I think he may have even said something to that effect on the concert video Havana Moon.

I remember when you saw this on MTV and thinking how old they were. Now, I look at it and think "look how young they were"...
There's an old story that I don't know if it's true, but I hope it is. Mick Jagger called Charlie Watts room and said "I need my drummer'. Watts went to Jagger's room, knocked, and when Mick answered the door, Charlie punched him in the mouth and said "don't ever call me your drummer. You're my singer", turned around and walked away.

    • @Fakename70
      @Fakename70 Před 4 lety +3

Apparently they were all holed up at Long View Farm rehearsing for the 1981-82 tour. A drunken Jagger burst into Watts’s room in the middle of the night warbling “where’s my drummer!?”
As I’ve read it, Watts got up out of bed, GOT FULLY DRESSED IN A SUIT AND TIE, calmly went downstairs, located Jagger, punched him full in the face whilst reminding him “you’re MY fucking SINGER!”, headed back upstairs to his room, and back to sleep.

Yes, Mick Jagger is the lead singer for The Rolling Stones. This music video is the inspiration for the song, "Moves Like Jagger". Charlie Watts is the drummer. Keith Richard is the lead guitarist. Ron "Ronnie" Wood is the rhythm guitarist. Bill Wyman is the bass player. He retired from the group in 1993. A union musician plays bass for the band while on tour.

The drummer, Charlie Watts, is the anchor of the band. Keith Richards has said as long as Charlie is there, he'll also be there. Watts turned 79 this year, married to the same woman since 1964. Still playing drums. He has had several side projects over the years. When the rest of the band start bickering like siblings, he hits the road with his jazz band.

Yep. That's Mick Jagger! Pure energy and fun. He and all front men, as they're called, have to be a little like a diva cuz they love the attention. The group has been around since 1960s. Mick is in his 70s now. They still do concerts and that ""old man", still moves like he did in this video! Another man to see is Paul McCartney who was in the Beatles. He doesn't dance but as a singer and song writer, he's the best. He has so many awards and #1 hit songs it will blow your mind! His concerts sell out at 50,000 to 80,000 people. He has records with Him and Michal Jackson and Stevie Wonder and him. Enjoy . Lead guitar is Kieth Richards.

Blues pioneers such as Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Big Bill Broonzy and Robert Johnson had a huge impact on the young Rolling Stones, influencing Richards' guitar licks and Mick Jagger's vocals and songwriting. As working class London lads the Blues really resonated with them and influenced their style. In fact, they brought Blues to the masses in the 60s.

Another one that gets a pass (even in "family" venues like hockey arenas and baseball games) is the lyric in AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long": "She told me to cum but I was already there!"

The drummer started cracking up because Mick messed up the lip sync. Least that was the word when this video was in the MTV rotation.

Yeah, that's Jagger, alright. The Stones are great.
You should definitely check out Satisfaction, Jumping Jack Flash, Paint it Black, Angie, Wild Horses, and Star Star.

When I saw Mick Jagger the first time I was about 6 or 7...he was on tv and he was singing/moving/dancing around...I asked my momma..."What is wrong with that man momma...is he sick"? LOL. He scared the poo out of me

there was a funny thing Mick said about harry styles because people do compare harry lightly to being inspired by Mick
and he said "I was more androginous and wore eyeliner more than him" the comparison is shallow,"
but then he admitted they are friends and harry always goes to a performance,
i am not a huge harry styles fan,
i just noticed the inspiration in his music now and how he presents himself in the media is alot like mick jagger, and needed to see if they ever had met lol

Mick asked Tina Turnner to show him some of her dance move. And then wrote the song, Brown Sugar.
