AH your channel does nothing but make me contemplate new directions to go in. Would never even consider this type of sounds but this VCO is just awesome in its own way. AH!
Very instructive vid. Got some real shivers going up and down my spine there... I also think Im going to have to get the Grand Terminal to clip the Furrrrr...
Ace! Pair this bad boy with Queen of Pentacles in a skiff case and can pull off lots of techno house and dance beats for a mobile modular rig easily. Once Ground Control is out even better.
Have you considered doing a dual slope battle royale? It seems like you've got the lot. Rampage, maths, falistri, grand terminal, PEG and the original DUSG. I just think it'd be hilarious to use nothing but in a patch
A bit on the pricey side. But if you want to leave little to compromise about then it's going to cost you. Looks much better in a darker color than the orange configuration. I really don't like the brighter colored modules. They're a bit distracting to have in a rack... especially if you have a lot of them.
Personally I like the yellow. People always ask about it since it's big and jumps out at them from the rack - "and what does that thing do?" I got mine second hand so price want so bad.
Grrrreat vídeo. I got an amateur question: how do I connect, let’s say, a FLXS1 to this but make it hit notes and not continually play the whole time. My STO is simple. I just plug the gate out into the “sub gate” of the STO. SAME FOR DPO and Verbos complex. I’m scratching my head trying to figure it out.
This is the first question anyone getting into modular will have. Sorry it took 3 years to answer but you need a VCA… from the flxs1 patch an envelope into the vca and the gate from the flxs1 will trigger the envelope into the vca which will open the signal up. Alternwively, you can fire a gate into an external envelope that will then be plugged into the vca.
Maybe I am missing something but instead of switches and a common mood index, it should have had separate index amounts for the separate modulation types.
"should" is maybe a strong word. It certainly "could" have. But that's not how the classic dual complex oscillator (the Buchla 259) works, which is what this is based on. You'll notice other complex oscillators building on that legacy don't have separate index amounts for things either.
11:30 That is literally the best explanation of AM vs Ringmod I've ever heard! Nice.
26 min - the tremolo AM / FM stuff sounds stunning!
Clicked so fast CZcams has still to optimize this video. First time I see DivKid in 144p.
Wonderful.
In-freaking-credible! One of my fav oscillators right now!
I love the Furthrrr Generator. Thanks for the video, Ben! Very inspiring ✌️😎
Such a wonderful-sounding oscillator. Thanks @DivKidVideo!

Love this module to bits...so deep
awesome demo, many thanks!
nice one, thanks!
badass module

Thanks for the lesson on modulation!
I learned some great FM/AM/RM theory.
The demo just inflamed my GAS.
Whyyyyy you do this to me Div?
Why...
Incredible video. I've been pondering one of these and this video did not disappoint
Thanks a lot for the demo! Excellent job. I just recently got one and still learning its tricks. This helps a lot. It’s a beast! Cheers.
Great video! Thanks Be
Good sounds there Ben Lad!
such a great sounding module.
Ben...Sample&Hold on FM is great too!
Top video, thank you for sharing!

NICE!!!!!! Gettin a brew on!

That would be really cool. Great idea
Add the new QARV too. It's a double double USG. (See also Cosmotronic delta v. Others?
Recently picked up the Blck_noir, loving it. This sounds excellent as well.
Enfin du bon !!!!merci

So nice. Pricey, but nicey ;-)
Wonderful tone. Would compliment dpo well
Ring modulation is either implemented as amplitude modulation or with a diode ring.
Nice!
Yo! I just patched that 4 way drum trick and it is friggin visceral!! Didn't do the low pass gate jumpers tho... I'll check that out.

32:37 talks on tempo
Very inspiring demo. I wonder if you could use the amplitude modulation as a VCA if you ran an envelope into the external in?
You can - the external in is normally AC coupled though, but there are jumpers on the back to change that.
Instruo CS L next please!
On that note, this or CSL?
@@strangemobius This one sounds less "classic". Even if the CSL must be amazing. I have one TSL and that's just top-notch
CO5MA would love to hear both side by side.
I prefer this one to the CS-L
at 28:00 , what would be the difference in using the patch cable for FM and using the hardwired FM with the switch?
probably for other than internal modulation amount

@@DivKid fair enough, thank you for the insight!
Omg I like those Endorphines modules, happy that there black now....,the others are so ugly! Nice vid as always!👍✌️Greetz
Beautiful tones!!!
Can the digital oscillator be modulated by the analog ?
yes, if you swap them round on the board.
Nick thank!
Your hand/fingers appear to be shaking quite a bit. Are you OK?
Which sequencer did you use for the sequencer examples here?
When you plug cv into symmetry or order, what do the knobs do?
