What is Arm Bowling?

  • Arm Bowling involves bowlers using an approved mechanical Arm Device to deliver their bowls. It helps keeps bowlers in the sport for longer, with the Arm Device allowing bowlers who have mobility issues such as hip and knee problems, or arthritis which limits their ability to grip a bowl, to deliver a bowl without their ailment getting in the way.

    In Victoria, Australia, there are more than 6,000 registered Arm Bowlers and Arm Bowling has become an important and accepted part of the game in this state.
