Boxing warm up exercises are an easy way to prepare you for more rigorous training or even a fight itself. Warming up is an essential part of remaining healthy, fit and making sure you're at the top of your game. Preparing your body for a workout means your muscles are more relaxed, lessening the risk of straining them and causing yourself injury. It helps to increase your flexibility and gets your body ready for the training. These warm ups are perfect for targeting every part of the body you need to be the best boxer you can be, strengthening both your physical and mental conditions and lessening the risk of injuring yourself.

An effective warm up can improve the rate of force development, reaction time, and oxygen delivery during exercise. If we get the warm up wrong, all our hard work in training could be undone, by doing too little or too much.
Most successful boxing performances are a result of great amounts of technical, tactical, physical and psychological preparation. The final part of that journey is the warm up. This is a vital stage, if you get this wrong, all your hard work could be undone by doing too little or too much. 99% of boxers will shadow box and perform pad work before a fight. However, only a small percentage will perform a structured physical warm up.

I’m amazed I did the whole thing without stopping. You said boxing isn’t for everyone and that hit me. I want to box. Hopefully you hear my name one day
Rose Nethercutt your last name is close to Northcutt lol Sage and his sister are fighters. You too can be a great fighter work hard, and stay motivated !
Almost a year now. Knuckle up yet?
Rose Cutt try shadow boxing, you look stupid at the start but once you can pick up the flow after a week or 2 adding it I. Your workout it really helps, keep in mind with no fighting experience people look just as stupid sparring when shadow boxing
Rose Cutt yo also he said “but it should be” right after saying it’s not for everyone
*Whoo HoOo
Warmups are a must. This the first one I came across a couple months ago. It’s the beginning of most days for me. Shout out to NBF for putting it together
This warmup reminds me of a mix of mma workouts

video starts
This was great! Like most said, yes it feels like a workout in itself but this is perfect for a morning workout to get loosened up and get the day going.
Ending planks kill me every time 😂, 10..9..8..*talks for 10 seconds...5..4💀 I appreciate the adversity tho
This is funny
Ong bro it mentally drains you when he speaks 😭😭
Finally a warm-up I can use for my class. Thank you so much!! Keep up the good work guys.

Started doing this in 2018. Still on it but now include one of your tabata workout sessions.
Killer aint no lie 😂
Well worth it though 🔥🔥🔥
That made me a lot stronger, thank you
That’s the idea 💪🏽🤜🏽💪🏽
Thanks Nate !! just what you need alongside a boxing bag and pair of gloves
Wow, fantastic warm up. I'm a boxing trainer and I will try this in my next adult class.
This is a really good warm up. Very effective too I bet
been doing my best to follow along for almost a week now today’s the closest i’ve come to completing the whole thing without a break i always box afterwards but man those planks at the end are killed i caved halfway down the countdown after the scalf drops
Quick and effective warm up!
Good warm up this.
Used to do this before every lift a year ago, took 5 months off, came back to this and goddamn forgot how good this is 💯💯🔥
The title is spelled wrong its supposed to be '' 15 minute workout ''
Great warm up. I couldn't finish it, but that's cause I'm very unfit haha. One day though 😅
Did u get there
@@sreedevishine9679 I haven't done it since 😂 so no. I'm very lazy haha, but my laziness shouldn't discourage anyone else from doing it lmfao.
When you said “ok that’s a warm up” at the end I was like that was warm up?! 😮💨
I'm definitely doing this for every warm up
Man this workout gets me every time
First exercise after several months and I think that was an attempt to murder me. See you again in 2 days!
Thank you guys.great job.really appreciate your videos and your app.helped me a lot.
Wow... that was a good one.
almost the same like my routine on camp
i do 1 round 45s ,circle run, jumping jacks, circle run , jumping squad , circle run , Lunges , circle run , side push up , circle run , high plank , circle run , side plqnk ,circle run high knees , circle run ,backup , repeat 2 set. there is no rest, rest only when u run 😂.
The real killer
Your warm up is my workout.
Sorry...my workout is your warmup.
Damn!!!
Great warm up!!
A warm up to some and a workout to others ;) Thanks for the comment
This is great. Could you write it down in the description next time
Wow, that was killer! Keep strong!
Dude you by far have got it down to a science .. your science is getting my ass
really is a killer... day 3 tho :)
Amazing. Thank you.
And after this, is time for the real workout. BOXING!
I thought I was weak but after looking at the comments
.
I think I'm the 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀𝘁
after this what will you reccomend as a full boxing workout? can i do your 20min home boxing workout after this..? and will be awsome if you make a future boxing cooldown vedio..as i have to train at home for some time i always forget my chores till the end... thanks, your vedios help a lot.
Good video...definitely trying this out👍🏻
Well named "killer". I liked it ,but had trouble keeping up so far
A good workout, but not a warm up. The idea of warm up is to fill you up with energy and not burn you down
If you want energy go sleep somewhere or take a good eating routine, warm up is for your muscles to awake for the training you are going to do.
Great work... Im going to try this
This was like a workout, not a warm-up!!
In boxing training, this is only warm up.. :)
kick boxing this is just a warm up
Manu KrishnaSadhak lad this is a warm up also why would you be doing the push ups in kick boxing you should have done the plank or pull ups too improve your defence
One day it will be your warm up
Martial Art workouts are notorious for being extremely hard and long and so are its warm ups.
Perfect video
I like that
Another great vid and also to add to my training. I don't know if you have covered this but can you please do a vid on jump rope techniques and how long one should jump rope for?
Thx NateBoFit,i'm now more skillful
Should i warm up my hands and all the body static before this warm up, or do this from the start?
Goddamn bruh. The initial was like "yeah no prob" but the end! Uff! I just discovered my plank shoulder movement is not very strong. God job man
Lol. Love it
I got fatigue like everywhere in my body after trying it all wow
man got john terry and mikhitarian with him
killer.....
Hello sir, I am currently learning Karate for 4 yrs, but I don't like it that much.....so now I want to learn boxing, as I already am learning Karate for 4 yrs, my parents don't want me to leave it, so can I practise both boxing and Karate together?
Why there are no cuts bro?
Coz The real without cuts just killed me 😆🤸🏾♀️👌🏾👏🏾
Thanks I feel I have to do it again
at 5:30...why the left man and the right man of upper & lower extremity directions are different? than who is correct?
This killed me but I'll keep doing it
I stretch for 5, do sprints for 5, followed by 5 minutes of push-ups and various abdominal exercises. Sprinting and stretching is enough in itself, every single muscle in your body gets ample blood flow, just make sure you don't overdo the sprints ;P
yeah I'm pretty sure sprints are not a good way to warm up unless you want to tear something. If you haven't yet it's because you're lucky.
Why do push ups before the punch outs? Just curious. We were having a debate about warmups im the gym.
good~~!!i will try this ~!!!
And i have got a question!!
plz let me know~ how to avoid punch for beginner!^^
run
Can I do it as just a workout before basic boxing jab and footwork?
Absolutely
@@NateBowerfitness thanks a lot, i really loved this one and i do it regularly.
this was my workout LOL
Warm up before doing this warm-up
My body is sore after doing all of that, but it feels good though.
***** Thanks for the advice. Ill give it another round.
This is a workout
The hardest thing ive ever done in my life
Warm up ? I almost died in here
If this is warm up then which planet does boxers belong
❤
Are you serious this is a warm up 😂😂😂
I’m done after this
This is equal to one hour regular work out for me 😂
NateBowerFitness

I’ve been living here in North Africa for 20 years now
They love soccer most
I’ll show everyone around me your video and wait for their feedback
Btw people here speak multiple languages and Islam is their religion and some Christians and they have churches open and protected by the government. All the news in the media are lies.
Very nice and warm and down to earth people
A neighbour is a family for them not just a neighbour
Peace out brother

Change the title to workout lmfao😂😭
Beanzzzzzzzzzzz
Not sure this is effective
Rest assure my friend it is effective just give it a try.
@@salahaddinhashimalhusam7697 actually it's not. It doesn't have a profound logic. There's dynamic stretch of the arms followed by plyometric with the lower body, push ups + isometrics.... If you do this before a strength session you will fail on long term, even before a boxing specific training with bags and sparring. This at best could be turned into a session of conditioning/active recovery followed by 30 minutes of slow cardio and stretch.
@@fightcampro1358 sold and agreed . But would you advice me how to maintain a stamina for along periods of boxing . By the way I am a boxer and I do high intense workouts like really intense for minimum three hours . Thank you in advance for your insightful ideas.
@@salahaddinhashimalhusam7697 of course with much pleasure if my answer will help. You're boxing training (skill, bag, sparring)is already a stamina and lactic tolerance training but the part where most fail is the ratio of work and rest time. You should go progressively for overtime and recover with undertime. Boxers usually do 3:1 (3 minute round with 1 rest) ratio but you should progress and be able in time to go even for 4-5 even 6:1. Then you will really be a cardio machine. You should also have easy days with 2:1 1:1 even 1:2. This of course are just indicators, everything will be adapted specifically to each athlete. This for the specific skill work for boxing. You should also do at least 2 days/week of conditioning with weights and cardio. To sum everything. Don't mix boxing and s&c in same training.
@@fightcampro1358 thank you so much that really was helpful.
This is bullshit. There's a clear edit/cut at 4:26. The pushups pause in the video and the count is reset to 8 after 4 reps.
