      Ha! Exactly. Although changing the fluid in these monsters is not fun. My ZD326 I think is a little over 2.5 gallons fluid. Maybe right around 12 quarts. The filter is great but you better make sure you have a big oil pan when you pull the plug. 😂. Or at least invest in oil dry, pig mats, and be ready to swear a lot :)

    Nice review, have had mine for a month now. Great little machine and would buy again. Only issue that I have had was that the top radiator hose fell off. Just removed the cover behind the front radiator and slid it back on and tightend it up. Filled the radiator and cleaned it off. There should be more leg room and for the driver and passenger and seats vertical sitting position and gets a little tiring.

    Is the throttle control knob to the left of driver's seat standard or did you order it as an option? If it was standard, does it lock into any position you want? I ask because the one which is listed as an option does do that. The owner manual indicates that whatever comes standard is only for use in starting it up in cold weather.

    • @whisperingsheepfarms7895
      @whisperingsheepfarms7895  Před 5 lety +1

      I want to say it’s an 8” long one. I’ll have to check. It certainly could be longer. In the 6 months I’ve had it I’ve pulled several trailers and a Vermeer BC600 chipper all over our property with it. It pulls ok with the shorter hitch, but because it’s tucked in a little it makes turning sharp or backing a shorter tongue trailer up a little difficult because the trailer can run into you faster. I’d like to get one with a bit longer stick-out.

      skoal22005 absolutely! On all my my Kubota equipment the AC works great and is cold right away. It will freeze you out even on 90+ degree days. Being a Diesel on my tractor I thought it would take forever to get warm, but even at below zero temps, in under 10 minutes I can be blowing snow in my shirt sleeves. Kubota has the HVAC figured out in these machines and in their tractor line.

    • @roguescapes8198
      @roguescapes8198 Před 4 lety

      Hey Clarence, We are purchasing a new 1100c and this came up with us as well. Apparently there is an adjustment that can be made at the dealership that can make this smoother ( so says the salesperson). Give them a holler and see what shakes loose. Good luck!

    • @sootrattlerolloff-road1415
      @sootrattlerolloff-road1415 Před 4 lety

      @@roguescapes8198 Brake pedal has a pressure-relief valve cable attached to it; essentially, depress the brake hard and the relief on the transmission bleeds-off the pressure, and you will be able to change the selector. I believe the early models actually had a knob you pulled on the dash. Anyway, if that pressure doesn't bleed off, the cable needs adjusted. The actual valve is on the rear-right of the trans (on the older 1100 as well as the 900...NOT the X1100c in this vid)...lubricate it regular and it will not fail you. If it wears-out, it's easy to replace. On ALL models, if the trans is getting hot, (likely won't be an issue on the newer x models...they have a fan-assisted trans-cooler) they will sometimes get sticky shifting, at which point you simply hold the brake, "Bump" the throttle/gas-pedal, while applying lite-pressure on the selector, and 99% of the time they will shit right in/out.

    • @sootrattlerolloff-road1415
      @sootrattlerolloff-road1415 Před 4 lety

      Sorry...that was actually meant for a person asking about rough gear selector changing. Kubota loves their cables; and although the x-series is much better about it, there still is a bunch of debris/funk/mud that ends-up above the skid-plates and into the cables for everything, from the 4x4 selector, to the diff-lock. The panel beside the driver's seat with the two thumb-screws needs to be removed and sprayed out from time to time, or everything gets sticky and starts hanging-up. Then you need to spray lithium on the obvious pivots for those cables to keep them moving freely. Awesome machines but you MUST become acclimated with adjusting your cables or the dealership will eat you alive. If you are only getting 20 MPH or less out of your 'bota, it's a simple matter of adjusting the timing of you HST and throttle cables...they MUST max-out at the exact same time or you will not get maximum ground speed. It's very easy to adjust those cables for peak performance, and seldom are they right from the dealership.

Turning sideways is not comfortable if you are hauling a friend. If you are 5' this may be for you. The 1140 is much bigger on leg room. For the price it should have a good comfortable cab with plenty of room for larger guys.

      Kubota is built to last and work hard. Polaris and most others are made to run some trails, light duty work. They are prone to breakdowns and are money pits, sucking up money for replacement parts. Buy this machine for life. Buy the others if you want a disposable machine. People like the look and high speed of the other machines, so they assume they are better. If you want a long lasting work machine, buy a Kubota. That Kubota engine will last a lifetime if maintained property.
