I believe both FHS and ER have the championship pedigree, pride and tradition to compete with good local CIF Southern Section teams like St. Francis, Loyola, Notre Dame, Cathedral, Salesian, Burroughs, Village Christian, Arroyo, PHS or Muir to represent in some legit cross sectional battles.
@krowndog2527 How so? Franklin beat 2 city champions in 2022 that went to CIF regional and state. Muir lost to LA Banning but yet won CIF and regional. Cathedral, Notre Dame, CV, PHS are not the same teams. PHS lost to a weak Arcadia, SF chokes in big games, Burroughs and Burbank are mediocre. Arroyo is a legit team that is predominantly latino like ER and Franklin. Arroyo would give Franklin and ER a real test.
@spooksduzit Agreed, and why does Garfield beat both? Partially because Garfield has a lot of pride, and tradition and plays a tough preseason schedule against real opponents.
