FF16 Titan boss battle. - Hry
PS5 after playing this scene: "I'm tired, boss"
That’s to damm bad
Love how the entire Titan Lost fight was basically just Clive swearing the entire time being utterly exasperated at everything going on.
"Founder help me..."
Well, if you were a giant demonic-lizard-man fighting that monstrosity wouldn't you cuss?
"SHIIITTTT" 😂😂😂
He maybe said 3?
Wouldn't you?
I love how this game, despite being dark fantasy, will cut some slack and go full blown anime when Ifrit is being controlled.
No yeah the Ifrit segments are fucking serotonin mixed in with adrenaline. They're super fun after Garuda
I appreciate Garuda cause it's like a classic Godzilla brawl. Slow and clunky but destructive. Not the most fun but it kinda pays homage to the classics.
Never played this game, but the fact that this includes "Cinematic" evasion and counter bonuses shows that the game revels in how over-the-top these fights can get
I felt like it was goku vs freeza on nemic all over again in some parts of the battle. Hahah pretty cool though.
@@JanusHoWI kinda get why they did that but the game isn’t too terribly hard to begin with. It does have huge difficulty spikes in some places with makes sense.
I have to admit, I did NOT expect the final phase at all.
But what it does is show that even after Kupka's immense borrowed strength is spent, he still engages in a tumbling struggle, no longer caring if he dies so long as he takes his nemesis with him.
They nailed Kupka's all-consuming hatred of Clive perfectly.
My only question is how did they end up falling from the sky in the end where they were falling into the earth in that last phase
@@calamaty2007 they weren't falling into the earth they were falling through titan lost
@@calamaty2007I guess canonically the fight was short.
It’s long because gameplay reasons
The most dangerous man alive is a man with nothing to lose.
Yea I was to. I had maybe a quarter health left and was like really another form. Thats Final Fantasy for you.
I sat controller down in awe for 20 minutes after this battle. This might be the greatest battle sequence I have ever experienced. Absolutely blown away
Exactly bro!
Just wait till bahamut
I know right? It's like playing a Marvel movie lol
@@k.c.simonsen2lmao what ! Marvel movies don't hold a candle to Ff16 eikon fights
Bahamut is far and away the most cinematic, over the top, grand in scale boss fight I’ve played in a very long time. Still trying to wrap my head around what I saw in that fight lol
This game has some of the most amazing boss fights of all time. This one really blew me away. Came here just to watch it again. Can't believe what videogames can do these days.
Then people will go off saying it’s bad and sucks because it’s not realistic enough
@@julianmcmurray7734lmao ff and realism ? those retards are something else
Hugo ain’t even the final boss and CBU3 still pulled still one of the most outrageously epic fights in FF history. The choir of the final phase is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Phenomenal send off for the character and the Dhalmekian arc of the game. Yoshi P and his avengers really did it.
Wait till you see the Phoenix, Ifrit vs Bahamut boss fight. It was like Dragonball Z but Shen Long is Goku, with Fusion technique 😂😂😂
Yoshi P and his team are the ones who gave impressive villains like Gaius van Baelsar and Zenos yae Galvus, so Hugo Kupka is just them continuing the process.
@@vexcarius7100Goddamn foreal!
@@vexcarius7100
Dragonball is really not that much spectacular even as a young boy manga.
@@deathbykonami5487Hugo was a great villain tbh
I love how the music shifts from classical in Titan's first phase, to rock tracks in his second and third phases as Titan Lost, then back to classical as normal Titan but still having the choir follow the same notes as the vocals in the third phase track.
Soken is an anomaly on this Earth. Nobody understands his thought process, but the man *does not miss.*
The hilarious thing was that Soken said as a joke he put this track in before letting anyone know. When this sequence came the entire team loved it and they kept it in.
@@ProfessorHeavy1when the man cooks, it’s nothing but masterpieces and bangers, I swear
Between the narrative story arc conclusion, the fight mechanics, and the way the music shifts and changes with the fight. This whole sequence is one of the greatest moments in video games. Bombastic badass and brutal feast for the senses.
Coming from ff14, their signature is all over this. The multiple phases, epic music scores and incredible storytelling is so good to see in the main line titles now. It bodes well for the future!
@@sun_beams Oh yeah. With what we have in FFXIV for Titans music, I knew this one was gonna go crazy. 🤣❤️
If you love final fantasy, DMC and asura wrath, this is 100% your game
I literally just got done with this fight 15 minutes ago, with my family watching the whole thing. I kept seeing people say on social media the last few days that Titan was their fav fight in the game and I thought it was gonna be just okay for me, but when it got to that final phase, I was like WHAT THE FUCK and my whole family was shouting out “OOOOHHHHHHHH SHIT!!!” and such.
And everybody clapped
@@kobecleckler7431 ironically, half of us were drunk and we did
wish i had that with my family lol
Lol my family would have made some snide remarks about gaming as an adult and gone on with their lives.
lol I had the same reaction, Each sequence I was like "OH DAMN!" TO "DA FUQ!" TO "HOLY FUCK!!!!"
This fight made me hugely respect Hugo Kupka. The man refused to be defeated and die, he kept coming back just by hatred and vengeance alone.
Hugo FUCKING Kupka my dudes, what an amazing villain.
Oh yeah definitely I liked how he was more of a personal antagonist toward Clive, his main drive was nothing more than to straight up kill the guy down to the very end
The only man who got stronger by imagining himself being cucked
@@Daryl90thats how i felt too; this nigga a cuck and he mad that clive killed benedikta but she never cared about hugo in the first place; mans was lost; truely
Still a simp though
@@Daryl90big muscular dudes are often giant man babies so it checks out
You’ll see where Creative Business Unit 3 asked helped from the KH4 team and the parts influenced by the Nier team.
FF16 was truly a masterpiece. You can feel the passion and dedication of the game devs. Welcome to the new era of Final Fantasy!!
And that upbeat music was so DMC! Damn!
Titan Lost reminds you of Soken's and The Primal's Titan theme
The three camera flashes at the end imply it’s a PlatinumGames fight
This fight has nothing to do with KH. It is pure platinumgames (specially bayonetta). The end of the battle is a direct reference (three flashes and the coin sound).
@@HombreAproximativo KH team was involved in the dev as well. Feel free to watch the pre-launch celebration
@@HombreAproximativo Wow i knew I heard the coin sound but I couldn’t tell which game it came from, nice
I liked that opening scene a lot for Clive. It’s seriously cool seeing him learn how to control Ifrit after he’d been struggling throughout the game. Good stuff
This boss was... EIKONIC. One of the best boss fights in the history.
It’s some impressive spectacle, but mechanically it is not very complex tbh
@@JCNL871For me, it's all personal enjoyment. Yoshi-P knows that Miyazaki is the god of all mechanical boss fights (in a frustrating way) so he might as well design his own to be spectacular to watch and for pure enjoyment.
@@JCNL871nah man it checks all box of fun.
@@fukunaga-kaneGood for you, I’m happy you’re having fun!
Amazing boss fight. I thought of Asura's Wrath the entire time lol.
Especially the Wyzen fight aka the heckin' chonker boy.
@@MrPwner911 Absolutely. This fight was like a mixture of Wyzen and Chakravartin.
@@kay.2144I feel like every boss in this game has a bit of Chakravartin tbh
@@yamnbam4346 The Finl Fight especially. You know why. ;)
This is how epic FF15 wanted their Leviathan fight to be like. My blood was pumping the entire time, and when the music kicked in at the start of the second phase and Clive starts running and I grinning ear to ear. Definitely one of the best boss fights I've gone through.
And now we're getting an ff16 leviathan fight!
You wanna say FFXV failed? Please!
I think the Titan fight is my most favorite of Eikon fights, not just of the OST and some FFXIV references, mainly because it was personal not just for Clive, but for Hugo too.
This boss fight was remind of Belos's titan form.
Goodness heavens. This might be the most legendary boss fight in the history of all boss fights. So epic in scale, intense, suspenseful, emotional, the graphics, the soundtrack, playing with headphones I couldn't even blink as I lost myself in this fight. If you dont have FF16 you need it now!
Gameplay looks awful though...
Agreed 👍
Definitely top 3 for Top 10 Giant Bosses
Anyone else worry about where Torgal was during all of this?
Probably enjoying the show far away
lmao I didn't notice him after so many times watching this lol. He must have super thick plot armor to survive the two transformations
Hahaha yeah I did myself the same question
This was the most incredible fight I've ever experienced in gaming. It was so hard since my jaw was dropped the whole time from how amazed I was! And the music has no business going so hard, but of course it does! I just finished this fight like 30 minutes ago and I'm still shaking from the excitement haha
Facts 😊
I gotta give it to Kupka. He truly hated Clive with every fiber of his existence.
25:50 This is Platinum Games as heck. You'd almost expect to have a Bayonetta result screen instead of the victory fanfare.
I never thought I'd ever see the day a Crystal would cuck a guy into unlocking his potential.
27:04 Hugo’s hellbent on killing Clive for killing Benedikta is what led to him overuse his titan form and when finally killed caused his remains petrify.
This game better win the award of “BIGGEST FLEX” of 2023.
Too bad people down voted this game for having less diversity

I think Titan Lost might be one of the largest bosses ever in Final Fantasy. Ifrit is already a giant Godzilla sized beast compared to humans, and look how much bigger Titan Lost is than that
here ifrit is like 30 feet tall, but still huge
0:50 - 1:11 Hugo really went: "No, I don't want that! Benedikta finding another man?! I want her to think about me and no one else for the rest of my life! Even after I die, I want to be at the front of her mind for a while! Ten years, at least!"
Hugo's become so much like Eren Yeager, it's scary.
This is the best comment
And yet, he is a Titan
OMG BRUHHHH💀💀💀
@@DocumentGamingit’s literally a quote from attack on titan, why do you think he mentioned eren yeager?
That chorus/key change at around 22:30. What an incredible sequence!
This soundtrack went so hard I love it. Although that battle theme has been stuck in my head for days and that soft section always makes me laugh because it feels so out of place. But FF soundtracks always rule.
@@k.c.simonsen2 I played FFXIV until Endwalker, and have found that a few of Soken's tracks have little hooks like this that are just delightful. Personally, I feel like after about 20 minutes of fighting in this insane, cataclysmic Kaiju fight, the hook was just the right backdrop to accompany Clive's heroicness and determination to see things through to the end and avenge his loved ones. It's Final Fantasy all the way and I feel better than ever about Soken taking the reigns from Nobuo Uemastsu.
just made it past this boss fight and had to come see this again... PEAK GAMING
I really hope this game gets a boss rush mode.
@@diccchocolate416 pardon my ignorance, but isn't arcade mode exactly that? you kill bosses, clear scenarios and get a rank for it? Very DMC/Bayonetta like
@@igorlemes1123 sure but it's not JUST the bosses, it's the levels too. What I'm talking is boss after boss with no in-between.
@@diccchocolate416 ahhh fair! I haven't played that mode yet so i thought we could just fight the bosses. Yeah, you're right, that would be awesome!
Soken must love Titan because he always gets the best themes
Devil may Wrath: Fantasy of War XVI, Clive's Revengeance!
Fun fact one of the creators explain that this boss fight was inspired by the god of war 3 Poseidon boss fight!
The Bayonetta reference at the end is peak videogames. I didn't expect it and laughed like a madman.
Literally just got to this boss myself about half an hour ago. I wasn't expecting Soken and what I can only assume to be Koji again to make a XVI vocal track for Titan. When they said XVI would have XIV DNA, I wasn't expecting it to be this blatant.
I know! This was some eden levels of epic.
Soken really said "this one's for the FF14 players".
Soken said in an interview that he was told to go full classical for this game, but felt that this fight needed rock and so snuck it in without telling the other devs; as it happened, they loved it.
Square really made a new Asura's Wrath because Capcom refused to make one huh.
Soken really did say "lord forgive me but its time to go back to the old me" lolol titan theme will always pop tf off
14:25 Phase 2 and the trailer music starts!
Imagine just being some random civilian seeing this shit go down. Like you're some shepherd or goatherd or something and these two are just going absolute ham on each other in your general vicinity.
that was the first thing i thought when i did this fight like “are people seeing this?”
One of the best boss battles I’ve ever seen HOLY
You can tell Yoshi-P and Soken are involved because Titan has half a dozen different themes
That last phase was like a child playing with his action figures.
And I fucking loved it 😂😂😂 holy shit this was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I get chills EVERY time that final phase starts. 10/10 theme. 10/10 fight. Will remember fondly forever.
Moment I heard that fucking theme kick in I just felt the need to hug Soken for including that in this game
This is the absolute peak if FFXVI, and by god its absurdly awesome
9:53 I couldn’t believe it, the game became Asura’s Wrath and I was all for it. I went back into Arcade Mode to play it again a couple times. 😂 HELL YEAH
This game deserves to be a GOTY
Despite being inconsistent in it's pacing, this game have some of the best moments a game can offer and this, is an achievement.
Game of the Year so far for me.
I have know idea what's been going on in the story, but damn that fight was INSANE. I wonder what that final battle gonna look like.
1. Clive killed Benedicta. Hugo loves Benedicta so much. He dreams of ruling the world where he is the king and she is the queen.
2. Clive cut Hugo’s hands in the first boss fight in Rosaria, hence why he’s hands looks prosthetic which stress him out as well.
3. Clive’s group is destroying the mother crystals
Saw the final battle, it was sick as hell
@@krustytheclown2627it’s crazy considering the final fight isn’t even the best. Titan, bahamut and odin are better in my opinion
@@Stanzbey69 Odin boss fight is kinda weak imo, but Bahamut and Titan were just the best
you must not be paying attention then because the games plot is fairly straightforward.
I was not expecting this boss to go this hard, had a lot fun with this one
Me: this game can't get more epic
YoshiP, SOKEN and team on Titan fight: hold our beers
The instant I heard the guitar playing in the Titan Lost phases I started repeating in my head "Bow down, overdweller! (x3) TITAN!!!" Where them Kobolds at?
It's been said once but I'll repeat it anyway: Soken and his team are legends at creating music.
Now where and when can I listen to all of these tunes that hit like a damn Atomic Red Spiral Ray to the ears?
Imagine if Cidolfus and Barnabas were behind Benedicta with Clive.😂
The fight would’ve gone on longer
😂😂😂
I'm sold. This is a top tier FF game. The series is back
Crazy how Kupka is my least favorite dominant character yet his boss battle, at Rosaria and Drake’s Eye, are absolutely my favorite in the game. Don’t even get me started on the music… *chefs kiss*
I wonder how Earth Benders from the Avatar Series would react to this level of earth-bending.
Toph: I can fell…. That is not earth bending, is a natural fuking disaster.
i’ll never forget this shit.
what an insane break of style that 100% worked.
kudos.
Titan delivered the epic as fuck boss fight i had hoped for, all 3 phases were just epic madness and my eyes were orgasming the whole time.
Can’t wait for the soundtrack to come out.
@canal25bits38in July
Going from a Rider Kick + Rasengan finisher combo straight into a surprise free-fall final phase gave me emotions that I can’t fully describe.
Playing this was literally the most epic boss fight I have experienced yet.
The crazy part is that if there was a DLC story about all of the dominants, it'd be its own game. They've got some super stellar side characters in this game
This is a cinimatic masterpiece. I got to watch the whole thing but damn this is Impressive.
I just played through this part of the game today and all I can say is holy fucking shit lol. I’ve played many great games in my 25 years of gaming (31 years old), but not too many have had me jumping up from the couch yelling at the game I’m anticipation of what’s coming next. Well done to all involved in this masterfully crafted game, and I’m excited for the remainder. ❤️
Just finished Bahamut and he was on the same epic level as this fight…. So be prepared for more yelling
That's like 5 boss fights in one boss fight.
Reminds me of the old FF days where you would fight 4 and 5 boss fights back to back with no break in between
This battle gave me strong Asura's Wrath vibes and I loved it for that
The last phase so much reminds me of Gandalf fighting the balrog the way both iftit and titan are fighting while there falling.
literally the best boss fight in any video game ever and its not even remotely close like holy shit they were smoking crack with this one
Something I noticed during this: look at Titan’s eyes here. The last few times we saw him, they were blue, but here they’re a yellow/red color.
Remember when Clive didn’t have control of Ifrit, the Eikon’s eyes were yellow, and once he did learn to control it they were blue. The same is going on here; Hugo is so pissed that he completely lost control of Titan. And you can observe the same thing happen to Garuda and Bahamut as well at other points of the game when they have their freakouts as well.
Such a cool subtle detail!
It happens in the Garuda, Bahamut, Titan, and leviathan fight. Barnabas is the only one we fight that doesn’t lose control.
This was like the Poseidon and Cronos Battle combined from God of War 3 but INFINITELY better and on crack 😂
We NEED boss fights on this level in KH4 when fighting the foretellers, Luxu, and the Master of Masters (probably). The scale would be off the charts!
Just finished this fight! Wow! Felt like a final boss battle!
Same here! I just finished this boss fight today, and my GOD, was this fight phenomenal-probably one of the most intuitive and heart-pounding boss battles I’ve seen in any game!
“Benedikt to marry another man? No, i don’t want that. I want her to have feelings only for me, for 10 years at least” - Hugo
Bro wtf the ost is banger its different feeling compared to other soundtrack 😭😭😭
Well that was Soken's comp in FF14 when you put yourself against Titan
People keep saying that Bahamut is going to outdo this fight and I'm fucking excited to find out how because this is one of the best fights I've ever gotten to play.
Edit: Alright, so I fought Bahamut. I do like Titan's fight more, but Bahamut definitely had a more climactic showdown. I love these fights so much.
Have you done Odin? If yes how was it?
@@elyes_nort9687 Fought Odin. Barnabas is fucking insane, really felt the rivalry between him and Clive.
But yeah, Barnabas is bugfuck nuts and the world is better off without him.
Just finished the titan fight. OH MY GOD! What a fight! Absolutely insane scale while still giving you plenty of control to fight. While XVI may be slow at points, it’s these moments that make it worth the push through them. I bet this is was a conversation between Square Enid and Creative Unit Business III at some point:
Square Enix: “So, how epic and massive in scale will the boss fights be?”
Creative Business Unit III: “YES!!”
The fact Masayoshi Soken can also switch from classical orchestration to straight up hard Devil May Cry esque rock in a heartbeat without it feeling out of place astounds me!
seriously one of the greatest boss battles I have ever played
This wasn't a battle of gods, but a titanomachy.
Soken and team channeling that Asura's Wrath energy and taking their foot off the brakes on this one
Words cannot describe how perfect this fight was. The rivalry between the two dominants, the moment we come face to face with titan after seeing him as unstoppable, the soundtrack everything just fits
Just did this fight and it left me speechless tbh and rn this is probably one of the best bosses in the game hands down
Woop Final Fantasy 16 Lets go!, just finished watching Rossdog plays this too, it looks really good and fun to play
Exactly at 9:53 I began shaking my whole body for the excitement of this boss fight. Absolutely spectacular!
We cant deny that Square Enix knows how to make memorable boss fights
I like how Soken just gave up on the whole orchestra soundtrack design just for the titan fight and you get a really really cool remix of Eden titan from FF14.
The only thing i hated about Hugo's character was that he was such a simp that he committed mass murder for a woman who didn't even give two shits about him.
20:30 ROADO ROLLAR DA !!!!!!
25:22 Clive :ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORAORA!!!!!
Hugo :MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!!!!!

Another Soken Banger. How does he do it again and again and again?
This game is by far the best final fantasy game yes even better than 6 and 7 for me atleast this game is already a top 5 of all time for me the music, the story, the boss fights square have made a fucking masterpiece here
This fight really encapsulates how two dudes who genuinely hate each other make the best fights
9:55 this is the moment Ifrit turns into Sonic the Hedgehog
The "Man Literally Too Angry to Die" energy of this fight had me over the moon.
just finished the fight earlier and i have to put down my controller as i my hands are shaking..the battle sequence is long and nerve wrecking...i survived the fight with just an ounce of life left, used all 6 heals. I have to save the game as fast as i can just to ensure i wont repeat that sh** again. Amazing game this is.
I like how there’s a running theme similar to Asura’s wrath that the big strong and not as intelligent villains waste all their energy to become this huge boss, it’s awesome lmao
Both are beast. Love it. 👍👍
The Primals actually outdid under the wheight, there own song. I guess they liked titan
This battle was simply outstanding! The music, the epicness. A showdown of 2 powerhouses
25:11 Toph Beifong would be proud. 😎
Combine with JoJo reference
That entrance titan made at the beginning had to be the best entrance in a big boss battle ever
Tentacle turds seriously became part of a game tho
When the music switched for the second time I started walking on my ceiling
ive just done this fight and wow totally awesome was not expecting all them phases and ifrit only stands to titans shin that's mental, i wanna do this fight again!
