Early Maiden was best Maiden
Kerry King agress - recently he said Maiden were still trading from the success of their first few albums. Oh, and I think the first two were the best, for what that's worth.
I disagree. Two albums and then the most important record in metal history. The number of the beast. And that's still early, Maiden. The first two records are undoubtedly brilliant , but not the magnum opus that was the third.
Both Yes and no.
The 2 first albums was so damn good Thanks to Di'anno's incredible vocals and he really was incredibly back then and not just on the albums but also live and back in his prime,I would say that he was miles better than Dickinson.
But when Dickinson came around,the whole sound and feeling of Iron Maiden changed into something far more Metal,if one can say that and their lyrics began to become real works of art that told a story or gave a history lesson and their imagery became far better as well.
As much as I simply love the early Di'anno,I have to say that with Di'anno,Iron Maiden would not have become the biggest and greatest Metal band of all time.

What is the problem if he reads the lyrics from a paper? The result counts for me..

The 'reading the lyrics from a paper' part was pretty obvious and a bad look. Why not film it after he memorizises the lyrics.. to his own song? The sound is ok.. I am glad he is making music.
