- This visit to ISKCON Bengaluru was very special to me. Because I didn't just go there as a tourist, but I also got to interact with the people. Most of the talks with prabhus are not recorded. Because it's rude to just start recording in the middle of a profound conversation.

Bhakti is very hard to process for a lot of people, because they are unable to believe. That's why sometimes it is ridiculed as idol worshipping 😢 It demands deep engagement and experience of genuine feelings. You have really believe, not just did it ritually. Well Isha too feeds large segment of people on daily basis , free health clinics, free school through Isha Vidya, Isha Velliangiri Uzhavan FPO ranks no 1 in Tamil Nadu and top 10 in India, Isha village outreach program that has inspired 1,25000 people to adopt tree based agriculture in turn increasing their income by 300-800% , many more such initiatives. Isha's Gramotsav has such a phenomenal impact in villages.
Isha yoga itself has cured people from physical and mental ailments that are prevailing in the society, millions of people have left taking pills after including few Yogic practices.
Sadhguru in conversation with Ram Janmabhoomi Trust head Swamiji has supported the spread of bhagwadgeeta. What else do you want, pls understand we are not religious organization, we don't follow abrahamic school of thought. In yogic tradition we see Shiva as the first guru who offered the science of yoga and Sadhguru openly admitted that Krishna is the ultimate Yogi.
We are not saying one book can lead you to heaven like other religions, Sadhguru is not promising the ticket to swarga or heaven , infact his fundamental work is to destroy heavens

In my experience the primary difference between Sadhguru and Iskcon is that Iskcon follows the Dvaitam while Sadhguru's teachings are more in line with Advaitam
Neither Isckon nor Isha forces you worship any god.. They just share processes. Thats why they are so popular!

I don't about Isha but Iskcon definitely forces you to worship only Krishna and even goes to the extent of calling all others gods and godesses as being demi gods. According to what I have observed, these people are fanatics who can't handle criticism and start insulting you if you start questioning them. So I would say they are just an indianised version of Islam and Christianity, propagating the same concepts of heaven and hell as well as monotheism but just with an Indian touch. Finally I would like to point out to the fact that I what I wrote so far was not to belittle the practise Bhakti, but just the organisation of Iskcon and it's shady believes.

So please don't spread FALSE information about Iskon organization. Iskon don't support violence, they always promote non violence and knowledge as per the authentic scriptures of Sanatan Dharma. Each one has their own way to liberation.. Their path is Bhakti .. logic simply can't comprehend it.. Sadhguru's path is Kriya and Gnana which deals with energies and Logic .. so Yes there will be a clash between emotions and Logical brain. But we both headed to same place anyway, Mukti i.e., Liberation

Well our civilization is always of debate, vaadh-vivaadh... And based on scriptural knowledge and realisation of own no mental cooked up speculations etc...
Differences in opinion and process in various sampradayas tend to take a back seat when the followers of various sampradayas mingle and visit each other. The differences seem large when sitting online but at the actual physical location, they seem to dissolve. That has been my humble observation. By the way, I follow both Srila Prabhupada's bhakti marg and Sadhguru's teachings through his videos.

Sadhguru in a seminar said that bhakti is not the easiest way one need to devote completely all the sadhnas are made in order make a person devotee as bhakti yoga is the toughest and most people cannot go directly into it
He legit answered my question I used to look down on people who used to do bhakti plus I never feel connected to it but sadhguru and adi shankracharya helped me be a krishna devotee (people won't understand but I'm just sharing my view) now I see shiva in krishna and I can't tell that feeling of completion ❤️

Gita also has given many paths - bhakti yoga, karma yoga, gyaan Yoga, dhyan yoga.. Generally people follow combination of these paths, hardly anyone follow only path for enlightenment..

Bhakti yoga is suitable only for those who have the seed of devotion in their hearts. And bhakti cannot be acquired but must be given by the specific deity. For others there are many paths which do not require such an absolute dependency on the Devine. 🙏

Isn't this characterizing Bhakti as a form that fits a certain distinctive nature , so if you don't possess that special quality or strive to attain it , "then it's not the path for you, then other practices are more suitable that don't require an absolute dependency" ?
This tells me that your Interpretation fuels a narrative , your belief system, because you don't dispute this to the contrary of any scientific evidence that shows other practices to not be devolutional or absolute to the Devine.
As a Shiva worshipper I find it offense, as would a Buddhist or a Sikh.
@@devendeven2023 Well they should take offense only if Shaivism, Sikhism and Buddhism have no elements of bhakti in them which most likely isn't the case. And also we all have certain abilities and we all lack certain others which make us suitable for certain ways and not so for others whether it's bhakti or anything else. If you have problem with the fact that bhakti cannot be acquired like jnana or karma and must be given by the respective deity to those who deserve it then you shouldn't really penalize me since I'm simply stating what I know to be true without looking down on paths different from Bhakti yoga.

I am wondering if any other form of yoga and meditation doesn't serve the purpose to invoke, to sew the seeds of acceptance and then realize attainment, enlightenment or mookshah , which in essence is "acceptance" by the Deity or being one with God. Does it really matter how we perform this asetic , when the goal and purpose is higher consciousness and samadhi
I guess maybe my interpretation is a much broader acceptance of how the various forms seek common goals, while yours is a more narrower interpretation of what you believe to be the absolute truth

I too have been to Iskcon temple , did hare Krishna chanting, danced with fellow prabhujis it's fun. Sadhguru has clearly instructed us not to have any identity, with due respect to Shato Akka Isha is not an identity, we are not a religious organization, for us Adiyogi is not a religious figure like Iskcon's Krishna, he is the first guru who offered the science of Yoga, it's not that I don't follow Krishna 's way of life, I'm from Madhwa tradition, and Sadhguru has truly showed me who Krishna is through his Leela series and lots of articles, i don't consider one book as a holy book , we don't have a commandment... Sadhguru is the living Krishna for me , for the first time a master has given methods to experience what it means to be human with full dimension and depth through Inner Engineering program, Isha Hatha yoga programs . Btw Shato didi in Isha we have bhakti yoga too, my day, my any activity doesn't start without bhakti yoga that was offered to me by Isha

Shato seems too interested in ISKCON instead of her own Isha foundation that's why she has so many videos on it speaking about it of whether it's controversial or not, what is it's back story etc etc instead of preaching about what she practice....

I couldn't connect or digest perspective of iskcon on bhagvat gita.I did their 5 day bhagwatgita course and hare Krishna chant before I knew who is Sadhguru .Their concept of karma, heaven an hell are same as Islam and Christianity.They say chant holy name to wash off bad karma and ultimately avoid hell and approach towards Vaikuntha.
She is official ambassador for Sadhguru
Please read the Bhagavat Gita as it is book's introduction then let us know.

Yes. Even adiguru Shankaracharya's vivekchudamani also talk about bhakti. Either way, any of these sects may be slightly subjective and slightly biased too. There seem to be many ways, indeed.
@@Dracobaldwin You really don't know anything because there is no record about in bhakti one can plead to ignorance, because doing bhakti of the God does free people from ignorance actually and motivates people to be compassionate towards animals and other human beings. But on the other hand even in guru kripa or years of disciplined sadhana, maya will still beat you in pure gyan yoga with all sorts of intellectualism because gyan without bhakti is like a train running without breaking mechanism or a pilot. The devotion to God can be true even without knowledge, but knowledge without devotion can often lead us to the wrong path. Example is Ravana and Osama Bin Laden, because they both were very highly knowledgeable person, but we all know what they did in the society with their knowledge. That's why knowledge without devotion to God is very dangerous for the society.

I actually agree with your thought process. My sense of pleading ignorance was kind of myself not knowing and hence surrendering for the love of god. There is a saying and please don't quote me on that. According to it, there are two types of Gyani/devotees. For a third person,One person looks like a fierce gyanyogi on the outside but is actually a great devotee on the inside and the other person vice versa i.e great devotee on the outside and fierce gyanyogi on the inside. In reality they both may be same but it may look like that for a third person. Good luck for your journey..

I think you don't know anything about bhakti, so why don't you try following it for a little time, just chant harinaam for 5 minutes and see the difference, you will feel ecstatic.

Bhagvad Gita itself states there are two ways two attain the lord -
Karma yoga
Bhakti yoga
But Sadguru follows none of those.
I don't think they're against Sadhguru ma'am, in Sanatan Dharm there are millions of ways to live and liberation, Krishna consciousness is one of them.
Firstly there are 5 types of mukti (liberation), so all paths don't lead to the same destination, so the term "one of them" dosen't actually make sense. And second thing ,mukti is not even the ultimate aim of Bhakti/ Krishna Consciousness. / Krishna Bhavanamrit. A person on the path of Bhakti has already attained mukti even before reaching the stage of an exalted Vaishnava. Bhakti is beyond mukti.
Remember there are 108 ways to attain God(as said by sadhguru), so iskon's way is bhakti yoga. There should be no confusion about that, a person should choose one path and master it importantly. Aage bhagwan jaane kya sahi kya galt😂😂
Buddy, I too have nothing against iskcon. But honestly I could not connect to their version of bhagwat geeta. I felt too much time spent in praising and interpreting what krishna says rather than just saying what krishna said. I think krishna is beyond all th
adjectives and no one need to praise him as he is the core of universe itself... The nurturer.
But it's a good organization and akshya patra is a great initiative.
So let's respect differences and move on.
They may not say it openly on camera. They say all kinds of vile things about Sadhguru off camera especially the lower rank Prabhus. I was a FOLK member and my mentor Prabhu used to be so critical of Sadhguru that sometimes it was equivalent to vaishanava aparadha. I no longer assosiate with that Prabhu.
This is not an "attack" on Sathguru, it's an "attack" on LORD SHIVA
The fact that Sathguru associates with the spiritual science, , principles and path of LORD SHIVA, ISKON is threatened by this. They threatened by the fact that invoking the path of our LORD SHIVA, or mass acceptance of SHIVA consciousness encroaches on their truth , on their dominion belief that SRI KRISHNA is the Supreme personality of Godhead. The narrative of Supreme Godhead is at the heart and foundation of their teaching and principles, with the intention to separate the absolute from whatever else maybe perceived as the truth about Godhead .
The "system" at ISKON is programned to indoctrinate in its devotees this fundamental belief that there is no greater God and the path of SRI KRISHNA consciousness is the absolute .
I don't associate LORD KRISHNA as any symbol of absolute power with the principle objective of converting to one absolute belief system I do however reject the cult driven approach by ISKON to push their own false agenda , especially given the fact that they they promote their teachings on a worldwide stage.
While I reject this perpetuating falsehood of the ISKON narrative of absolute Godhead, I do accept and pray salutations to LORD KRISHNA as God, and I am more resolute in my love for my LORD SHIVA

Krishna is always there in the temple in the form of idol. It's not that easy to meet Krishna. You have to do tapasya or saadhana for many life times to meet Krishna, even for that(to do saadhana) we need Krishna's blessings.

He has not read any shastras, fine. He has done some sadhanas and realised the truth. Fine.
But how do you know that what He has realised is actually the truth (the Absolute Truth, to be specific)?
If your teacher tells you that he has realised maths without studying it, and then he tells you that according to his realisations, 5+6=20, how will you make sure if he has actually realised the true maths or not? Obviously, you will check authentic maths books.
So, have you ever verified using the shastras if what Sadguru is saying is actually the absolute truth or not?
Let me tell you one thing, most of the "stories" and "theories" made up by him are not even true (leave aside the ABSOLUTE truth, they are not even relative truths).
The other thing he does is speaks some facts (relative truth) and elaborate on them using word jugglery (making it seem complicated), over-emphasising a few points (making it seem like some deep realisation) and occasionally, in a soft voice slowing down his talking pace and stressing on some words (making it seem meditative and mysterious)
It's like having a big and beautiful gift box which is empty, or an expensive book with an attractive title and cover page but is filled with some 5 year old's scribble.
............ and above everything, he has never once touched the subject matter of understanding the Absolute Truth.
I am not saying this because I hate him or have any grudge or something. I am saying what I have personally experienced. I used to listen to his lectures, mostly WhatsApp forwarded videos, and I too used to feel that he was a yogi or a guru. But once I started to enquire about the absolute truth from the shastras, I was really confused as to why Sadguru's lectures and the word of shastra did not match...... that's when I slowly started to realise the game he plays for fame. And I hope his blind followers would realise it too.

The ISKCON temples doesnt feel like actual Hindu temple at all. If you are a Hindu , then you should learn about Vedas and Tantra and Mantra and get knowledge about various types of Poojas and how to perform them. Hinduism is not just about one book called Bhaghavad Gheetha .

With all Respect The statement "There way of teaching not match with Sadguru." is wrong if they are teaching Bagavat Gita. I am Reading Bhagavt Gita since the last 6 years and i also listen Sadguru. At a deep level i dont see any difference in both. What he talks is exactly from Bhagavat Gita. Not just sadguru even all our Gurus and yogis are talking the same.

Its my personal view -
This disagreement is true between Dvaita , Advaita and Vishnu vs Shiva , its only done by normal devotees. This disagreemnts goes back to H.H Madhvacharya time... In my view H.H Madhvacharya also didnt try to reduce the disharmony between two groups.. Becasue before him H.H Shankaracharya revived the Shaivism.. So to show Vaishnavism is great it was necessary for him. That continues today..
Some Vaishnavas dont go to Shiva temple, for me it seems absurd.
Iskcon Would be cool or more powerful I think if they use to teach Yoga also, I have nothing agaist Bhakti Yoga of course but is a little bit poor for the Body I think. Btw a friend told me that in Iskcon theyt use to teach some meditation also to the real devotee, I don't know how one be a better devotee then an other but I don't want to judge. 🙏🕉🦚🦚🦚 Jai Shree Krishna!
ISKCON won't teach anything related to this body or the material world, ISKCON teaches how to come out of this material world and live eternally in spiritual planets because this material world is full of miseries and temporary.

I am isha meditater.few day ago I went to ishkon because I wanted some peaceful place to do my shambhavi. I spent 3 days There.They. Are very nice people and place was good.but i felt their teachings are just based on bhakti there is no logic in it. But still they are doing great job.
There is logic behind every small things they do. You might not be aware or conscious about that view
Each one has their own way to liberation.. Their path is Bhakti .. logic simply can't comprehend it.. Sadhguru's path is Kriya and Gnana which deals with energies and Logic .. so Yes there will be a clash between emotions and Logic brain
@@theprevailing3650 The thing, the followers of Sadhguru also develop bhakti, but it comes out of their Kriya sadhana experience. Not through reading, imagining, hearing stories repeatedly or recreating past experience. So the bhakti of isha meditators is subtle, grows slow, cannot be fanatic and at once connects them with not just Sadhguru, but all the gurus, yogis, gods. With Iskcon, a lot comes with imagination, repetition. Those who naturally are in the state of bhakti are extremely rare in this age where logic supercedes perception. Bhakti is the culmination of all sadhana, not a starting point.

You can start with an imperfect bhakti, which grows more complete as the yoga proceeds.
In your point about there being very few people who are naturally in the state of bhakti -(probably you're talking about bhava samadhi) - you seem to refer to perfect bhaktas; If this is the case I agree.
However there are very many people who already have had a small glimpse of the state of bhakti - which expresses itself as an attraction to the Godhead. it would be more logical for them to develop it further, rather than doing some pranic kriya.
(I'm making a general observation here..I don't want to pass comments on either of the traditions)

LoL So don't speak wrong about ISKON organisation by saying that they rely on imagination only, when all the knowledge of Iskon does comes directly from the shastras. The Iskon followers are naturally are in the state of bhakti, that's why their logic supercedes perception. Like you said that the bhakti is the culmination of all Sadhana, not a starting point.

I was (still I'm but..) also an open minded person but unfortunately after understanding the perspective of Shrila Prabhupada ji from his followers now I totally disagree with his philosophy and hate his abrahamic mindset. If Prabhupada ji were alive today, he would have unhesitatingly called Sadhguru a Rascal and a bogus teacher just like he called (unhesitatingly) Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Swami Vivekananda a Rascal.
What? He called Swami Vivekananda a Rascal? Ah! No wonder most of his bald devotees , popular preachers on social media are arrogant and half their talk is busy mocking others in a pedestrian manner. And many of them are busy delivering Life Guru type speeches while just monks for a few months! And then (ahem) some of them are former monks! It's like a fancy dress. Yes, even I noticed a few of them obsessed with heaven and hell concept n I was baffled. Glad u noticed n called it out too! Krishna is an excuse for them to praise their own group. I suspect if Krishna himself came down and did not act as per their pleasure, they will banish Krishna too! Irony of it! And look at their acting of "sattvik" superiority. Completely forgetting that once when Krishna met with Pandavas while they were in hiding and in exile in the Jungles, Draupadi being very poor at that point, could only offer him a clove of garlic to eat! Which means Krishna himself ate garlic and surely onions. I am not sure which Krishna they follow!

Furthermore, he had even claimed that he would build an army of followers who would go around asking common people where they follow Krishna or not and if someone does not follow Krishna he/she would be executed. Both of the clips are still present in CZcams. This is the type of person Prabhupada was. Glad to see people realizing the type of monster he was and the way Iskcon manipulates it's followers by portraying him as avatar of god.

Path of Bhakti is there for thousands of years. It's also a way to Sadhana among others. Even, anybody can mix lots of ways together with the proper guidelines of a guru. These things is there. It's true.
But, ISKON is just an Abrahamist organization without the violent part. Yes, there are proper and by born Sanatanis also are there for actual spiritual sadhana but the influence of the foreigners are high. That's where the problem is. Their teachings are not the reflections of the Hindu civilizational ethos and it's philosophies but the western idea of god and more.
So, I think if anybody wants to explore the Bhakti Yoga, he/she should go to an actual Indian - Sanatani Mandir, Ashram, Math or organization where the westerners are not that influential. There are many Sampradayas in the Himalayan area and south India who teach the traditional guru parampara based Bhakti Yoga. I bow down to them 🙏🙏🙏
Everytime I've been to Iskcon... someone there has been mean to me. EVERYTIME.Don't get me wrong, I love Krishna but not organised religion.
