    The soundtracks of all three games are excellent. This is my favourite piece from the trilogy, it's so sad, reflective and mysterious.

    I think this entire game trilogy was severely underrated. Not only did the games have great graphics which peaked with DotD, but the MUSIC... Perfect ambience!

    Anyone else notice that the title names, New Beginning, Eternal Night and Dawn of the Dragon goes from Gold, to Silver, to Bronze? It's as if as the story got darker, hope is becoming more lost in the darkness.
    This entire series is my childhood.
    I started with a New Beginning as a 6 year old. It was amazing for me, and why I loved Dragons today.
    7, I got the Eternal Night. Good difficulty spike... But my over half my age(I'm 15) somehow did it. I swear I grew demonic when I got Dark Spyro as an unlockable with his super death beam.
    Then with 8, came Dawn of the Dragon. You had no idea how much I loved Cynder as a Playable. She was just so appealing as a character to me. Even during the series, where I was scared of her as 6, liking her as 7, and loved her as the character she is at 8 during the dark, dark story. I have replayed the series many times, often speed running through them, and I have never, ever realized how scary and dark the story is.
    The entire series is just beautiful.

      Childhood? Heheh... Boy, you want to talk about childhood and Spyro, try playing the original Spyro for the PS1, all the way up to The Legend Series, and see what it's like to have your favorite character descend into real "darkness."
      That "darkness" was being completely forgotten through Skylanders. Spyro was the one of the most well known mascots for the Playstation, and those developers turned him into a worthless background character, while also ditching Sparx.

    • @yukidraco4821
      @yukidraco4821 Před 7 lety +2

      This is just me talking about my own childhood, the Legend of Spyro series.
      The PS1 Spyro wasn't a part of my childhood so I won't talk about it (Childhood + Spyro does not = PS1 Spyro. Mine is with the LoS series and always will be.)
      I just love the series I grew up with because those were the games I played (including Enter the Dragonfly and even better Heroes' Tail but the LoS was better.).
      And while Spyro was a part of my childhood, he wasn't my favourite character.
      And Skylanders should just be it's own thing without any relevance to the Spyro Franchise itself.
      While you can talk about your childhood of Spyro of the PS1 days, that isn't linked to mine.
      (Also, said Spyro including this one 8 times. Great.)

  • @DPS1194
    @DPS1194 Před 9 lety +37

    This part at 2:40 gets me every time. I can picture Spyro walking up to that platform in the middle of the room, where he faces the manifestation of Cynder in her corrupted form. The ending (3:25), though, is what touches my heart the most.

    • @spacebear6943
      @spacebear6943 Před 9 lety

      Desiree Purnell-Sandi Are you talking about her in the elements form, cause I don't think that was actually Cynder and that she's in a corrupted form. That Cynder was a manifestation of Spyro's fear that he had to defeat in order to meet the Chronocler.

    • @DPS1194
      @DPS1194 Před 9 lety +7

      It was her in her corrupted form. The riddle says "expose your heart to summon ghost, then face alone what you fear most." So, what it meant was that Spyro's heart was to Cynder, and it's what summoned a ghost of the Elemental Dragon that took form of Cynder being under the Dark Master's control, which he feared the most.

    • @spacebear6943
      @spacebear6943 Před 9 lety +5

      Yeah, I understood that. I was saying that the real Cynder was being held captive by Gaul, and that the Cynder that Spyro was fighting was a manifestation of his fear fighting Cynder again but in the elemental forms.

      Sarah Griffiths i also loved the pirate arena even though that battle before the boss was a pain. I really ENJOYED the series. They all felt so unique. I loved the new begining for BEING a there and back again story and This AS a start to finish one. I also loved the well of souls. IT is so creppy. I think of MYSELF AS young when i finally came there after a long playthrough. I just realitet my journey was close. Then the pain ass hard epic FINAL boss came ;-). The ending thou. IT made me cry because ithought IT was over. I thought there had to be a sequel. Me and my brother Waited until the credits came and we almost died when we SAW silouette of Hunter. OUR favorite Character from Heros tail. We knew a new game would come. Dawn of the Dragon endes up to be my favorite game :-) for ITS epic feel. Oh the castle wall

      @@kreachernintendo667 Sorry for my 3 years late reply - only just found your reply now.
      I didn't enjoy the pirate level in this game at all - it was painfully long and difficult.
      As much as I'm a fan of the old Spyro PS1 games, I also really love The Legend of Spyro series. I heard they were going to create a movie about it some years ago but I think it got canceled.

      Skylanders... I grew up playing the classic Spyro and the Legend series, so when I saw what they did to him in Skylanders, I hated Activision a bit. They made him look like a pug, in a way with that short snout. Attack-wise the Skylanders Spyro took more after the classic games, where as the appearance of his normal and dark forms is from the Legend series.

    Oh, I have, believe me! And it's great fun to play a game that challenges me that much. Games that are too easy are kind of boring. But I've managed to get so far that I'm only two or three battles and one Assassin away from Gaul, and Gaul looks fairly easy to beat - and if he isn't, I've watched so many people beat him that I shouldn't have too much of a problem, lol. :D

      I think I remember a couple of years ago, when I was looking up the Celestial Caves music for the nostalgia, someone said that it was in latin. Someone else also said that it was the ending credit song, This Broken Soul. So I decided to go to Google translate and switch the lyrics to This Broken Soul into latin. I was listening to the Celestial Caves music and reading what the translation of This Broken Soul was. Some of it sounded like what was being said and some of it didn't...
