Introduced this to the high school throwers last outdoor season. They became much better at being able to handle what I was teaching them and were more mobile and flexible than other groups on the team!

It’s nice to see a big boy demonstrating this stuff. Too many times you get high school kid who’s 140lbs and can do a back hand spring demonstrating mobility 😂 Nice video.

Any tips for managing patellar tendonitis? Mostly left side more prominent when squatting sometimes a problem when throwing.

I had that before in both knees. So eccentric squats on a slant board and make sure to rest and get a good warm up

If you love to throw shot then do it. Success isn't all about medals. I was a very gifted decathlete as a junior boy. I could never complete a full season, due to my Autism. I am now 46 years old. I always trained and threw medicine balls in the park, alone. Recently, I came 2nd in the UK for over 35's. I am now training for a World Championships in Japan next year. In my mind my success came from doing what I love to do.
