Claudia's descent into madness would have played out better if there had been actual repercussions to the Carringtons for they treated her. She felt like another footnote, instead of a character who was involved for years in their lives from the very beginning.

I would've loved for her to have been written off for awhile during Pamela's pregnancy and return as Claudia..rested, rich and ready to serve the Carrington's with Denver Cold Arse Revenge and receive millions. I wanted her to come out on top and from under The Carrington's as a power mogul. I wanted Claudia and Dominique on the show running things and it seemed like the writers didn't know how to do that, cheers 💮

I think the fur popularity in the 80s is what created the backlash later on. It became too popular again and society was already beginning to change regarding treatment of animals and the natural world. And spy cameras began to be more common and society could see on tv what was really going on.
Sammy Jo had the same type of scene with furs back in 1981. The furs were starting to look stupid by this episode. And the show should’ve had pursued the crazy Claudia angle…it would have been fun. But Pamela Bellwood seemed to be phoning it in this season🥹. Shame she was good for the first three years.
