Thanks for all the replies. Just got back from Tel Aviv yesterday. One of the best places I have visited. Took a trip out to Jersalem also. Was a stunning place well worth visiting. Will definitely go back.

tel aviv is so nice and i love it. but arab city of the dubai is way better. rich lives, great palaces, hotels covered with gold. its a must see city. but tel aviv is nice too and i want to see it
well first i was just expressing my feelings about the beauty of the city regardless its name or location or who it does belong to and am really not into aruging about politics here or who is brainwashed because i listen to all kind of media world wide not just arabs and if we have some brainwashed, you too get brainwashed by your media so its not really the point to argue about here :) i just love this city and how it looks, hope you keep it up this way and construct all modern cities this way.
You do make a good point. Both cities are major commercial and industrial hubs in the region, but Dubai has an international port and Tel Aviv doesn't.

best time to visit tel aviv would be around 2012 because the light rail easy train and subways are now under construction(in haifa tel aviv and jerusalem) and in 2012 all supertall projects will be up already so skyline will be better!

Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan (only the border buildings near Tel Aviv are shown) have been around for 100 years and look how developed they are, full of people making a living and trading with the world. The West Bank and Gaza have nothing like this. Yafo is part of Tel Aviv and has a number of neighborhoods. The poorest one is the Arab residential section. The nicest parts of Yafo are the tourist and artist colony area. Yafo employs Arabs and Jews.
