This movie and the red hood movie had me locked in as a kid. I was a hyper ass kid back then but as soon as these movies came on, you couldn’t get me to move.
The only reason Leo lost the second round of this fight was because he was fighting angry when he specifically told Ralph not to. Ralph actually listened to Leo in the second half and fault calmer until the final bit where they got into a clash of strength. Leo isn’t used to fighting angry like Ralph does, he was never going to beat him on that level
As soon as that rage kicked in, Raph straight up went for the kill. He wasn't having none of that fight no more. For a moment i honestly thought he was about to try and kill Leo and Spilter would show the hell up outta nowhere to stop it when I was a kid.
So glad to see someone giving TMNT the love it deserves. By far the edgiest movie from our childhoods and by far one of the coolest animated movies period.

Despite the disadvantage in range compared to most other melee weapons, sai can definitely be a hard counter to most sword types (katana included), ESPECIALLY if you really know how to use em. They are mainly meant for defense after all, which is very useful against a offensive sword. The more you know

All I know is that growing up there was my 3 brothers and myself and you can bet that ass we all had our favorite Ninja Turtle and put on our specific Turtle Colorways and did battle with the improvised weapons of each. Older brother was Raphael, Older of the 2 younger brothers was Leonardo and the youngest was Michaelangelo...with me being the true MVP of the Turts, Donatello. Wrecking everyone's shit with a goddamn bo-staff...though I won't lie, one day I was trying to be slick and do this "big brain" dive off the couch and hit the goddamn corner of an end table and ended up rolling into the corner of the room holding my foot because I just caught that shit on the corner hard as fuck, and my youngest brother, as Mikey, took full advantage of the situation and used his chucks' (soccer socks stuffed with other rolled up socks and bouncing balls to give it weight to swing around) and absolutely devastated me in that corner. Little dude wailed on me. Left me all lumped up. Dude really went into the zone. Embarrassing as fuck. My other 2 brothers were laughing so hard the younger one puked. Since he was the youngest I couldn't actually hit him full force obviously, but he had zero qualms about it the other way around. So I was left tucked up in the corner with a flimsy Styrofoam staff trying to defend against these absolute missiles. Didn't go well for me lol. Still one of my favorite memories to randomly remember, makes me laugh every time.

@@IIIISai Leo literally said don’t do this raph and u can see Leo was all down for fighting when he thought he was fighting just nightwatcher and as soon as he knocked raphs helmet off and saw him he was shocked and that’s where raph kicks him, Leo obviously didn’t wanna fight his brother but raph is stubborn and decided to say I’m done taking orders and pulls out his weapons forcing Leo to fight, also Leo wasn’t sent there to train by fighting people he was sent there to become a better leader, that had nothing to do wit fighting, and like I said raph let’s the anger take over and was fighting to kill Leo and my point is proven when at the end raph calms down and notices that he almost killed Leo and is so disappointed in himself and his actions that he just runs away not even able to look leo in his face.
No but for real what did Leo think was gonna happen when he came back Rafael right to be mad and leave in your little brothers to pay the bills well you just dipped out. And on top of that Raph had to clean the streets of criminals.
