Victoria has good vocals and is able to lead on a song as evident here. Her voice lends itself well to rnb and dance music

here to all the people who criticize Victoria, she has one of the most sweet, smooth and beautiful voice I've ever heard! The only one that didn't sing was Geri; the rest of the girls were great and very talented!

She didn't need to. She WAS the Spice Girls. Without her, no girl power, no feminist message, no badass British chicks. She and Victoira actually sing similar harmonies, the mid and deeper range.

She was singing , but only in the harmony and her voice is not obvious ，You can only hear her voice a little more when they sings "wannabe" , She always sings the low different tone in the harmony of this song (in the chorus part) . PS : The last part "taking is too easy but that,s the way it is" . You can hear Ginger voice in different tone more clearly .
Wonder why this wasn't released
Their Producers and media destroyed Victoria's confidence towards her vocal abilities... she wasn't a huge skilled singer...Just as none of the other girls were, apart from Mel C, Mel B and maybe Emma who were average (emma had lot's of difficulties during live performances and with low tones), but Victoria had potencial and it was torned apart. Unfortunately she just accepted it as truth and went on.
Agreed, its a shame cause a lot of Victorias released and unreleased solo work is pretty good, she had potential to have some success as a solo singer

They were originally called Spice and had to change it because another group had the name, as I recall
They were originally called 'Touch' then changed it to 'Spice'. But apparently people kept asking them in the early days "are you those 'spice' girls?" and they (or really 19 Management) thought that sounded catchier.
