I wanted to throw in a few extra songs to our medley song madness event, so I chose a couple of songs that placed #1 in the Patreon ballots, but not in the public ballots, those being Captain Falcon from the GameCube medley and this song, Someday from the DS Medley.
We gave Someday a thrash/pop-punk spin for this arrangement.

Dear god this is surreal man. I don’t know what black magic was necessary for this to happen but I’m glad it did. I managed to snag the Tier 7 patreon reward right before the DS Medley submissions opened up and I was very fortunate to lock in Someday without contention. Why that’s surreal is because this is by and far my favorite video game song ever, and it has been ever since I first heard it. This game means too much for me to ever really even express, and by extension this song does too. The fact it pulled through on the DS vote made my entire year. Jonny, Lacey, you two absolutely killed it. I can’t believe this cover actually exists. I can’t thank you two enough. It’s perfect. Sending as much love as I can to both of ya!

What an amazing time to be replaying this glorious masterpiece. Hands down the best song of this game imo, story-wise it plays in the perfect moments, so it holds a lot of raw power.
I never played The World Ends With You, heard a lot of good things about it, might check it out one of these days.
