Cool, I hit mine with the pb blaster and it’s working on a charm with my ‘07 LX50. I think that little kick start gear is loose for me or sliding out because I hear a bell/singing sound when I’m riding; like the gear is scraping against the flywheel or something
The bell sound is likely from the bendix

i need help with my moped the kickstart used to go down but my transmission belt broke into peices ever since that happened i kick it down and it struggles to go down but it goes perfectly up the electric start don’t work my last hope is kickstart please can someone help out
My aprila area51 doesn't have the clip on the pinion gear dose tat matter

Hate bugging about my kickstart being jammed up. I've removed cover, cleaned, lubed and it still will not go down. I've put it on 5 or 6 times, same results. When off scooter the unit works smoothly. Either I'm doing something wrong or motor is seized or some gear bearing is jacked. My electric starter doesn't work.. So I can crank that way. A guy told me I should use channel locks to try turning crankshaft... Does that sound correct ? Any suggestions appreciated. I to dang old to keep riding the MTN BIKE. Thanks
That will tell you if the motor is seized up. If you turn the crank with channel locks.

Holy shit that's a Kymco top boy man ... Mine is kicking back at me after I outan aftermarket CDI why or how can I fix it
So I have most of the same parts and got everything reinstalled on my Kmyco zx50 (2003) everytime I use the Kickstarter the part to the left of the moon gear (lol) fits in nicely but moves up and out of the housing and I don't know why. Suggestions?

I have a 2015 genuine roughouse r50. And i cant get that crankshaft cover off? Took all the bolts out but it seems frozen. Is there a trick to get it off? I need it off to fix my kick starter. Seems like a spring problem but dont know till i get that damn cover off. Please help
I would make sure you have all hoses and bolts off again. Then gently pry with screwdriver or something. The gasket ca just be stuck. Good luck

I kick-started mine and it got loose and just slides if I just tighten the bolt will it fix it I need to know asap because I have to be to work tommorow and can't walk it's to far any tips would be great
Yeah your gear is probably stripped. If tightening it more and more fails. Try to put soemthing around the gear so it won't strip anymore. Or replace gear and kickstart
So like, what if my kickstart did that, but the moped actually turned on, and everything started grinding
What is that black hose going to the front of the whole case? My Tao tao atm 50 a1 has the port there, but I can't seem to find the hose that should go into it. Also, why is there a seal or gasket when there are so many open holes that let air in anyways?
That hose is just a ventilation thing for the case. Also I belive it holds a vacuum, I know if you pinch that hose, it will start up easier. Not sure about that gasket tbh. Prolly for dirt/debris.

@@remyllebeau77 well, it Is a crankcase breather, it shouldn't be capped off. That I believe goes to the carburetor if I'm not mistaken. I would replace instead of capping off. Do a little research on the side. Look at this link. scootdawg.proboards.com/thread/51628/crankcase-valve-cover-vent-hose
The gasket is mainly to prevent damaging tge cvt cover and the mating surface, gasket provides some cushion so it squishes and not the aluminum surfaces. It also helps keep a negligible amount of dirt out.

Yes. Just a gear. You would need battery start tho.
You never showed us the bike starting on the kick start if ya put it back on wrong it will still spring up and down but won't engage

How do you get the case off after you take out the bolts
Mine came right off. Maybe pry very slightly with a screwdriver
I whack the rear with a rubber mallet, then tilt the top away and downwards
I fixed my quick start and now my starter pulley don’t work 😭 amén
