im in the process of joining the wolves of Mandalore in Central California , every step of the way i have had support while building my kit , not only from my fellow mercs but the 501st as well . I never in my life have felt so accepted , to know that my opinions and talents are of value means the world to me . i cant wait to be able to suit up and troop and help raise money for the kids , and get out there and be more of a part in this wonderful club .
Excellent stuff. Very useful information and it was cool to see a kit come together in such a short time. I've been a member of the forums for a few years and finally made some headway on my kit. Will be attending an armor party tomorrow in fact! Raquor'daan clan! Oya!
AndrewAlderaan hi, so you probably won’t respond to this but I want to get into the hobby but I don’t know if I should just make my armor at home or if I should go to and armor party and seek guidance. And I have no clue on how I would make the armor, in general I’m just not really sure what I should do. I am mainly confused on how I would add detail onto the gauntlets and make the helmet. @@aydenshannon2906 Hey man! Just ask your clan brothers, tell them you don't know how to do it. There is no shame in admiting that you are out of your element. I have no clue of electronics and need help with that. Go to an armor party and ask what you should bring and what you are working on. I was confused too so I started at the lowest layer so to speak. The flight suit and vest then the armor. I hope I could help you a little bit. Don't be shy, they will gladly help you and you are going to have fun. You just have to start somewhere. :)

@Timothy Edward the same concept works for any thin plastic. Some people have used storage totes from places like walmart before. another material similar to the pvc board is to cut and flatten pvc pipe with heat into the shape you need.
I love this! I make my own armor as well, But unfortunately i'm not old enough to join! ): hopefully the mercs will still be around when I turn 18!!!!
I feel you, it especially burns since I'm so close to 18. I guess I'll just go rogue for now.

Su cuy'gar, I am gathering infos and materials for my armour and startet the helmet (first in paper) but I am pretty confused about everything else. Should I continue doing random try and error or find a armour party to save my project? Where can I find one? ... I can't even find my clan on the website ^^' I am from Austria. is there any alternative to pvc foam ? cause its very rare in my country and even if someone actually sold one it would be like 80$ or more for the 5mm ones... and i looked it up at ebay its only 5$ but the shipment is 75$....
+Timothy Edward You can use bucket plastic (also called Kydex) to make the plates. It will require more heat as it is more dense than PVC foam board.
+Timothy Edward You could use metal, but thats expensive, I suggest you look on the internet and possibly over-sees for cheaper building materials, but the further away from the building materials and templates you go, it just makes you look a background extra

The Mandalorean amor is actually called crusader armor and is the most advanced armor in the Star Wars Galaxy.
