Sorry for the lack of videos guys but I've been working on some awesome builds for the new upcoming series and have so many new build tutorials on the way, including a new church and castle which are one of my favourite builds I've ever done and can't wait to show you all what I've been working on. What video do you want to see next ? =)
I don’t any lack🙀you joking right 😐already so much you doing and for me my dally life busy with works😕like many key_worker even lock down still go to work 🥴😅 all you building I might copy only 40% 😂long way to go🤪even just copy still take long house 😂 .So do not too worried ✌️🤗you doing good job 👍🏼✌️
no worries man. take your time! 👍
Anything you choose man I have faith that you’ll post something I love🤙🏼
I'd like to see about the tips and all to make a ship cause I really really struggle with it and it ends up being a failure =( so I could really use some pro tips to build a ship. Please can you make a video about that??? (edit I spelled a word wrong so I corrected it)
I'd love to see the castle video, I want to start building my very own one soon
4:20 Now, you don't want just a bunch of town houses. You want to add some theme. Plan some highstreet or shops.
*Builds a gallows*
LMAO
LOL
420 nice
I’m glad someone else saw this😭
exactly what I thought, too! xD
Personally, I prefer to use Coarse dirt and path blocks for paths rather than stone. It’s more colourful and I like to only use stone in certain areas to show wealth.
I do the same with the whole wealth poor gradient-like village. I use a bunch of Different paths from brick colored to wood to stone and even made a green one look good recently
I use Praha because I only use blocks when I make Italian towns, I hate using stone with medival towns
Same with glass. Use fences for windows in low income towns, trapdoors is higher class towns and glass in very wealthy builds
Yeah I used deepslate to start off with. It's just too Urgh and cobblestone is too 2007. Honestly dirt mixed with stripped log might work... Urgh roads are my least favourite
I like the sound of gravel when you walk on it, which is why I've previously made all my paths out of that. Feeling torn now, because these look so good. 😅
These videos always make me feel like: yeah I can do this.
But it's actually very hard to create such a complete feeling to your builds. So props to this guy 😊
Lol same! My toxic trait is thinking I could do this sort of thing too but this is just next level talent
I don't want my builds to feel complete, I want to always be growing them
You're so talented, a huge inspiration!
Thank you so much Gorillo, I love building towns like this they are so much fun but very time consuming, lol.
I love both of your vids!
Gorillo + BlueNerd, the best builders in the world !
@@BlueNerdMC im really so trash at building medival houses, because, i always don't make medival roofs to good and does not have a lot of detailing this is the only thing i get sad about this while building medival houses😭😭😭😭😥😥😥😥😥😭😥😥😭😥😥
Blue, this is exactly what I needed, thank you. I'd love a few tips on things like spacings for roading, rough dimensions for various house types or shop types, so when I'm marking out builds I can think "hey I could put a park here, a church there...IDK, just ideas for the kinds of things you do - this video was really cool and got my thoughts kicked up a notch :)
Something I do in my cities is make a to-do list with all the types of buildings I want to make. It helps me both with world building and stylistic choices. Plus, it’s so nice to check off boxes when you finally finish something! I also like to leave detailing until last because it’s my favorite part (like adding highlights to drawings). I really like seeing everything come together at the end.
I did this with my underground city. All that's left is the mall and I'm done.
The way you are able to blend the buildings up a curved path at alternating heights is insane to me. Building at different elevations and making it flow is such a struggle for me, but you make it look so effortless. Love your videos 👍
I cant wait to build my city with these tips
Amazing talent. The use of leaves is great. Most people just spam leaves in weird spots that don't make sense but I love how you incorporate them
Hey blue! One thing I struggle the most with is trees and incorporating it into my cities. Could u do a tutorial on how u go about building ur trees and ur thought process when building them into ur cities?
Tree's can be tough to work with but i'm planning a video that should help make the process much easier. I've been working on some designs that look great and are easier to follow step by step. The video will be coming out soon =)
Ask fwhip this is stolen work
@@richardstrait3723 Wow such a bold statement!
@@richardstrait3723 Dude you need try looking before accusing, this is nothing like anything fWhip built. I even have a time laspe on my channel of me building it. Get you facts rights before you start spreading lies.
@@ender0998 he obviously didn't look at the build, I built this as a timelapse for my 300k subs special. It looks nothing like fWhips city other than the fact that it's medieval
1) Make a new custom tree tutorial :)))
2) How do you keep inspiration flowing? I find every time I start a new Minecraft world I get all the early game stuff and some into the late game and I start plans for mega builds I NEVER END UP FINISHING THE MEGA BUILDS. I swear I’ve started like 10 worlds and had this same thing happen every time!
To answer question 2, just... don't start a new world lol. Stick with your projects
Awesome video Blue
Thank you so much Fran, I must say I've been very impressed with the builds you've shared on Discord and I can see how much you've improved. Keep up the great work =)
Love the video mate, me and my friend are currently working through the castle build and and the tutorial is very detailed thanks a lot
OMG Blue!… This City is soooo amazing ! Every block is placed with so much care, attention and creativity… You are an artist!!!
Thank you bluenerd! These tips really helped with the town around my custom castle. I have been struggling to find a good layout for the town for quite some time and this video has given me a good idea where to build everything. Thanks again.
For most towns, think in terms of wealth as well. Important buildings (banks, castles, churches, etc) are going to be bigger/more protected/slightly separated) in terms of footprint AND in terms of nearby houses. The wealthy pay for comfort and convenience
Edit: this goes for roads too. Wealthier places have nicer roads (stone for example) while poorer places have worse roads (like dirt/mud)
ive been watching alot of building content lately, yours is by far some of the best and most helpful and inspiring for me. I love that you have shown us the pallets clearly to see, something i struggle with hard is the pallets. Quality of vids will always outshine the quantity, this video was really well done and im sure can be used for all of minecrafts lifespan. Keep it up :)
IM SO IN LOVE WITH YOUR HELPFUL VIDEOS AND BUILDSTYLES!!!! Lol thank you so so much!!! It would be incredible seeing you collab with grian, scar or pearl or keralis!!! Y’all are all INCREDIBLE builders my friend!!! Thank you so much for the helpful tips and tricks!!! Love them!!!
This is really good timing. I’ve been working on my own castle/city. This gave some really good pointers about what I should add. Thanks!
That is amazing, well done blue thank you for this I going to use your tips to help me with mine.
awesome overview of what to think about while designing a large town.
I've wanted to do one for years and with my current set of industrial & tech mods I think now is the time.
We would love to see your whole town tutorial one day. It's so inspiring and so good.
Hats off to your work
Keep going 👍👍❤️❤️
I agree !!
WOW!
I am so fascinated with this video. It really looks like an organic and functional town of the 1700s.
I run your building tips and tricks videos in the background while I play. Your build aesthetic is beautiful and has been a heavy influence for me. Thank you for the amazing videos.
Very helpful thankyou ! And wow what a town that is. Seen some pretty good builds over the years but this one has top spot by a mile ! Impressive. The details are beyond anythin ive ever seen
Hey blue. Currently planning out a city build on a survival server. Thanks for all the tips and inspiration!
I would kill for a tutorial on that castle town...it's incredible!
This is so beautiful and strangely realistic! You are very talented, props to you man!
You are awesome Blue! Love to watch your videos !
I e been looking for so mich city inspo and you come through every single time, subbing rn
This was super helpful! Thank you so much!
Really nice and helpful video! I'll sure to keep the tips in mind to create my own medieval port, keep it up!
I always come back to BlueNerd when my inspiration levels are drying up. Somehow always seems to invigorate me. Thanks so much bro. Much love 😁♥♥♥
This is 100% my favourite build of yours :D
Interesting. A screenshot of your docks and port area inspired much of my capital city’s port. Specifically the pillared retaining walls topped by slabwork.
Definitely got some inspiration from this, Thank you ^^
Even though I can't stand the diagonal slanted builds in large numbers, you're one of the biggest inspirations for my Minecraft world's expanded builds.
Amazing guide with examples thank you
thank you for the info! will be using this on my world for sure
Yay!! Great video to wake up to xx good morning from Melbourne Australia
Love watching you build all of this by hand and not using WorldEdit ! Gained a sub !
Wow! You are incredible. Thanks for making this content!
I've been wanting to start a new island town project of my own. I found a great seed online that spawns me on a 400 x 400 block island that would work great for an island town. Recently I've been driving myself crazy just thinking about how I even lay out this town because I want the buildings more spread out and on different terrain levels as you mentioned. I'm playing on a single-player world and want to include villagers and don't want them lagging my game. So this was very very helpful with helping me make these decisions. Thank you BlueNerd, this is why I subscribed to you. For the inspiration to make great things! :)
Whats the seed and for what version is it?
What’s the seed?
@@owenflamm6118 The name of the seed is "Eeveelutions" for 1.12.2
Really great stuff! I have had a challenge with chimneys in my towns... I like having them lit, and they all seem to look too similar. Love your solutions.

Very beautiful buildings it is difficult to imagine how much time could be spent on them. WoW
Thanks. It helps me so mutch 😁
Love this, planning to build off a mountain next to the ocean with z water inlet to the mainland. Planning to do it in survival, adds a challenge, but it’s going to be fun!
I must say u are a rly a good channel from i learn some rly nice things, i never made a real layout for my builds but i do it now, i build the big Tavern from your channel but in survival through this process i rly learn a lot
this is going straight to the build inspo playlist :)
Wow! This was really helpful, the town you've built is absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much 🌿💘
Also, I really like how smooth your movements are. Many videos move around so frantically that it gives me a headache!
So I found your account like 16 minutes ago, and I love it 😍 I'm very inspired because of the tips and buildings
Lots of inspiration here for the survival realm!
This is such an underated chanel
Keep it going mate
I’m on AppleCraft starting a town like this and your video is going to be a huge help!
Thank you 🙏🏼
I building a town in Minecraft and these tips helped me a lot! Thanks!
builds like this make me feel like my skills are lacking. but thats why we watch this videos! keep up the good work and i hope i can apply some of these tips to the server im having to build
How’s your server going?
Wow i have exactly waiting for this
Thank you very much good sir, you really gave me something to think about.
I'm starting my first every city with a castle on survival. So far just about every video if watched has been made buy you so thanks heaps bro
I've been watching you for a year or so. I've built most of your builds. An entire dock and the castle. Swamps farms and so much more. I recently decided to start a new docks with more a 1.18 caves n cliffs area and this Info helps so much. Thank you blue for all of your content and what you have done for the Minecraft community. Your an absolutely amazing builder!!!
Beautiful work, especially the roads and pathways. 💕🧜🏽♀️
Hey blue! Love your videos
I was wondering if you had any tips or tutorials for planning or spacing things out, especially when youre working with other players? We are in a server and what we want to do with our town is set aside an area for players to live in, but the players will make their own houses and make it look how they want (while trying to match the general theme and scheme of the town).
My builds tend to be too symmetrical and boring. Your town is amazing! I would like to be able to build as well as you. Thanks for the tips!
Blue . You re so inspiring and knowledgeable and I really apreciate this type of video where you explain things ...maybe even sharing some of your secrets. This tells me you are a great person in real life as well . Some day I hope to be ab)e to put out work like yours . Thank you so much for your help and your ever-growing dedication to minecaft and this channel
I must say your channel was the best to improve my skills for example i build the Tavern from your channel, i thought at first "nah...i just build it and it's done" but i never expect that i learn more about, detailing, how to use and choose the Space of the House and specially the Rooms how i prevent to have just a flat area with so much unused space, or even basic layouts, and so much more and the fact i build it in survival i also know that i hate it to run for materials like concrete, right know with all these lessons i rebuild my Survival base and i see the struggle between, how did i make it look good and how did my make it survival friendly and when i compare it to the tavern i have not so much small spaces i design it a little bit chunky but im proud that I'm able to use all the skills, i must say when i hear something like "oh when u just copy a build u dont learn something" well..i must say it's totally wong, thank u for your whole Work on this channel
One of the most amazing town builds I have ever seen
This helped me so much while building a city in my friends earth SMP
Exceptional building skills Sir! You really do have a knack for this. I’ll save this video to keep referring back to it for inspiration. Greetings from Cornwall!
its so daunting trying to figure out where to start even with all these tips
Not only are these tips good but the buildings are a great inspiration and help when building my world.
Such an epic build
Talking about having a shopping area while casually building a gallows..... Honestly though, these are some really great tips and ideas!! Thanks so much for sharing
Thanks I needed a lot of inspiration
Thnx for the tips bro
I don't know what to say... I'm blown away! It looks so warm and welcome that I want to move in! 🥺❤️
I could live in this town. I've watched nerds videos on repeat, and I always spot new things. I love Sir BlueNerds builds.
I’ve found some amazing land recently perfect for a city but I didn’t even know where to start so this is Verry helpful
Youre like the best Teacher I never had, but in Minecraft
amazing video! thanks a lot for the inspiration ! What shader are you using ? I love how the glass are cut looking foward to build with this.
Thanks :)
Another video from one of the best builders ❤️ keep it up
this city looks absolutely amazing.
Please! Make more videos walking around. That's amazing!!!
Your builds inspire me to make my own. I’ve never copied one of your builds block for block because I don’t think it’s fair to build something that other people have worked so hard on, making people assume I did it. I have a request for you. Do you think at some point you could make a medieval village like this in a vanilla seed? It would be so cool to see since I’m a bedrock player. Keep up the awesome work, dude!
Another masterpiece, I love this town so much. Your attention for the small details are incredible, nothing feels repetitive as we tour through. So much inspiration comes from watching your content. Can't wait to see what's next! Thank you Blue for the valuable tips you share, they are extremely helpful. :)
This is exactly why I subscribed :)
This is amazing. You are amazing.
love this dude WOW
I'm not sure if he said this in the video, but merging two buildings together makes a good build sometimes. This usually happens when I don't really have a plan and I just build, but having two buildings separated by some pretty but not over the top focal piece, like stairs or alleyway, makes the build much more interesting to be in after its been built. Just my opinion. Great tips from this video.
thankyou for you tips~
OMG it's so beautiful ! Congratulations !
I'm trying to build a big city inside an about 200x100 large stone brick wall with towers on the corners with a castle at the end in survival but i also want this to have purposes like farms and stuff but I'm wondering if it's worth to plan stuff and where everything will go or just do it? thanks for the video it helped a lot
Thank you
Always such amazing builds blue
You're amazing brother!
Amazing build by the way
Took me far too long to sub to your beautiful content and charming personality.
Shame on me for that.
Your castles and cities are a work of wonders and your style to explain, showcase and edit are really great. Thank you so much for All the hard work.
Best wishes and nice greetings from germany to you. ^^
My son FINALLY talked me into starting my Minecraft life. Your videos are so helpful. Thank you! Now I can't stop building. lol
My husband and I build in minecraft together. He wanted to start this build. Your builds are amazing. This will keep us busy for a while.
