Great review, but I wouldn’t compare a S7 to a M5, an M5 should be compared to the RS6 or even the RS7.
I did it to be a little different as I have another review with the rs7 👍
I think comparing it to M5 is a huge compliment to this Audi S 😄

Yeah I agree but the TFSI 6 did increase torque and the 1/4 is a touch fast, oh an now we have the 48v hybrid tech. But the sound was better on the 8 👍
During the exhaust test, when you put rs mode did you mean dynamic mode because the rs mode is only on the rs7.

You wanted to hear the engine more but with double pane windows? Make it make sense.
That’s not a good argument, I own a vehicle that has that too and it’s a twin turbo v6 and I can hear the engine.
I think a better comparison would be a equally equipped Porsche Panamera.

This would be better compared to the bmw m550i with over 525hp and similar torque im not looking it up rn. Over all imo that is the better car. This one has better headlights and the hatchback. Only thing that sold me.

Here in canada you get a m5 competition for 40k more than this brand new… rather have 670 hp for 40k more than 450
This is a rare spec….. most do t have the luxury package with ventilated seats

I don't like the power downgrade i currently have a 2016 c7.5 and I prefer THE V8

So when you talk about comparing to a trim all of the Bimmers are less in price than Audi. Audi only has 3 options, if you compare it to a 540i it’s way less in price and the m550i is still less than a s7. When someone is looking to buy a vehicle at these prices, why would you go to a 540i when the m550i is better and still less than a S7?

new s7 is essentially just a package for a7, the c7 generation was when S7 was completely different level from a7

No it's not worth buying. Buy the A7 or RS7. I have an A7. S7 is gorgeous but not worth the money. A7 is just fine.

The A7 can't touch an S7....and as for the RS 7, drive an S7 and drive an RS 7and you won't want an S7.... That's until you here breaks will set you back $10k....I ran back to the $7....🤣🤑

@@larryhansen6439 lol you mean to tell me the S7 power I can get with just a 500 dollars ECR tune? 😂 Sorry bud, this C8 S7 just isn't worth the money. If you got the money, the only logical step up is RS7. You're literally just paying 30k more for just all wheel steering and an extra turbo... Everything else is negligible because you can easily retrofit it on the A7 S line. Like it's ok to admit Audi messed up the specs on the A7 S line and S7. They're too damn similar and any rational person will see it's not worth it. They should have gone with a regular V8 and capped the S7 HP at 500hp.
Your better off with a AMG GT 43-53 considering GT more and if a head turner as well. Still puzzled why none of the S/RS are V8’s very behind in terms of engine performance especially for the cost. So many other luxury car options for that price range fully loaded

V8 are old school engineering. Newer engineering are all for V6. V6 is smaller than V8 in size and modern V6 has the same hp as V8. Smaller size engine means more ideal center of gravity and better handle balance of the car
