Almost worked for me. Went through but still asks for email. Tried resetting when In the settings.. you're awesome finding a way in. And it obviously worked for others.. kudos my man.
You gotta hard reset one more time after changing the password, then it’ll give you another chance to put it in and it should work

thanks it works for me after i follow steps i did a factory reset because when i try the last step you explain it say google account error. but after factory reset i use the 12345 code and get to home screen. thanks. great job!

I encounter an issue when I hit the screen pinning section, my phone has it labeled as app pinning, but the issue is it wont let me engage thre "Lock device when unpinning" option, thus preventing me from moving on to the fingerprint and security section....what would I do in that instance

Hey, so it worked on one phone, but not a second one I'm trying. Instead of screen pinning , it says app pinning. It lets me turn it on, but it doesn't let me do the step right after. The"lock device when unpinning" button, won't turn on so I can go to the next step.

with the new security, just create the unlock pattern and then do a factory reset from the recovery, when it turns on configure normal, enter the pin or pattern and you can skip the google account.
