Rhonda bought into her own hype, and the MMA world and public are somehow turning the volume up on the hype after she got flatlined against Holm. I get that she pioneered a division. So did Demetrious Johnson. I get that she was dominant for a while, so was Jose Aldo. The minute she faced a competent striker, and not the usual soccer mom that she was facing, she didn't have a good hard fought loss- she got beat to death. Somehow, that is all overlooked, and she is said to be the biggest star in the history of the sports world, which tells me how stupid people have become. I hope she does strike, just so I can watch the denial train gear up again.

It's never been an issue with Ronda Rousey's fighting skills, it's about her heart or the lack of it. She can't seem to overcome adversity like a champion, she just folds up and gets all squishy. It took me a long time to get on the Rowdy Ronda Rousey bandwagon but when I did I hoped she would meet a fighter that could test her. Well, she met a fighter that tested her and she failed, not because she lost the fight, but because she went into the fight acting like a punk and got her soul beat and then collapsed completely. If she ever does make a comeback please gain a little class and grace.

I love her style and I'm a fan. that being said, she does have holes that she needs to work on. I hope she sticks around as the competition is stiff. I'm just saying that Travis Browne was once an up and coming HW with a great fighting style and now I don't think many people are interested in watching him fight. Ellenberger is probably the best example, hasn't even come close to being as fierce as the old juggernaut.
Nunes is going to get armbared in the first round. No the division has not magically gotten better in one year. The only thing that happened was that Rousey lost to a fighter that is designed to beat her. Nunes will lose fairly early, remember this post when you see it happen. This is the perfect match for Rousey stylistically.

I'm reading all the negative ones here. I did 13 years of MMA, I'm old and broken, a "has been" that never really was. However, I understand the game, from training to the "Champions Mentality" (which 95% of people do not comprehend AT ALL). Ronda is one of the (if not THE) best lbs for lbs fighters I have seen in nearly a decade, maybe longer. I will say this and stand by it to my last breath,...if you think Rousey is down and out...you do not understand MMA, this war is just beginning. I told a friend the other day, "Rousey is the most technically proficient fighter I have ever seen, she is Mozart in blood-major". Scoff if you will, but a predator knows predators and prey alike and this fighter is Beauty Bathed in the Blood of her Prey.
