Mine start tomorrow 😭😭😭
@@k.9528 wishing the best for them!!
@@NoumanSami thank you!
Hi, a bit out of context, but I have recently decided to the level 2 further maths gcse. Is it worth doing?
@@michaelswahla4927 it helps a lot if you do maths a level, or even fm a level, I’d say if you find maths easy enough this should be just as fine
I agree I found the mocks way more scary than the actual GCSE's. For any yr 11s my biggest tip would be to find out what revision technique works for you. For me flash cards weren't that useful and I much preferred doing past paper questions. For English and other essay subjects read grade 9 answers as this will help you understand what you need to include in your answers. Don't stress yourself with doing too much revision, it's good to take breaks and finally don't revise content you already know! Hope this helps :)
grade 9 answers were a godsend for english, thanks for the tips!!
@@NoumanSami yeah. Im in year 11 right now and analysing the model answers really helped me jump multiple grades.
@@constantinoplepasha5332 where do u get those model answers from?
@@NoumanSami where do you get those model answers from
@@justsomeone5660 well I used Mr Salles’s grade 9 answer analysis video on Macbeth because he explains things but there are also other youtubers and Examiners’ Report which show answers and what level they are so you can find top level answers
Doing my mocks after doing a total of 2 hours revision since the start of year 10. Going to have so much *_fun_*
ummm well good luck anyways, at least it isn't the real thing
i have done like 20 minutes bro and i need to get all grade 5's and above somehow
omg your videos have saved my revision so far! my mocks are in 3-4 weeks so rn i'm just finishing mindmaps and anki flashcards so i can dedicate the last full week to past papers. if i pass my mocks (hopefully) it's all because of you! 💗💗💗💗
aww thanks so much!! Remember that you passing your mocks is all based on your own efforts and hard work, all I've done is just nudge you in the right direction
How did they go?
I've been using flashcards since year 10 but with these mock over found out that Mind maps are very helpful too. Your videos are amazing.
Thank you
Oh nice! Wishing the best for your GCSEs!
@@NoumanSami thank you
I've got my mock exams now
thank you so much! My Y11 mocks start next week- wish me luck
No problem, and best of luck with your mocks!
Thanks for this nouman! For maths how did you prepare for your mocks and for geography and science?
Np!
For maths, I just simple did topic based questions on topics I found tricky and that was pretty much it.
For geography, I just went over my flashcards and did lots of practise questions as well.
For sciences, same thing, flashcards and then exam question practise.
Thanks for the great videos
No problem!
Thanks this video was really helpful also in english lit could u tell me how many quotes would u need for each character in aic for example and how much for each theme so i can know how much to use in my mocks
Np! Well, the amount of quotations you need is entirely up to how many you can remember, but for AIC specifically (I have a document of all the quotations i learnt in the description) I had 2 quotations for every character on every theme, so in total about like 40 quotes. But it completely depends tbh how much you need to learn, it's more important to be able to analyse the quotations well.
Super helpful :))
Thanks so much!
Hey! So you said you started revising a week before your mocks and my mocks are in a week so i was wondering if you have any advice. I have been revising for 2 weeks but I'm still really stressed especially about the huge amount of content. Thank you so much!
Start identifying your weak points in every subject and start targeting those. Obviously you don’t have time to make Flashcards or anything like that so I recommend watching as many videos to learn the content, and try and do as many questions as you can, that way you can see if you’ve retained the information or not. Even though I didn’t start revising until a week before my mocks, I had been constantly making and reviewing my Flashcards over the course of the year. And even if you don’t do as well as you wanted, use it as a means of improvement
@@NoumanSami Thank you so much! I also have been revising content since the summer but it was very relaxed hopefully that gives me a bit of a boost for my mocks
like what on, so i can practice it as a major focus of my revision
Do you recommend choosing an EPQ for a levels if u wanna do medincine and are doing 3 a levels?
Hi, so I am not entirely qualified to speak about EPQs tbh, but if you think you can cope with the workload, I don't see why not, an EPQ can show that you are interested in the course, but it isn't by any means compulsory, hope that somewhat helps, I am planning on making uni-related videos in the future.
Hi, I have year 11 mocks in 2 weeks, and I do have a lot of content to go over as it is overwhelming. Are these mocks super important, and if you fail them is it really bad, because I am getting kind of nervous. Thank you so much if you reply. It would be good if you could tell me some tips too.
Don't stress, you still have lots of time, if you struggle in knowing what to start with, make yourself a revision plan where each day you do a certain amount of topics from a couple of subjects, and get them learnt, so by the time exams come around, you would have learnt everything and so all you need to do is practise Qs.
hey. a small request... for my brother can u please make a video on triple science and what you did to achieve ur grade. btw how are u finding ur a levels? chemistry is killing me!!!!!!
Sure! Currently I’m finding them fine, chemistry has been annoying but I’m back to understanding it (but watch in a weeks time I’ll be complaining again)
@@NoumanSami 🤣😅thank you
yo nouman as u took geography for gcse could you tell me the 9 markers that came up as i have it for the mocks
icl i've forgotten everything, i did the paper half a year ago
Where can I find the link for edexcel higher maths 2021 may exam paper. I want to download for practice
I don’t think it’s available yet, I’m assuming it will be released publicly later on
Hey nouman last exam tmrw and its physics paper 1 have you got any last min tips for me
Best of luck!! My advice is just to not waste the time you have to check over your work, I still find checking my work sooo boring but it’s an essential part of doing well
Currenly I am revising 2 hours a day, 1 hour on a subject and 1 hour on the other is this enough revision? and should I spend another hour on reviewing what I have learnt?
For now 2 hours is sufficient, maybe push it to 3 in the next week or so
hi I got last mock toworew gerpahy paper 2
Good luck!!
Hi, didn't you find it hard to revise all the content a week before exams?
I knew most of the content anyways, because I had been regularly reviewing my flashcards over the course of the year so it was more of a case of just brushing up on anything I still didn't understand and just doing practise questions
hi how many times would you recommend me to revise my content
if the content is difficult, revise it more frequently, but if it's something you're comfortable with, do it every once in a while
got my mocks in a months i have motivation but cant execute it with my laziness
start small then work your way up
I have a chance now
loll
its eleven pm right now and i have maths paper 3 tomorrow help
How was it??
Did my first mock today😭
How was it??
Waiting for a “Watch this if you have A-Level Mocks soon” 😭 😂
Idk if I’ll be making one anytime soon, I don’t have mocks or at least I haven’t been informed of any
Yup make a new one
I will very soon
you dont know real time management till you've done the ucat
ahh I don't wanna know :((
i've got my mocks tmr, how did u revise french for u mocks?
well it depends on what french paper, for listening and reading, I did lots of questions and went over as much vocab as possible, for writing I learnt lots of key phrases that would help boost my french writing and for speaking, I just asked my friends to test me until i was confident. Good luck with your mocks!!
@@NoumanSami Cheers, also out of curiosity - what uni do u want to go to and what do u want to do? Oxbridge?
@@tomoldaker1268 I haven’t researched much into unis but I’m planning on doing medicine
