Hi. I need your opinion. Now that 2 series is on sale. Watch 5 44mm black AUD247$, and Watch 6 44mm silver AUD375$. Witch one is worth it if compare the spec and the price? Thanks.
I got the 5 way cheaper and I love it goes well with my s22 ultra so I don't have to hold my phone where ever I go to get calls and msgs as the phone is to heavy
Had several Galaxy watches, my 4 and 5 both had gps issues, stopped tracking my activities and Samsung couldn't fix either or explain, left and went to Venu 2+, I'll have the 3 soon
That surprising with the Samsung, but the Venus are great!
"...they both do great on fitness and sleep track". Based on which data, especially for the latter? Reviewers tend to take it for granted that because it's a Samsung it must excel in everything it does. I wonder why.
I went more in depth on their respective review videos. To be honest it's not top of the line as far as smart watches go. Garmin and Apple are better, but it is very good. I have even linked The Quantified Scientist on dune if my videos as well
@@FitnessWithFrost According to the QualifiedScientist both of these watches are doing poorly and not as good as the industry 's best, Apple and Huawei.
Poorly is an overstatement, but definitely not top of the line. It does very well in my testing. I know he is a lot more thorough on his testing, but a lot of his workouts are not my type of workout.
But either way they are not the best of the best with fitness tracking and to be honest they haven't really improved over the past 3 years so that's pretty disappointing
I'm actually feeling like 5 was way better. So far, two issues I've noticed was that once auto paused, it won't start back unless I swing my arm, so if I have a stroller or pushing something, it won't unpause. Two, the calorie count seems hella suspicious with the 6. There was a walk I did (yes a walk and I chose walk as the exercise) and within 10 minutes I had 150 calories burned. There's no way because with my previous Watch 5 and with heart rate monitors around my chest, it's never been that high unless I'm going on a hard run or cardio exercise. Also, auto detect workout doesn't work at all 😞
I'm all around disappointed actually at the 6.
I never had any problems with the auto detect. I thought it worked even better for me. The stroller thing is a common problem with all watches because the accelerometer gets no data when it's holding a stroller.
The walk is interesting. They have ever so often changed the calorie count for certain things. I wouldn't take the walk into much account for overall caloric burn
I have a small budget, buy a watch 5 or wait a while until I get some money to buy watch 6
You should be very happy with the 5 if you just want to go with the 5
I just ordered the 5 pro renewed from Amazon for 180... I'll see how it works... Have 3 months to return it in case I don't like it.

Screen def looks smaller. I had the 4 and 5 the 6 looks tiny compared to the previous models

Just bought a new 5 - going well.
What shits me, though, is that I had a perfectly functional Galaxy Active 2 watch which I was really happy with. Like the watch is above, it had a water resistance to 50 metres claim as well. I wore it twice in my swimming pool, and two months later the watch started malfunctioning. I took it into Samsung official service and they told me there was water damage. The watch is now useless. They claim That there is no guarantee for it be to be waterproof. Just absolute bollocks. I am furious with them. So I would not trust Samsung's claims that the watch is waterproof and I would not go swimming with it. Also, never wear your watch in the shower. bath or sauna or spa. The warm water can cause the watch's seams to expand and you could end up with a damaged watch.
I had the exact thing happen to me. After swimming twice, it went black and ended up working but the function to answer calls and text notifications stopped working. So it was basically only a pedometer for me. I bought the 5 (it's being shipped), but now I see the 6 is on sale for an extra $100, so I'm contemplating buying the 6 instead..
no watch is completely waterproof.
If you dont rinse your watch every time you get out of the pool, the pool chemicals will corrode the seal on the watch. same if you take it out in the ocean.. pls do research before coming to a false Conclusion
also the watch 6 is 5ATM its pool safe just make sure you rinse the watch off after you get out of the pool or the pool chemicals will corrode the seal on the watch. im not a samsung advocate or anything just giving the facts
Please make sure you RINSE your watch off after swimming the pool otherwise the pool chemicals will corrode the seal.. same is said for the watch 6 EVEN though its 5ATM rated.. same for your phone...
the watch maybe water proof against fresh water but not CHEMICAL water
you cant be furious with samsung, they never lied to you, you were just ignorant and they made use of that ignorance unfortunately
