My theory is that in Season 3, they will give Bizarro Jonathan a redemption arc (similar to Tal’s), kill off our Jonathan, and then Bizarro Jonathan will be the new “main” Jonathan 🤔
Clark should try pointing out that people like Ally don't do things like this out of the goodness of their hearts. He's a selfish enough kid to understand the idea of being self-serving. He might also consider trying to not be so preachy when he wants something from somebody who is not inclined to give it to him. At this point the excuse that "Superman doesn't lie" *is* itself a lie, so he really can't stand on principle.
Part of being selfish and self-centered is to not understand yourself or to recognize those qualities in others. Ally convinced Jon-El she's a savior, and he believes it because he wants to believe it. And I didn't hear Superman preaching, just telling him straight, and offering him a chance to make things right.

Clark's speech to Jon-el was pretty good but ally got jon to trust her too much and now jon-el is lost, Since Kal-el (inverse) wasn't there for Jon-el, Jon kept trying to figure out who he really was and Ally was able to manipulate him. Causing him to be lost and betraying his family
@@andr0_725 - Meh, Clark could have been a little less holier-than-thou. Because that's exactly what Bizarro Kal-El was like and what helped lure Jon-El to the seemingly more sympathetic Ally. Why should Jon-El switch sides when Clark is flat-out admitting that he still needs to be punished in some way for what he's already done? The DoD is holding him in a cell where he can't even go to the bathroom in privacy!

Do you think if Clark had promised him if he helped them, that all would be forgiven, he'd believe it? I don't think Jon-El is that stupid.
Why is it always so hard to accept Clark Kent = Superman... in every darn superman story? Just once, one Character should say "Figured." . Shock, shock, shock.... if someone had nearly the same features as the another person, same speech patterns, nearly the same voice, nearly the same everything... and one of them (Superman) just appeared and disappeared without seeming to have any home base, Clark disappears, Superman appears..... I'd be as suspicious as heck, already. I'd be collecting little pieces of evidence for years and grinning. No anger, just amusement. "Really, you are Superman?" Surprise! Go figure. "Sorry, Clark, that was my theory for years. You had a right to your secrets and I've had the right to my curiosity." And it isn't a lie when you don't tell people every detail of your biography. This story arc seems to take up most of season 2? And season three is the cancer story arc?
