Try warming the tubes in a warm water bath. Might make them more liquid?

It's probably better to source professional studio makeup in primary colors and mix your own without the gadgets.

@Hedro Ilo they only have nudes, pinks/reds/oranges. That limits you. This one sure you have to self pump it, but since it’s primary colors your choices are endless so it’s 1000% better and worth the coin.
They need to just make the pump bottles a screw-up mechanism instead. Similar to a chapstick tube. But each turn will have a "click" for one turn. So there's a plunger inside that actively pushes product out with each click/turn, rather than trying to rely on a pump/vacuum mechanism, which appears ineffective and inconsistent for such a thick formula.
You should try tapping them down to get the product right right up to the dispenser. Like tap it on a table. It should help getting more consistent pumps. The reason you arnt getting full pumps is because air in the tube. Try tapping it towards the dispenser!
And holding it straight down

I used to work for a hardware store. I mixed paint for years, there was always issues with tints dispensing all the time. You literally have to prime the machine everyday for it to dispense correctly.
As someone who knows color theory, I NEED TO ORDER THIS. All the dope colors I can create, and it’s eye safe so not only can I create cool lipstick I can also create cool eyeliner
I was thinking i don’t need this because I’ve never been into lipstick but you mentioning eyeliner makes me wanna order this immediately and at $60 it sounds very affordable for the amount of colors you can create and the cuteness of the product lol

Beauty creations color pots or tube ones are easy to mix they have primary colors and are cheap I've been waiting for someone to re come out with the lip tars I never got to try but I've heard so much about them and did some research they were done so dirty
This looks fun. I think the design is meant to hold the bottle straight up and down to help the product come out evenly without air getting in the way. The idea of it is awesome if you could actually get them to pump the same amount. I love the green and purple you made.
yeah i think its meant to be held vertically hence the machine maybe?
Plus you don't have to constantly fish for the colors when you store them somewhere, all of them are right there in the device ready to use.
The warm and cool tone packages are different. And if you're trying to make a color that day requires a warm yellow but you use the cool yellow, it will not look like the shade you're trying to make. When thinking of warm and cool tones, think of light bulbs, they have warm bulbs(more yellow-y) and then "daylight" aka cool bulbs(more crisp/blue-ish)
The pumpkin one needed more yellow then it would have been pretty spot on. I love mixing colors. I’m a makeup artist so might buy this for fun lol
If this had the same technology as the ysl one it would be amazing! Like an app that would automatically dispense the right amount per recipe. The ysl one seems great, only you are limited to colours as it’s 3 cartridges per colour family( reds, pinks, nudes or oranges) so many more options with primary colours plus white and black!

Ahhh!! Those butterfly clips are EVERYTHING!! I remember when I was a kid those were soooo popular and everyone wanted them so they were hard to find. Dang I wish I still had mine!!!
I feel like instead of trying to make some sort of "smart" contraption, it would be easier to make a little silicone mat with little dots on it, with the same concept of macaron silicone cooking mats, where you put a dab onto an outlined dot and it tells you how many dots to make to get the color you want and not waste so much product trying to get it to work.
Thats how they do it at that makeup store that makes custom lipsticks
I backed this when it was on kickstarter and I was so excited to get it. Is it the best quality lipstick? No, I've used better. But I think it's good quality plus I believe the brand has said it's eye safe on the review Robert Welsh did so could be used to make custom eye liners too!
I got the cool color kit. The colors are mostly the same but the warm color kit is slightly warmer tones while the cool one is cooler tones. It's most noticeable in the red which is more pink in the cool tones and more orange in the warm ones. Also, did you use the right color wheels? There are warm and cool ones and if you used a wheel that didn't match the colors you got, the colors may not match.

I’ve noticed with some other reviews of this product that each cartage has a little plastic piece on the top that has to be removed. Than you press down on the color compressing the color in the cartage. If this hasn’t been done it could be why it’s not dispensing properly. I could have missed that step being done, but I thought I still saw the plastic pieces in the cartages.

I wonder if the weather dried out your tubes a little more than it was supposed to. I got this product too and didn't have to mix in any drops but I also live in Washington State. So the weather might be a factor. I agree the tubes don't squirt equally but it's still fun.
I used to watch your videos over 10 years ago, back when I didn't know how to subscribe to a channel. So when a few years back I suddenly remembered that I used to follow you, I tried so hard to find your channel on YT. There are warm and cool versions of the primary colors. I appreciate they had separate ones because they could either get muddy if they were mixed or you could never make certain hues if you didn't have the different types. Think about how foundation can be warm, cool, or neutral but still be brown.
Mabye the pumps works better when they are turned downwards, instead of sideways 🤔

BUNNY You should create your own unique makeup line where there’s fun assembly required but it actually works well and has really good formula!! I think that would be really cool and different

Love the concept, but the dispenser and the bottles need to go back to the drawing board. If they could fix the accuracy of pumps the dispenser dispenses it could be a great product that I would totally buy. They also need to figure out how to make the amounts of lipstick you get more even for each shade you choose. Like how some shades only have 2 colors 1 pump each vs how some shades have numerous colors and pumps. Some shades you end up with too much product and others not enough. They should have recipes where they give the option for recipes that are doubled or tripled so you have the option of more product.

For the price of the product I think they could have added some sort of automated dispenser that gives a measured amount of the product in each pump

I ordered this a while back and it should be here in a few days. I think what I'm taking from this is I'll start out with quite a few drops added in & will not worry about the outer holder. I won't worry about pump numbers either and will just eyeball to have like 1 part, 2 parts, etc.
I feel like if they sealed the containers of colors, it would stop them from getting too thick to pump out. So while it's a great idea, taken from YSL's lipstick maker machine, they have more colors and they just need to seal them once they're made that way they stay fresh until you get them!
