#Beck #JuddApatow #Hyperspace - Hudba
I'm suddenly obsessed with Beck's music. Yet again.
Amazing. Wish there were more people in the audience to appreciate this.
I lovethe fact that Beck is uploading all these videos..
He deserves all the credit in the world..
His voice is ASMR
What is wrong with the audience here? They just seem dead in the water. And Morning Phase was a gorgeous experience in sound. Beck deserved a lot more applause then he got when that album was mentioned. Love the new album too. Can't stop listening to it. Thanks Beck for all the joy you bring xx
there's only 14 people there lol
Morning Phase was unbelievable. I feel this generation doesn’t appreciate Beck’s craft. This man makes albums not streaming one hit wonders. Respect ✊
0:40 ''Well, I was sittin' at home cookin' up a steak
Satan came down dressed like a snake
Well, he called my name as I turned up the flames
And then I realized I was out of mayonnaise
Well, you been livin' one foot in the grave''
Beck’s the goddamn man!
He needs to release Midnite Vultures on vinyl already:'(
He never did that? If he did I would totally consider buying it
Well, its master tapes are probably ash at the moment, so they wouldn't be able to be properly remastered for vinyl.
It has been released on vinyl...unfortunately, Nicotine & Gravy was edited to fit it on one disc
@@warpedlenz Aw man, Nicotine & Gravy is too good to shorten.
Agreed!!
The Signature Hat😁
35:48 Beck ends the interview blocking the lights, and then it transitions to the album cover, with him blocking the light!
BECK is literally my music spirit animal if there was ever such a thing 🤣🤣🤣. I love Beck and I love thus album!!! Someday I wanna meet him shake his hand and give him a hug 🤣. He's what gets me through if I need music to help me along because he's got something for any mood I may be in and it doesn't get old. I wish Beck had more of the notoriety he deserves, but the fact he's not overblown or wrecked by over popularity is what makes him even more special to me. He truly is an incredible artist.
Midnight Vultures is an amazing album.
Hyperspace is amazing. I think Beck's best, and I've been a fan for years!
❤️
Still so sad I missed your performance at The Gorge! Should have made a detour on my vacation.
Just saw him live it was incredible
Hes so adorable !!
I love him
This album is iconic. 👏👏👏👏
everything that is STILL REMEMBERED 30 years later is considered good.
I just heard about the fire. Hope all his tapes are safe
I just read about it too.
I barely have a backlog at all, but if I did, I'd be devastated if anything was destroyed.
Here's hoping most, if not all, your music masters are safe.
Maybe us fans can help spread the word about better storage & preservation of old masters?
They're gone :(
I pretended to be this dude especially in the Where its At video when I was 6-7. The junior high kids would throw me change to sing that and Devils Haircut. Brought a playskool mic and speaker to school, and my sisters boyfriends construction vest. He was my first non kid musical love. Im still as big a fan, but i dont get loose change from the older kids anymore....
Thank you for that talk guys! much appreciated
Beck was definitely one of my favorite artist when I was in highschool and college.
can i just say i think Beck is just SWELL, what a sense of humor this one has...Very Cool person:)))
Marty McFly: "but your KIDS are gonna love it!"
Love you !!!
Yo I could listen to that harmonica for hours
such a real insightful interview like your right there with them shootin the shiznick with a couple of good buddies:)))
Love the record, great job man!
You coming back to Columbus Ohio any time soon? 😃
Watching from the everlasting something cool !
Nice.
I love him since 21 years ago
My limited gold vinyl still hasn't shipped, any word on that?

Beck is hilarious
The venerable Shure SM58. What a great mic. Once they settle down a bit, this get real interesting.
I love a long, sprawling interview. These snapchat soundbite things that are supposed to address an entire album and its process are pointless.
The Information in my opinion was Becks last great album, everything after has been lukewarm aside from a few tracks here and there. It feels like everything since he’s been trying to appeal to the masses.
Release remastered version of CURFEW. All Beck fans that read this. CZcams search Curfew by Beck.
BECK 😊
29:13 i agree
Good
The hyperspace button is on the game Defender. Beck said it was on Space Invaders. So Beck is NOT perfect. Hmmm.
The Beastie Boys made reference to it in the song Body Movin' with "And if you play defender I could be your hyperspace, so"
Beck is looking quite Amish! I remember meeting him at the Nylon Mag Launch party. Nice work guys.
If I interviewed we’d be chillin on a couch putting on songs and talk and bout them
Beck is Funked Up!
Woooo did Beck say he loves the Big Lebowskie...back in 2000 that movie was like my bible.. i rented that movie twice by mistake and after renting it for the third time i thought ok i need to open my mind and see whats it all about...yep it was to teach me to take IT easy man there's a beverage here lol .... be more like The Dude..or dudett lol
Defender was the game.
In Solaris you could also jump to hyperspace to avoid the enemy. Atari 2600.
@@genx7006 I forgot about that and I actually had it a wine coloured cartridge..
I recognize the dude doing the interview but I don’t know where from
He directed basically every good movie in 00's, and made Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill,+, household name's.
You'd definitely recognize his wife.
Did he tour australia yet, does anyone know?
No, he toured in Jan 2018 for colors but nothing for the new album yet.
Creative chord progressions and a melody over 2 turn tables and a microphone any day of the week.
Why not both?
Beck fans need to watch this acoustic gig he did a few weeks ago, czcams.com/video/v-ap6OOnmX8/video.html so loose and Beck is so funny in it. Imo Beck is the greatest recording artist of the 21st century. Hyperspace is the bomb.
12 minutes in folks. The rest they just small talk.
"Dark side of the PCH.."
"cage the elephants'"?
my tookish is getting sore watching them sit on those wooden stools for 35 mins.. Yikes
boring conversation, just play the nme interview.... much better
just not feeling this album or the previous one . Always loved Beck but find myself losing interest with last cpl releases . He needs to do another folkie record in the style of One Foot in the Grave .
Like Beck a lot.
Hasn’t made a great album since Modern Guilt though
While all musical taste is personal to the individual; you really don't dig _Morning Phase_ ?
Album picks up pretty much exactly where _Sea Change_ left off; quite brilliantly I might add. His Scott Walker -esque voice is so utterly compelling! But so it goes..
You like what you like.. You be you!
"One foot in the grave, the other slippin' on a banana peel.." "Out here livin' like a doctah!" Danny Brown by way of "Uncle" Joey Diaz (quoted apropos of nothing).
Note: Edited for grammar police.
Also: Edit dictated, but not read, by Calvins niece Amy (Cal's really not feelin' well!)
Cal Wiggums I really liked Waking Light off that album.
@@Warp75 Great track! I've come back to many an album I didn't really enjoy / understand first few listens. My best "Sleeper Albums" (like Smog - _Knock Knock_ & Jim O'Rourke's - _Insignificance_ , Run On - _No Way_ / _Television -_Marqee Moon_ / Geraldine Fibbers - _Butch_ / Silver Jews - _Natural Bridge_ / Polvo - _Exploded Drawings_ / Stars of the Lid - _Ballasted Orchestra_ / Scott Walker - _Tilt_ / Edith Frost - _Calling Over Time_ / Yo La Tengo - _Painful_ \ John Coltrane - _African Brass_ \ Sonny Rollins _Vol. 2 (single RVG sess)_ \ John Oswald - _Grey Folded_ \ Movietone - _Day and Night_ \ David Crosby - _If Only I Could Remember My Name_ & P.E.R.R.O. Sessions et. al.) oftentimes become perennial favorites.
Note: really hope I didn't come across as a prick jumpin' your post. Just been _One of Those Days_ .. I'll erase this comment in a few, possibly maybe
Edited Note: Beck's _It Won't Be Long - Extended Mix_ 12" (also available here on CZcams officially, after an absence) always makes me feel warm & fuzzy inside. Works almost like a form of sonic alprazolam! The fact that when Beck released the single back a few years ago, that tracks CZcams page description gave fans a direct link to the groovy extended dub mix B-side. Sadly, barely anyone read the pull down desription menu to read how rad Beck always treats fans. Thus philistines (err.. regular folks) missed out. Suffice it to say, Beck is a capital A Artiste of the highest caliber.
_Peace&JahBless_
Edited: general momo-ness
Got an awful case of the _Rockin' Pneumonia & the Boogie Woogie Flu!_
Cal Wiggums Insignificance is a great album.
@@Warp75Times like these a meet-up @ a virtual hash / sheiksa (sp?) bar to buy you a toke of whatever & chop it up (literally & figuratively, ya dig?) really would be cool. I imagine the cantina alien bar scene from _Star Wars!_ That really would be something!
Keep on keepin' on
