We appreciate people’s concern and would never intentionally try to make anyone feel awkward or put anyone in a bad position, regarding the nature of the bit. We hope it came off more playful and silly than anything, as we tried to adjust and adapt on the spot. Hoping this helps clear up and concern!
Yeah agreed, I'm very familiar with this barbershop quartet and a big fan of them but choosing a young girl is pretty weird, I think no matter the context. My first thought was that if they chose an older woman she might be already dating someone/married, but they could've just been like "we need a single woman from the audience" or something like that.
