    Definitely the hardest part of the work is this. Especially when doing keepsakes when mothers want their baby clothes to be embroidered in the appliqué.
    The better one if you’re going to use iron is using a cricut to cut it to the exact. That helps too. Unfortunately, using a cricut to cut fabric is still difficult.

    Thanks for the content and new new to embroidery and digitizing . Thanks for sharing all the valuable experience you have . With these old eyes and being unfamiliar with the verbiage it would help me follow along if you would enlarge and highlight the cursor/ arrow so I’m not always playing catch-up . Much success in all you do ….

    Hello, how close do you sew to the inner edge of your mighty hoops? e.g. 4.25 has a sewing field of 4" edge to edge of material that shows. is 3/8" cutting it a bit fine.. I was told it should be ok, but when I do my tracing, I am scared that the needle shaft on my ZSK will hit the side. In wilcom, my design is 8.2cm wide and the stitch field is 11cm. It looks good in the software, but as, said, I am scared to risk it. I have tried t look for guidence on the internet but could not find anything. Do you have guidelines or a link to htis info. Many thanks.

    Can you use fusible poly mesh instead of cut away for the back?

    • @RomeroThreads
      @RomeroThreads  Před 8 měsíci

      Yes, but since the thread count can be high, you do have a chance of puckering. Im not too concern with cutaway on sweaters since over time the cutaway will slowly get soft and blend in with the sweater.

    I've been thinking about using a co2 laser to cut the appliqué instead of scissors but hardly see anyone do it. Why is that? I would remove the mightyhoop, and place it directly into the work area of the machine and kiss-cut it out with a camera positioning. Thoughts on this?

    • @mallorycote5377
      @mallorycote5377 Před 9 měsíci +2

      I use a laser to cut my appliques. I love how clean and simple it is. I just run an outline stitch and then place the applique with a temporary spray adhesive and then run a tack down stitch and if needed a border satin stitch. Works great. Even on patches.

      @Ruben_Vargas depends on the fabric. For tackle twill with adhesive backing, I used speed 190 Power 50. I have an 80 watt Boss laser.

    Ever I have a question. I am going to be embroidering a Logo on the back of a zippered hooded sweatshirt. What is the proper location? Especially when the hood in the back hangs down? I’d really appreciate your professional advice. Thank you.🥰

    • @RomeroThreads
      @RomeroThreads  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I would place it perfectly lined up below the hood. That way it doesn’t get covered up when the hood is down. But make sure it’s not too low.

      Hello, anytime Ive had hoop burn, it goes way, it doesn’t stay permanent. Maybe you can use a damp towel and slightly rub it if it doesn’t go away.
