I want to add a special "clapping emoji", your mate Jake Nielsen did a great job with lyrics and the Direction and writing were over the top. Y'all have quite the talented ensemble both cast and crew.
Most realistic part: “it’s something he got at level 1 but hasn’t used it till now.”
I've used hellish rebuke for the first time with my tiefling a week ago, and we started playing around a year ago now XD
Yeah, that one hit home. I literally spent the last year or so (at least 10 levels of play) forgetting that my Wizard's dragonling familiar could do more than let me speak and understand Draconic. I could've been dropping even more zones of bad in places I thought I couldn't get my spells to, just by having the little bugger nyoom over the battlefield instead of sticking close!
"I need to save it for a dreadful situation"
Yeah. In game bardic inspiration is pretty useless with few exceptions
@@skysamurai4649 Inspired rolls are always a useful concept, just not always with much greater result.

"nixie says concerning things, but mostly ends up burning things"
true summary of the charater in one line
They are only concerning if you are not a friend.
Things like "flames can sound so much like applause"? What a great line, I played an evocation wizard so I know where she's coming from.
The sorcerer is setting everyone on fire is apparently "bad" and "evil" and "cruel and unusual punishment" but when the paladin starts screaming divine might while splatting people's heads with a hammer it considered "good" and "holy" and "this is my religion you can criticise it".
@@gerardmontgomery280 Sounds familiar.
@@dkman123 I heard the lyric as "screams can sound so much like applause" Maybe that is why concerned is not the emotion I feel when Nixie is involved...
Hmm learn something about yourself everyday
The production value of this show is insane
Indeed! It has always been awesome ... but honestly: This episode was just incredible!
At this point half the Australian culture budget is just reselved for 1 For All.
Yea it's really high. The flame effects aren't terrible, but with the rest being so ace they do stand out negatively though. Always room for improvement!
It really is.

If I was a DM and singing like this during the session I too would be like, "okay I'll allow it."
Rule of Cool cannot be denied. Especially when the one performing looks like he's just coming down off an orgasm high.
One cool to rule the all.
So bardic inspiration turns the battle into a musical. I love it.
Nah that's Danse Macabre
If you want to roleplay it like that sure
Musicals can be great & make things better.
For example: I'm not generally religious, YET I love the Musicals "Godspell" as well as "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat". Similarly enjoyed "Veggie Tales" as a kid. So making something you normally dislike in the form of Musicals or other entertainment with music. That makes it enjoyable.
"That's not really how that ability works... but i'll allow it!"
THAT'S THE RULE OF COOL FOLKS!
I mean technically yes. But Bardic Inspiration does allow slightly better rolls. So really Sexy boy can use it up his chances at pickpocketing the key from the guard. Than use it to help his party succeed at the proceeding combat phase.
It's not guaranteed success but these are murder hobos so they're at least good at fighting. So even a little push makes a difference.
@@clothar23 but he cant use it on itself
@@MarcoSanchez.BajoTierraYPaso Depends on how you interpret the orginal text of Bardic Inspiration . It says " You can as a bonus action on your turn to choose a creature within 60 feet who can hear you. That creature gains one Bardic Inspiration die , a d6 . "
It makes no mention of it having to be someone other than you. Since I would argue you're always within sixty feet of yourself.
If we go with the revised D&D Beyond than yes. It specifically states it has to be someone else.
Of Course a better counterpoint would be is that He's a College of Swords Bard . Since unlike say a College of Lore Bard he doesn't get acess to Peerless Skill which would let you add Inspiration die to your skill checks.
@@clothar23 in the "rules as written" episode it was confirmed that Antrius cannot technically inspire himself, but does it anyway.

I could have been, "We're Fighter, Sorcerer and Bard!"
Relistening again and the line “anyone can be undone by any one” is ridiculously clever.

My favorite was the opening stanza, where we're meant to think "Slain" but Antrius brings us back to "Bucket", keeping well with the rhyming scheme.

I would absolutely watch a feature length film of this party. This _feels_ like the climax of a movie. The ragtag bunch of misfits are beaten and battered and down to their lowest point, but just when all hope seems lost, they rally together as a real team and make a triumphant comeback. The musical swell at 2:38 right as the big brawl breaks out gets me so hyped up, and both big fight sequences are so enjoyable to watch. The absolute best part for me, though, is everything starting at 4:17 with the gear up sequence up until the discordant singing gag. Just everything about that section meshes together wonderfully.
I also enjoy how it seems like it's not only Antrius who has just now figured out how this whole "team" thing is supposed to work. Evandra actually abandoned a kill to protect her friends' backs from another attacker, and this might just be the most controlled I've ever seen Nixie's flames.
To me, this seems more like a villain-song.
@@eyeballheadinalabcoat No it ain't! Well, besides the whole "jail-break", the promise of harm to future NPCs, mercy-killing a guard with Vicious Mockery... Okay, maybe you have a point.
@@eyeballheadinalabcoat Yeah, well, they were in jail for a reason.
Sometimes, players like to play an evil campaign, and then, you're rooting for the bad guys to win. As long as EVERYONE (every player AND the DM) are on the same page, it can be fun to play murderhoboes.
I would also watch a feature length film. I'd watch a whole TRILOGY of this party, as well as their guests (the cleric and Bob Ross the Barbarian are my favorites). Heck, I even want their BBEG to get more screen time. He is HILARIOUS. Also that squid guy is really funny, too, so if they had to go up against both of them, I'd love it!

@@deerstalkerpictures I'm curious: do you guys have to pay Dungeons and Dragons any sort of copyright cash?
@@MarsM13 they've done things in partnership so, probably not, what would they have to pay Copyright for? D&D is essentially open source Wizard's of the Coast just publish official rules and guides.
@@MarsM13 while D&D is trademarked, you'll notice they never actually explicitly stated they're playing D&D. They could be playing zpathfinder, or any random homebrew system... Anyway, it's free advertising for TTRPGs like D&D, so, I would really hope not.
Your voice is incredible!!!!
That harmony starting at 4:33 and building to it's peek at 4:47 was absolutely sick. Damn well done by all involved.
Well the cat liked it
The trailer is accurate the DM was all those guys.
As per usual 😂
like in every episode
DM's typically play on the NPC's that's the running joke.
So what you're saying is that we need a D&D movie where Gary Oldman plays the DM?
@@pragmax No we certainly don't need a D&D movie, that would be very very bad but I think you got the hang of it.
This is probably the best all-in-one episode ever...
Also... 4:36 - Did anyone know that Nixie could sing, like really well?
And through those Tiefling teeth props.
I love how nixie sings “ready to face all the foes in our way”
her actress is actually a really good singer.
she also performed a song written by her in a show once, and has an angel voice.
I was lucky enough to see this video play in a movie theater right before the D&D movie.
Listening to this song on repeat for way too long. I honestly still can't believe how all three of them look even sexier with dirt on them.
