@@theeastendboy All we seem to get these days is a ‘meh’ or a slight telling off, as if she’s putting a toddler on the naughty step. The Kathy of the 80s and 90s would have been appalled by the way Ian treats those closest to him, especially women. She’d also be appalled at Ben’s endless list of crimes. Sometimes, they get Kathy spot on but a lot of the time, you get the impression that the current set of writers don’t really understand who she is and what she stands for. Almost as if she’s just Ian’s mum and the ‘2015 sensational return from the dead’.
