  • In this video I go over the features of the Pursuit Platform which is designed for use with a tree saddle. The platform is the lightest the industry has ever seen and provides great ability to position around the tree. This model is a 3D printed prototype and the production model will be a fiberglass reinforced nylon. You can order the Pursuit Platform on their website: pursuitplatforms.com

Leaving the blooper and torture testing in the video let's us know you're not afraid to show us the good and the bad. Seems like a decent product at a good price point.

Have a model with just the 15 degree angle and that is going to get my money all day!

I wonder, if when you place it on your back for carrying in and out, the attachment for the four 1" sticks was on the top of the platform, would the sticks then be more secure held with the platform (since gravity would also be holding them in rather than pulling them from the clips).

Which do you like better, the EWO UP or this? I’m looking for a good one stick set up.

The OCB buckle is the same that I use on my ROS so, that could happen with many problems. On that platform, you might be able to position the OCB buck within the hollow of the platform which I guess my protect you from that problem.

Nice wish it had wings for push off. But nice pair with some steps. Winner

I was thinking same thing. Put a step on either side of it and you've got a nice setup.

How much do you weigh spencer ?

Spencer, yet another solid review. I was sold on this when I saw it and the great pre-order price. Have you considered using a full length rappel line and an assisted break device (safeguard, gri-gri) instead of a tether and rope man/duck incase something like your SNAFU happens 20ft up?

I've always wanted to use a rappel line and gri-gri but most trees I hunt here in NJ are not hardwoods with no limbs. Lots of cedars and oaks here just no way to drop the line after rappelling

Is it possible for 2 of those to be secured with 1 strap? For $200 you could step all the way around the tree. Oversized ring of steps.

Very good job of helping me decide NOT to purchase one of these platforms.
