Growing up, my family were born again Christians and I stayed away from them as much as possible because all they talked about was God and Jesus. Finally when I was in my 50s, I was going through hard times and I started searching for...something, I wasn't sure what. God reached out to me a number of times and soon I became a Believer. I worry about my son who waffles back and forth about believing and not believing. When I read “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him” John 6:44. And Matthew 5:14-16 "But only the Father can open a person’s mind, allowing him or her to become receptive to His invitation". With other scripture like these and knowing my own experience, I pray God will open my son's heart and draw him in because he is shutting me out just like I shut out my family about God.
That's right, brother. Trust God and His promises.

46:22 I was amazed how GOD saved me, looking back I was astonished how I was protected again and again, and even I accepted the Lord as my Saviour, the hand of GOD is still over me. Thanks for the explanation, however I am still struggling to comprehend, one thing is for certain - GOD is sovereign and good. PERHAPS YOU COULD TELL THIS IN MUCH SIMPLER WAY IN ANOTHER SERMON.
Faithful servants of the Lord Jesus evangelize because Christ says so and because we love Him and died for our salvation and eternal life!
Is Amos chapter 9:11 - 15 referring to future events or has the restoration spoken of in verse 9:14 speaking of the current nation of Israel? Blessings
Like all Old Testament Scripture, it has double meaning. Amos speaks of an earthly prophecy: the Jews will return to Israel after the 70 year exile. A heavenly prophecy: the New Jerusalem upon the New Earth under the New Heaven.
