This is great. I'm back at uni as a 'mature student' in my 30s and haven't referenced an essay for over 15yrs!
What a great teacher, really brings a dull subject to life and makes it interesting.
"excuse me brackets don't speak"....love the attitude in how he said it.
i like this guy alot his passion for teaching is evident. i would hazard a guess that he smokes a pipe and owns a pair of Speedos.
I didn't watch this video past one minute and I soon realized that I was in safe hands. Bravo!
This man is amazing! English is my fourth language he makes it easy to comprehend what In-text citation is!!
i was writing a 20-page seminar report and I was hating my the citation and everything related to it until I came into this video.... love it :) thanks a lot
Got stuck with inserting a reference as it felt all wrong. My problem was resolved within the first 5 minutes of this video! Excellent resource
Thank you sir for relieving my stress of citing appropriately with your short priceless video.
It's my pleasure
It's strange that nobody seems to teach this. Thank You for this presentation, now I can be a focus on those top marks.
Ikr isn’t it so weird they’re like if you don’t know how to do this fairly intricate process you will fail but we won’t tell you how
Enjoyable and informative. Something that is not readily explained but most definitely required. Look forward to watching your other videos.
I know this is like almost 10 years ago.. but this man might have just saved my life. haha thank you sir!
You're very welcome!
A really cool way of explaining, clear, concise, and enjoyable.
Thank you. I wish referencing was made a subject in its own right. Anyway, we have you now, you have done a much better job at explaining this dry area. I was awake through out the lesson!!
Well, Mark Cholij did leave an impression in me. I liked his presentation as he took his time in explanning how and what to do. Appreciate this help for my own assignment.

Vijiananth

Excellent video on Academic Writing Skills by Mr Cholij. I would definitely recommend it to children; family and friends. Clear, conscise and most importantly, understandable to simpletons like myself haha.
I like your sense of humor (y)
Lee (2022, p.22) said "I love your teaching".

You just nailed it!
Thank you sir. I enjoyed it. You are very friendly.
THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. CHOLIJ
This guy is something else, man.
I'll bet Mark drives a classic car on a Sunday. He seems like the kind of man that would be found in a forest at 6am every morning exchanging verbal and physical blows while fencing his childhood rival. I imagine he then smokes his wife a kipper and reads the newspapers with BBC4 on the radio.
I've spent quite a while looking for the best video on refencing for my students but most were tired librarians that have such a monotonic voice that you could use it to tune your Dyson Vacuum as a musical instrument.
Thanks Mark.
This is brilliant and you are a great teacher! Love your passion and clarity. Thank you! :)

excellent presentation. My question is..where exactly in the sentence do you cite? if it is author prominent you do it at the beginning, and if it is information prominent you do it at the end ? many thanks
Yes, it is kind of correct both, however there is a link to Mark’s book in the video description. so, if you are interested you will find detailed explanations on it.
@@digitProMag definitely. Many thanks for that, this has been the most clear and simple explanation, very easy to understand. ♥️
very good
You Sir, are very good at what you do. Thank you. 13.31 panic 😅
You're welcome
I have a question, so I've referenced a newspaper saying, "The International Organization of Human Rights claims that blah blah blah (The Nation, 2009)." Since the newspaper has referenced their source already, do I still need to say that this was taken from the Nation? Or can I just leave it as "The International Organization of Human Rights claim that etc. etc." Is this double referencing??
You reference the article that you used but if the original source is clear you can reference that too.
Watching this I got a little called out. 😂Heard my name halfway through 👀
Please answer me. I am taking a course Access to high education and I use sometimes You Tube channel in my work. Do I need to referencing the channel and how to do it?
Here you go
Video title + Speaker name + Publisher name, web URL and date
thanks alot
I like this guy he is funny
