- Traditional dances from Sierra Leone at the British Museum in London. Let's travel to London and to the British Museum where we will enjoy traditional dancing from Sierra Leone in Africa. Here is Sierra Leone Masquerade dancing celebrations at the British Museum in London.
Sierra Leone is a country in West Africa, on the Atlantic Ocean. It’s known for the white-sand beaches lining the Freetown Peninsula. The capital city, Freetown, commemorates the nation’s slave-trade history with the Cotton Tree landmark and King’s Yard Gate. Both were known as places of refuge for returned slaves in the 18th and 19th centuries. Nearby Bunce Island was a key departure point during the slave trade.
The British Museum, in the Bloomsbury area of London, United Kingdom, is a public institution dedicated to human history, art and culture. Its permanent collection of some eight million works is among the largest and most comprehensive in existence, having been widely sourced during the era of the British Empire.

Thank you for your comments!
well, it's just a taste... to see the real thing, you need to see the societies in action live in Sierra Leone... They don't allow people filming when that happens though... (Or at least I was told never to film or be spotted with a camera when the societies where coming past in Port Loko. Or they will drag you kicking n screaming to initiate you...)

The only way to see this is to go there and take risks.
Am not impress the real cultural artist can do more where are they from ?or are the British Sierra Leoneans?
