  • Flanging is produced by mixing two identical signals together. One signal is delayed by a small amount that gradually changes over time. This produces a swept comb filter type effect. Peaks and notches are created as the frequency spectrums of the two signal overlap and either amplify or cancel each other. Varying the time delay causes these to sweep up and down the frequency spectrum. Explore Tape Suite’s LFO-based and manual flanging in action on drums and keyboards.
