we have on the list so far, it's for sure a step up in performance and it's smaller so it's better suited for more experienced riders.

      Yes, I've been riding it for about a month. Really nice board, big improvement over 2021. Look for a review in a few weeks.
