    Thanks for the video. It's the only one I've found so far that truly shows how to use the tool. Very well done.

    Thanks for the video. One suggestion though. Maybe after each step show a close up picture of what it should look like before moving on to next step. Great video

    I have a Bison wire forming tool. It is similar but this tool in the video is a much better design. The bison doesn't hold the tag end you have to hold it yourself. It doesn't do nice tight knots like this either. Avoid the bison. Just buy this Worth wire forming tool.

    Hi, This tool is made by the Worth Co and can only turn wire up to 0.024inch. I believe that other manufacturers may make tools that can accommodate larger diameter wire.

      David Hicks Hi you probably should send it back for replacement. I have had several of these and have never had any problems with the pin.

    great video and tidiest tails I have seen cut into the body. What do you use to cut them?

    • @CONRANCAT
      @CONRANCAT  Před 4 lety

      Hi
      Thanks for the comment. I use a belt punch to make a hole in the middle of the rubber where I want the tail to end. I then use a steel ruler to flatten the rubber with one end so you can see the hole right through the rubber and the other where the tail is to finish, I then use a Stanley knife to cut the rubber. ( the blades don’t last long ) If it needs cleaned up I use a pair of tungsten carbide scissors.
      Hope this helps

    • @CONRANCAT
      @CONRANCAT  Před rokem +1

      The rubber body is actually only made by a company in England called Spintec. It is the best body for a flying c made by anyone. They can be bought through there website and I believe eBay.

    Hey man where did you get your lead spinner body mold?

    • @CONRANCAT
      @CONRANCAT  Před rokem

      Hi
      I used a DO-IT trolling sinker mould. Model str-5-a
      Instead of adding swivels into the moulding process I used sections of bicycle spoke to create the hole down the centre, pulling the spoke out as soon as the lead was poured.
      Hope that makes sense!

      @@CONRANCAT hi mate I've bought the 0.031 stuff and it feels too thick for the tool so far out of 6 flying Cs I've made the wire broke when forming the loop at the end of 3 of them, I have a feeling the tool is too tight for this wire.

    • @ROSSLINDEN0
      @ROSSLINDEN0 Před 2 lety

      @CONRANCAT update on comment above, I rammed a flathead screwdriver in the gap a bit at a time till the wire slid in easily and I've just done 10 with no issues 🤞

      If you cover the weight with silicon oil you can slide the rubber/latex over the weight

    when you turn the wire at the end, it pulls the wire in to the slots and breaks it every time.
