It's usually a prop, but the original Texas Chainsaw used a real chainsaw

You need whats called a poulan 306a theres a few on ebay.

Poulan 245a. Gunnar was wrong and the one used in the remake was a Husqvarna 359. The 306a was used in the 2022 film and not the 1974 film.
