- I'm working on an Ice Road Plow Trailer, but wanted to try out the 10x10x10 Semi-truck and powered trailer combo in some fresh powder with the V-Plow. Powered with 6 powerful sensored motors, quad transmissions and so much more. I could use some tire chains, and I'm currently working on that but have otherwise we have great traction. This truck has been transforming for years! Working Exhaust, Winch, Steel V-Blade, Sound Kit, Lights, 10 Wheel Power, 10 Wheel Steering.

The detail you have built in that is incredible. It’s got to be hundreds of hours. You never cease to amaze me. You just blow my mind.!!! I am trying not to gosh. But it’s just beautiful. And it all works so well. You should be proud of yourself. I just love this hobby there’s no end to one’s imagination.!!!

Not saying there’s not some quality entertainment, but the pool is much thinner than the amount of another review.

I am a 60 year old grandpa of seven. Just got into the hobby two years ago and having the time of my life and met some amazing people. My advice is don’t watch the news. Just get out there and do something fun with friends and family . So rewarding.
@@TheRealRCSparksin Michigan our plow trucks we have a blade under the middle of the truck and one that folds down and up on the side to store it. You might be able to look them up online and see what I mean but it could possibly work for your trailer.

In Utah our trailer plows have the blade that roll up and down. They don't go out. The wheels on the trailer turn and kick the trailer out. I've thought about doing this. Where Optimus' trailer both steers and drives you only have to drop and raise your blade. Also paint the plow with a heavy enamel and even less will stick. My plow is, like yours to be on the trailer, pvc and the snow doesn't stick NEARLY as much. Also look into spring loading your plow.
I've seen this truck from the beginning and the changes through the years. What a amazing machine. It keeps getting better everytime.👍

Always like watching Optimus....SO COOL!!!! B4 you run out in cold with snow, put your R/C outside 60 minutes early if possible, R/C gets cold and snow doesn't stick to it, it Definitely works 💯
The plow is nice but the smoke kit is awesome. Nothing like real smoke to complete the realistic look

That snow looks fairly heavy so the truck, plow combow are working really well considering the conditions.

And for the trailer plow you will need a plate on top of your trailer to lift .and the bottom I'm sure you can find something. Lol have fun playing with your rc .please try to make more video I like them all.
Now thats what im talking about! Awesome job on the V plow, it worked perfectly. I believe the wing blade on our highway plows are winch run on one end and has a hydraulic cylinder on the front to lift it. Cheers

Snowboardwax on de blade makes them the most slippery surface. No snow will stick anymore.
That is way cool! Your videos are very inspirational! I thought of trying to use a computer cooling fan as a salt spreader on one of my dump trucks. Or one of my dozens of little motors with a propeller.

That's an awesome plow. Looks like maybe it could be a few ounces heavier, and maybe need a bit of an edge smoothing, but I'm not an expert. Lol

Im drink hopefully this makes sense...
Maybe for rear side of the plow, connect it to the trailer via a pole with pivot points on each end.
Then mount another winch above the pole trailer pivot, above & offset. Enough so pulling, lifts the plow up. Design a bump stop for the pole, and then some sorta locking feature (unless winch owns)

Well Big V’s are usually for breaking trail or is the head. Then the rig behind you is a scoop throwing the snow off the road. I love the graders they can do some crazy shit.

You can add a salt spreader to the back of the tank... I am using an old mixer bowl with a lever to.open close and mechanics to spread the salt 💡💡😁😁😁

For the tow plow, all of the full size ones that I see are winch operated, and the blade itself just rotates or pivots from the center line of the trailer bed, on Spring softened hinges. The plow does need weight though, even the full size ones have to have weights on the back of the plow blade, otherwise they just bounce really badly.
Trailer plow on a leaf spring that is always trying to push it out and use a winch on the tip to drag it in and have a slide at the last portion that will lift it slightly as it is coming into the trailer

Rear plow ⬆️ ⬇️ take a 380 or 540 motor on a reduction gear drive attached the shaft end to a pulley wheel etc with two holes adjacent to each other. From there use a cable from each hole, route that to the top of each rear blade. When motor turns one way it lifts other way it lowers. Look at the contraption like a weed eater head assembly.
Ps due to the weight of the rear pvc plow. You might need to add additional weight to the end of blade to get it to press down firmly to base of snow to get started for plowing

Real tow plows the rear does not steer, it's an extra complication. The trailer wheels will steer and kick itself out. They usually have liquid weight like DLA in them to help them from bouncing or riding above the snow. Neat idea though. Dont think I've ever seen an RC tow plow.

You should put a hinge on the V plow right in the middle so you can independently run both sides of the plow or even making it a straight or a V plow.

I watched it work, but I'm still in disbelief!! I thought for sure it wouldn't work.
Also, turn your vblade into one that can adjust at the point. Hinge it in the middle so you can do left straight, right straight, v plow or reverse v plow. If anyone can fab that out of scratch I'll bet you can. I'm in the process of figuring it out myself.
What an amazing build my friend! The sound and the smoke off the stacks is too cool! I think the ABS pipe is a good light weight choice for a makeshift side blade too. #1 top notch project!
you ever try wrapping the axles in solder to get some more weight on the wheels? it would help it push but in terms of scale its pushing at the limit of what a full size truck can push. I made a plow for my trx6 build but its been a crazy warm december this year in the mid 60s today when normally this time of year its sub 30s
Could use a hydraulic system with rams like the Volvo dump truck has, those should be strong enough and long enough and would allow you to change the width on the fly

Plow trailer would need a brick or something for weight. (Weight doesn't scale linearly because math) @rctestflight has a bulldozer video that explains the "why" really well.
try a ceramic coating for the plow, or pl100
You need to do a heated blade, not too hard just some engineering req
Get a air piston and make it look like a tube for water
If you wax your plow with a paste wax for cars the snow won’t stick and pile up on the blade
now you need a trailer mechanism to collect the snow roll it into balls and launch it.

Put a two way plow on the truck and a wing plow and on the real towplows they have a hydraulic ram that pics it up and down on the front of that is a block the has a center bolt and a pivot point
