- Slightly bigger map than my last one. All textures are AI generated with some manipulation in photoshop (resizing etc.)

The real sacriliege is running Doom with texture filtering turned on, making everything soft and blurry.
he also has random sound pitch on
@@YourLocalDrugDealer69i don’t hear it
@@teaoftraffic dude i swear i saw you on Phoenixsc's video

Doom 64 vibes from these
I like those. That AI guy is a pretty good artist.
Artist?
@@purporium6902Yeah the guy doesn’t get enough credit. He even wrote the recent Disney movie!
@@jacextreme6432 Multie talented artist there! Do they have a youtube channel?
@nmn5550 I heard they work behind the scenes in secret to earn more cool points. 😎
Albrrt Einstein
It has some System Shock aesthetic to it.
the most complicated set of advancements in human non-technology to get yet another generic grey techbase level. AI is finally here.
I agree, this was simply an experiment in what AI in its current state can do
Look like doom 64 with a little bit of quake
Looks like something between Quake2 and Doom64
Ok, now that the textures are in a better map they don't look so bad as the squary room.
Looks like an early 2000's tech demo for a game that doesn't exist
And that's not a bad thing, I love it.
Could you please share the .wad file? Those textures look very useful for an upcoming project.
Honestly it's worth it if you're doing things like this and don't mind using AI art to just get a Midjourney subscription. You won't regret it.
@@BlazingOwnagerstable diffusion >>>> MJ, is local and not discord based.
@@dovahkiin2108 The quality can be pretty great with stable diffusion for people with the skills to use it, and it being local is like you said, a huge benefit. Not knocking it, just saying it's not as easy to drop into as Midjourney.
@@BlazingOwnager yes MJ is very easy, but regarding texture one really should use SD along with it's extensions to be able to generate things with more control of the image. But MJ has a better prompt processing than SD and can do better art in general with relatively ease.
The hell baron knight reveal with the green projectiles was awesome yeah so awesome
Jumpscare the right way
I know. Ihe sounded really scared when the door opened suddenly and he screamed.
@@no.one.2 wiruuuwaugggh tiswvuhush
Like that
it's a baron of hell (hence the alert sound) but its cool
this actually looks really cool it looks like a halo ce level or something especially near the end
this actually looks like something that could be in doom to me
if they were more crunchy with the filtering on they would look perfect on quake 2
Wow that’s some depth
Doom 3 texturepacks be like
Very cool !!
In the future you can probably make whole texture packs with a single ai prompt.
Can you give some sample prompts you use? Would be interesting to try. Also could you add link to description?
I just used the prompt - "Sci-Fi wall texture game ready" it took a long time to get the right images though, I generated over 100 images to get about 8 useable textures
@@presuminged2000 Tnx. Was it 100 different prompts or same until you got what you want?
@@test-rj2vl Same prompt until I got what I wanted
Looks like a dream
Pretty neat.
nice textures. can you share this wad?
The real crime here is that there is no download link for the wad
Next time try and play doom psx music in the background with this
woot woot. textures should generate via shaders like shadertoy
Might look better if you downscaled these to native res
There is nothing wrong with playing with texture filtering. Playing Doom or any other game like it from the 90s on a CRT instead of an LCD would have smoothed out the jagged edged pixels. The texture filtering is definitely not the best way to replicate this however it does make the game look a bit nicer to some people (not me particularly) but its def not a bad look. And random sound pitch was a dos thing so actually that's more original than not having sound pitch. But Doom is a game for everyone to enjoy their own way with their own settings.
Maybe you can try it with monsters from the mod "Voxel Doom 2", they are not flat.
sweet
nice.
wow is amazing

What AI model did you use?
Bing AI Image Generator
@@presuminged2000 Fascinating. I know that only outputs textures at 1024x1024. Impressive that you managed to get so many coherent designs out of it. How long did it take to get what you wanted?
@@mattroks101 I probably generated 200+ images over the course of 2 days and most were unusable, could be that I didn't use the right prompts. Also, the AI has a tendancy to make everything really intricate and detailed, for example, I was only able to get one usable door texture. This is just an experiment really, I doubt I'll be using AI for my main maps
@@presuminged2000I will never use AI for making textures, because I don't have control to the texture. It's more satisfying to me to make texture myself to do it how I want, or modify existing one made by humans
@@user-kt7cb4ot7b It was just an experiment, I also prefer to make my own textures
FUCKING METAL!!!
Anyone who plays Doom blurred doesn't deserve Doom. It should be illegal.
Stop
👎👎👎
I agree, it was purely an experiment.
freelook w/o crosshair and no viewbob is a very odd playstyle
also you are damn lucky for the baron projectile to roll lowest damage
I hate everything bobbing around! Just keep it straight, I should probably have a cross hair though 👍
@@presuminged2000 i wouldn't blame you for hating the viewbob but i agree with the crosshair
