- How to Create Sun catchers with Craft Store Beads.
This video will show how easy It Is to get started with simple selections of what the local Michaels craft stores have available. I realize these are really only worth the price If on sale and definitely take the time to look at the adds!
I spent about $100- Total between both trips.

I hope this video was informative and helps for making the decisions correctly when it comes to sizes. It’s important because understanding the size in mm isn’t always easy to understand. Visual understanding always helps.
I looking forward to showing you many of my creativity & artwork processes and would love to have you come along and see. Subscribe and drop a question or idea to me.

I like Suncatcher! So I do them to!
I watched this video so I could learn the mechanics of putting the suncatcher together and that’s the part you didn’t show. Is there a video where you show what materials to use to string the beads and how you finish it off?
Yes there’s lots more! Some of my other videos break down the basics but I also make sure to focus on “some” of the individual things I’m teaching and not necessarily everything in each video. Please watch a few on my other video you will see exactly how I tie and assemble them.
I was saying the same thing I don’t wanna see made ones. I was trying to learn. I don’t want to be rude. So I won’t say. Just saying who wants to see a made one. People wanna learn not search through a bunch of videos.
@lme30122 sorry for the lack of information I have added a specific link to watch if you wish.

In my videos I try not to be too repetitive and always make sure I’m covering some sort of my process and also encourage people to see other videos as well for other examples. Thanks for watching and I hope to always be improving as I get better at sharing my personal process.
They all beautiful love the one with the heart.
Me too it’s stunning! 🤩
Absolutely beautiful and stunning
Thank you ☺️
Could you please show how you make the loop at the top
If you watch this video of mine it should help you see it better. czcams.com/video/bgbi1SCub4o/video.htmlsi=sVLPeMlKbrvDLzZW
I love this! Where do you get the large crystal ball at the end of the beads? What is it called please? Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this
AJ, what type of tripod do you use? I purchased one recommended on a FB group and it was flimsy and the plastic leg broke. I want to film with my iphone13.
I don’t have any specific one that I use. I actually found mine at the thrift store. It’s easier to know how good it is in person and I would try to find one in person and definitely extend the legs and test the durability. Good luck ☺️👍
@@EverythingAJs Good idea. Thanks. Merry Christmas!
So pretty ❤️🇩🇰
Thank you 😊
Hi beautiful work. Just Curious what is the object of the tube bead sleeve that you put the small crystals in.? Also do you think these are ok to hang outside if using anything metal such as what is used to hang it? Thanks for great Tutorial.
The only reason the tube bead is needed is if you plan to add a charm or hanging something off of it for style of design. You don’t need it if you’re just doing a beaded design. As for outside if you are using the appropriate metal you could definitely put it outside, just consider the longevity of it may be shortened from being in the weather. Thanks for watching I appreciate it! 💯
We have some of the same beads 😂😂. I can never find the bigger crystals though. Very beautiful
Thanks it’s fun working with such beauty isn’t it
I got 80, 1.4 inch crystals orbs from Kijiji. They were from a broken chandelier.
I think I paid $60.00 for the whole tub.
It’s probably just a one off but keep your eyes open
Gotta love a good score and a way to repurpose! 🤩
Have you ever been to a Goodwill Clearance Center? It’s commonly called ‘the bins’, they have two sections, one clothing and one hard goods, they sell everything by the pound. I went yesterday and found a chandelier, I got an empty box and just stood there taking it apart for pieces I wanted. I was able to find a pair of scissors to cut the wires. I got tons of small and large crystals also some larger pieces. I took the round pieces that sit under the candle stick holder and it has the holes all the way around where the crystals hang and a few other pieces. It’s the first time I found a chandelier out in the wild And I only paid $7.00 for everything!!!
I also purchase mystery jewelry boxes for sourcing, that’s another fun way to get some really great beads and fittings.
Thank you for posting your method and for sharing the link for the basics of putting it together. Now that I have the crystals I am set to make one, except for the fishing line, but that’s easy enough to get.
Thank you again ❤
I think we have the same beads, lol I love making suncatchers but just don't know how to go about getting set up somewhere,. Right now I work out of my basement . I have half as my crafting space and the other half I created a tiki bar ....its a fun space and lots of friends visit and also buy some of my creations. I would really like to expand into other places but not sure how to do that. Any suggestions? Thanks and I love your work!
I’ve shared my process in another video about how I set a sampler and how I approach the shops when asking for consideration to consign. You can do it and don’t be afraid to ask questions and make the right pick for you and your financial situation. Just remember you never want to go into debt just to sell your product so having a fee for a space to sell doesn’t work for everyone. I prefer having a % taken at POS so I don’t owe anything. Having product that sells and doesn’t collect dust is key to that working for everyone.
Thank you, I will watch them.
How long should the line be and thickness, example I have one that’s .8 mm and I have another one that is .25 mm? Which one is better for suncatchers.
Size of line I use is roughly 8-9” based on designs and bead sizes. The Crystal can be any size you wish. It’s easy to shorten or lengthen the line based on size of crystal used. I use a 30mm and it’s perfectly sized I believe.
How big are the beads
Please show how you tie the ends. Can’t see on the video.
Thanks for watching and asking here’s a video that’s perfect for seeing how I tie the ends. czcams.com/video/bgbi1SCub4o/video.htmlsi=fOIkODHCzZfgBGD0
where did you purchase your bead gallery beads?
I got them at Michael’s craft store
Can u make a flower? That’s stacks
Not sure I could I’ve never seen something like that or maybe I’m not sure what that means exactly.
Need help on getting supplies I need . Do you have links for your supplies anywhere?
Sorry no affiliated links at this time. I’m sharing this design style for an example of what is possible to be created with beads being incorporated with the suncatcher. I make each piece as a one of a kind design to be purchased as a completed product. This tends to make it a bit difficult to offer a direct list of supplies to complete one of your own.
If you wish to purchase a finished piece that’s all I current have to offer. I have shared some of what I could to help inspire the project possibilities when it comes to making Suncatcher’s
I want to make some but can’t find what you used 😩
I’m sorry it’s seeming difficult to gather supplies. I suggest to check out your local craft or bead supply shop that way you can see everything all at once to create it. Good luck and hope you find something!
Ty
You never took the time to show us what you use for wire or how to attach everything on to the prism.
I actually break this information down in a few different videos if you wish to learn more I have this one you can watch. czcams.com/video/bgbi1SCub4o/video.htmlsi=-UIC2xtVH_Q-Wiua
Can’t see what your doing.
I’m always looking to improve the experience of what I’m sharing with you all and appreciate your time. Hopefully over time the view and descriptions get better with time. Hopefully another one of my videos will better serve the view and if any questions come up please feel free to ask.
Fast forwarding makes it difficult to see and understand
I agree that it can make it difficult. I’m trying to release two versions of the videos nowadays being I don’t have a huge following so I’m trying to catch interest and also teach my techniques. Please stay tuned for more in-depth videos
Too far away
I feel like you haven’t watched the whole thing? I zoom in during the process as much as possible without becoming blurry when I edited the video and I can see everything the way I intended it to be shown. Sorry You can’t see it…
