This was my father's favorite hymn -- we sang it youth groups after it was absent from the the new 1956 Baptist Hymnal - and In The Garden was also.cut.. Another beautiful hymn had the Hawaian tune - He Lives On High... On all of these, there may have been copyright and permission issues.
My husband of 66 years went to be with the Lord 5 months ago. This hymn is so comforting and touches my heart deeply . Thank you Lord.
