It would have been great if Nigeriens themselves could take over the mining on this uranium and then sell it to the companies that are interested. That way they would have better control over their resources. But if that can’t be done then I hope make a very good deal with this new company so they don’t lose at the end.

Uranium mining is a complex business, you can not start from scratch, you need somebody who has some experience in the matter + mining/processing material in the beginning

No country comes to Africa out of the goodness of their heart. Everybody wants something - most often fossil fuel or minerals. The only difference among them is how they come. Do they come with arrogance and a list of demands (the West), or do they come with respect and some degree of fairness (the Russians and Chinese)? Either way, we have to keep them in check as long as they are in our country/continent.

Russia never colonised anyone. They believe in fair trade. And African countries need the support because we all know the west with their sanctions.
I find it hard to believe that Russia is just helping for nothing or even trade. They may not have a history of colonizing the continent but they do have a history of treating africans/blacks bad in Russia
