- I bought a roof rack without instructions from a shop that was no help at all except for quick shipping.
If you assemble most parts on the ground it's not that hard. The hardest part was lifting my hardtop.
So this is my attempt to install it on my own. It took me about 4 hours.
My dude. This video was a lifesaver. Pos doesn't come with instructions. You saved me an aneurysm. Great instruction.
I made this fit my 2 door jk. Needed to redrill the holes on the mounts and cut the sill frames down 15mm but it worked like a charm. Great looking rack.

this video was a huge help in installing since i had no instructions ......had to do a bit of a modification and slide back (had to drill new holes) about 8" to accomodate and be able to open without hitting the sunrider soft top....hangs over a bit in the back but looks great on the jeep

How did this hold up? Did it leak at hardtop mount points, rub body paint? Looking at one.
Did you have an issue with a gap between the hardtop and jeep body? We are installing now and have a gap on ours.
Not that I know of the rubber under the hard top filled it in.

Did the ladders have a long and a short bracket? do the long ones go in the back?

I would buy it again to be honest. I just sold my JK. They do tend to start rusting a bit but nothing a bit of spray paint can not fix

And i was wondering also, if the mounts that go under the hard top crewte a permanent gap between the hard top and body of the jeep.
Hey man. I am not using it anymore but the rubbers actually sealed very good never had any leaks back there. I would suggest properly painting it though as it, mine wasnt properly coated. And I have seen may others who has had some bad rust on it.
I am strugling trying to install it on my 2 doors. Any tips?
Hi, on a 2door all the steps would be the same. Except the front would be over the freedom panels.
I would say build and bolt down the sides first with the freedom panels removed and hard top loose and then get someone to help you and lift the top part on.

Hi, this is a generic brand and all I vould see on it was that it said south african diamond on the side bars.
Can you mount tent to this rack?
Hi @@ljvrdll I did yes I had Mine mounted on this you just need to drill a few holes in the rack and then your good to go.
My coworker gave me one but I’m not sure if I have to make cut outs in the rear bumper so it’ll mount to the frame
