BUBBLE WRAP with Fluid Paint? Amazing EFFECT! Wow! Abstract Acrylic Art Painting

- I wanted to play with bubble wrap for a long time so I thought why not do a rainbow pour! I can't wait for you to see this one; and it really gives me many ideas to explore.

Today's Tutorial Information:
▶ Technique: Bubble wrap dip
▶ Canvas size: 40cm Canvas.
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with a Pouring Medium for all techniques unless otherwise stated in the video. The ratio I use is 1:3:1 Paint/Medium/Water. I use Floetrol/Owatrol for my medium.
▶ Color Palette:
Amsterdam - pirrole red, azo orange, azo yellow lemon, brilliant green, manganese blue, ultramarine violet
Daler Rowney: Indigo
▶ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.

Rainbows remind me that things can be bad but there's always hope. Luckly I got some bubble wrap so i can try something like that but not quite. I tried with the ballons but in reverse. I loved the final result. Some beautiful prints. Thanks for the idea 😊

What a beautiful and fun piece! I love your technique and I especially love how you describe in detail what you are doing. Absolutely love it!!! 2 of my favorite techniques ❤ I always say that balloon dips can save most any canvas. Just a tip, taping down the bubble wrap helps when you lift the canvas. I wish the round canvas would be less expensive though.

PS: when you put the canvas onto the paint (before you put pressure on it), I was asking myself what it would look like if you rotated the canvas on the paint. It may not be the greatest idea, but if I were the one who's painting, my curiosity would be too strong to resist. I am just too much of a "what happens if I" person 😊
Thanks Michaela - I think you’d get quite a lot of muddy colors however - what if we sprayed it will a cell activator before doing the dip?! So many possibilities

Life savers. I wish you could show how thick or thin the paint you use is. I’ve found this such a help. Just show how it drips off a stick
I do in 95% of my videos 🤩🙏 it’s a 1:3 consistently and ratio so it’s like runny honey 🍯
Mark you could use a similar technique to make a planet or moon canvas with craters in softer colours .Just an idea .

Hello Mark, I have just discovered your work and videos and I live the paintings you create. Can I ask a question about the Floetrol pouring medium...how do you mix the Floetrol with water to create the pouring medium, is it 1:1. I can see you use 1:3:1 paint:PM:water but I assume there us a recipe to create the PM. I hope I have made this clear and thank you in advance for your help.

I have seen Gilly Kube do a similar dip, with balloon kisses. I tried it back then with greens and gold. It was cool but very dark!
